Honestly loved this skate rink! It's so cute the way it's decorated. The two ladies working were also super nice. My only two complaints would be the outdated speaker kept going in & out, and I paid $5 for a large water. Water is the only drink you get free refills on. Went for a kids birthday party (not private.) I don't know if she was the owner or manager, but as soon as I walked in to buy a ticket the woman had a bad attitude. When I went to get my skates, I saw her yelling at someone else. She seemed to be arguing or picking fights with several different people through out the night. The parent who was hosting the party told me that same woman told her they weren't allowed to bring in cupcakes and cake, but she allowed the other party happening to have them. They also told the parent hosting they refunded her $100 and needed to charge her again, but there was no refund and when confronted they backed down very quickly. It seemed as though the pricing to get in was inconsistent as well. I was charged $15 to get in, while another parent was charged $20. It would've been a nice experience had the owner/manager not acted the way she did. I don't know if it was a bad day for her, but I think overall I wouldn't recommend. read more

Overall it's a chill spot to skate and have fun. but there are few things that myself and many other think that should be changed. Mainly the prices, and not being able to bring water, soda sure but I think not being allowed to bring water is really weird. And the food and drink they sell are very overpriced and everyone even the workers agree it's very expensive. I also wanted to note about the temperature in the building. It is always very hot and I had gotten heat exhaustion and fainted from the heat. But even with those negatives I still go there to have fun. Again overall a decent spot to go skate. read more

At first I was concerned about this place because of the reviews. Still went with an open mind and was not disappointed. Had an amazing experience with my family. 10/10 coming back. If I HAD to nitpick in something it would be the skates you are handed. They are without a doubt beaten down but if you just adapt to them you'll have a great time. Well the place is clean that's about the only good thing going for it the owner is rude for starters and the fact that non skaters have to pay a spectators fee is ridiculous. The owner will probably comment below how this is a business and she has to make money listen i get but full price for ppl that have to go have there child wants to skate is crazy maybe a $5 parent fee like other rinks is reasonable but i payed 15 for my mother that i take care of just to come in the building cause i wanted to take my daughter . She also had signs up that do not reflect what she charges then tells me i should call the voicemail it's more up to date ok so then take down the signs it's bad busin Honestly you're better off going to AR entertainment for 25$ all inclusive. This place is ridiculous. I took my daughter skating on 4/23/21. The lady at the front desk, Donna, charged me $13.00 for one skater. I swiped my card and signed for the $13.00. At 9:52 pm that same evening I was charged an additional $130.05. The owner Carlett said she looked into the additional charge when I went to see why I had been charged and she told me that they have my signature for the 130.05 yet I specifically signed for 13.00 and showed her the transaction on my banking statement. Instead of admitting that her employee was in the wrong she offered me a 6 month skating pass, or a birthday for 10, Or a gift certificate in the amount that I was charged. This tells me that she knows her employee falsified a charge and refuses to give back the money. Shame on this place and it's owner. I will not be returning. read more

Went in right at the beginning of adult night to an empty rink. Less than an hour later the place is packed and almost nobody is wearing masks. The tables aren't spaced for social distancing as well. We called and asked about a refund because we left when we saw how many people weren't wearing masks and they said they weren't required to have masks and they don't give refunds. I definitely don't recommend going here during the pandemic. EDIT: I have messaged the owner and will update this review with anything that happens. EDIT2: After contacting the person who replied to my review they said I could contact them for a refund. I tried a few times and one of those times I ended up on the phone with robin the owner. She was extremely rude and gave me contradicting information to what the other manager told me. She said I had to come in no matter what to get a refund where the other person said I could just call. I'm sure the first person was fine but I ended up just never catching her at work. I never ended up receiving a refund. read more

Nostalgia at its best! I still love this place after growing up coming here and now bringing my kids to skate. Adult night was so fun and it was so awesome to see the skaters dance skate!! We made prior arrangements to meet as a group and had a quoted price of $8.00 then the owner refused to keep up their end of the agreement and charged $10.00. Customer service here is non existent. The owner of the business is rude and unaccommodating. My son decided to put $5 of his own money in the music machine. It says 15 credits for $5 dollars which made him think 15 songs of his choice would play, wrong each song is $1 and on top of of that the songs he picked won't play until their automatically generated playlist is over and they have no way of checking to see how long it will take. Anyway my son heard 1 song that he chose in the 2 hours we were there. The owner refused a refund and I suggested she put a sign stating this for the future. I do not recommend this place!!! It is a ripoff! Went on a Saturday afternoon and charged us $15.00 per person no matter the age. I have a 1 1/2 year old and still charged us $15.00 for him. Even if you are not skating they charge you full admission. The food is horrible! Soggy pizza! Even if you wanted to leave and get something to eat else they don't let kids out unless they are leaving for the day. Also, the management and little workers have bad attitudes. Before I came to this place, I read the reviews and they were pretty bad. My family and I decided to try this place anyways because it was the closest to our home. First off, when we walked it it was nice/clean. The lady greeted us and told us the price and we paid. Plain and simple. Btw the skates are included in the price. We got our skates with no problems and went and found a place to put them on and enjoy our time. They played games throughout the night and the music was pretty good. The reason I only gave 4 stars, was because towards the end of the night they start closing most of the sitting areas and they keep announcing people to move their things. 1.The lady at the window is so rude!! We had bought 2 groupons for a total of 8 people. She said we couldn't use them both since we bought them on the same groupon account. So dumb! Either way they are still getting our business regardless who's groupon account they were bought on. We had to get a refund through groupon and repurchase it again just to skate. 2. The plastic kiddie skates are $5 extra on top of what you have to pay at the door. The little walkers they have for new skaters are additional $10. Their prices at their snack bar are just as bad as the concession stand at the movie theater for lesser quality food. 3. The Groupon came with 4 hot dogs from their snack bar. The guy had no problem giving them to us when we were ready for them. They came out of a steamer. When we opened them they were so cold. He failed to mention that they weren't cooked yet. I know business need to make money to keep going but my goodness this place is insane!!! And they have poor customer service!! Tried this rink for the first time Friday night to dip my toe in the water before I try their adult nights on Sunday, and loved it! I've been skating for 6 years now and been to a couple different rinks throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana and can say this is one of the better rinks. Little kids are very respectful, floor is good, music selection is awesome. What I appreciated most about the rink is that they don't care how you skate or what your skates look like. I was expecting to find both the major rinks in San Antonio to be chill, but only this one takes the cake. I saw in some other reviews people complaining about $10 admission with skates included being too much, which I have to disagree. $10 is cheap for a skating rink and even more so when the rentals are included. Really they should up the prices seeing as how skating rinks are a dying business, and our local businesses need that support. In regards to the reviews complaining about over-priced concessions: every rink I've ever been to between Chicago and backwoods of Arkansas is like that. You don't go to a skating rink to eat, you go to a skating rink to skate. read more

Visiting my parents from out of state and wanted to take my kids to where I grew up skating. My youngest daughter cannot be immunized against Covid-19 due to her age so asked if I could peek inside to see how many people were in the rink before we paid to skate. The woman at the front desk, apparently the owner, acted as if I was asking her to move the entire world for me. Such tremendous attitude. You would think that people would be a bit more understanding. The place was SO hot with no water to be found for purchase. Sad to see such a difference from when I grew up. Rink is pretty basic. The environment is not as great as others in the area. They charge u for skates even if you bring your own! Kind of defeats the purpose it should just be an admin fee like most but probably bc they don't make enough profit. They don't have a different price for those who bring their own skates vs you using theirs. The staff especially the owner is rude. I was charged more per extra child again not what was told when I reserved the party. Our package was to include skate rental and an ice cream and drink for everyone I paid for. But we only received a dozen ice cream sandwiches and 1 pitcher of soda that poured 8 small cups. The concession stand was not ready or stocked and my guests were told it was because they didn't expect the party as we were not reserved but a walk in. My girlfriend walked in and the lady didn't tell us the price, she just walked to the back to the snack bar and told us that we can meet her back there she will give us the receipt. Once I got back there I checked my receipt and it was $22.00 for me and my girlfriend. WAY TO OVER-priced. Haven't even touch the floor to skate yet i immediately asked for my money back. The lady told me she can not give me it back. Called the cops and they advised that they have in tiny font when you walk in that they can't give money back so therefore they aren't obligated to do so. WATCH OUT FOR THE Older Teenagers/young adults My 12 year old son whom is an advance skater and I visited this rink for the 1st time this evening and arrived close to 8pm; therefore my son only had a little over an hour of skating because the fact it closes at 9pm...after 20 minutes or so my son finds decent skates that fit correctly and wasn't so messed up. He finally gets to skate that he was looking forward to doing this evening, when a much older teenager...probably 20 years old harshly tells him to get off the floor. When my son pointed him out I noticed he was standing with 2 employees that I recognize as we were getting settled in; so I assumed perhaps he worked there and wasn't aware that an employee had already given permission for him to skate because it was 17 & up and Advance skaters only during that time; Anyhow when I went to approach the young man if he worked there, he responded No in a Rudely defensive manner with attitude and that's when I asked in kind adult manner "why did you tell my son to get off the floor?" Long story short the other 2 teenage employees decided to intervene but in a very hostile manner along with the young man whom was already getting pretty brave with me in The Children of The Corn manner. I ended up speaking with the manager with tears., I have never been treated like that by anyone nevertheless kids. I think this place needs to hire kind mature teenagers or young adults with good character. However the one short young girl with glasses that runs the floor was respectful and very helpful. The other 2 need a lot of training and the one kid that's a regular shouldn't be allowed there if he's going to be bullying little kids and disrespecting customers. That's how things get out of control and could end up really bad, this behavior should not be allowed and there needs to be more order in an environment such as this. Seriously thank God after one of the employees was being hostile with me because of his friend, I looked at him and said please do the right thing and go with me to speak to your manager about this and be honest because the 2 of them with the guy I started the conversation with were all against me "the adult" which if one didn't know what was going on could of assumed I was harassing them. He then apologize and walked with me to speak with her and I thank him for being honest even if that was his friend because that was wrong and they handled it in a poorly manner.
