They were able to get my…read morecar in the same day (Friday at 3pm but I dropped my car off around 12pm and left the keys in the vehicle as I needed to get to work before 3pm), which was nice considering how many other places weren't available until several days or even weeks later. They were kind and helpful with a quote, and made some minor fixes (e.g. added more steering wheel fluid) even though I ended up not getting the repairs fixed with them. I'm giving four stars only because I felt communication regarding status and expectations was comparably less helpful/effective than with other places in my personal experience. Specifically, I wasn't called to know what the status of my car was, I had to call them; and they also didn't ask me for any contact information initially (I left my contact information with my keys in the vehicle but I am unsure if they noticed). It also seems like they don't work by appointment, it's more like a first-come-first-serve basis, which is fine except I didn't know that; since I was told it would be assessed at 3pm was expecting an assessment that day or the following day by phone call. My car didn't receive a full assessment until Monday and I wasn't given the actual quote until Tuesday morning. I'm sure they are very busy and I'm thankful they were able to help me with the quote, I just wish there would have been better communication about their service process and regarding my car's assessment needing to be pushed back. It's my only car and I had to scramble to arrange alternate transportation for Monday and Tuesday. However it was an overall good experience with Chad when we did communicate. I did not get my car fixed with them because I am going to buy a new car instead.

Took my vehicle here a few years ago they misdiagnosed the issue after I bought the part and tore…read more the dash out of my car to replace the part. It wasn't even what was causing the issue. Couple years went by. I decided to take it back. Give them another shot. I understand mistakes happen they agreed to swap the transmission fluid for $100. They named the price, not me if I included the supplies which I did. I made the reservation a week and a half prior to being there, I dropped the vehicle off at 8 AM . I had things to do that day, but I figured it would be done by noon. I only live a mile away so it shouldn't take long to cool down. I called didn't get an answer. Drove by at 1:30 and all the stuff was still sitting in the car, they hadn't even touched it finally called back again an hour later they answered said they got tied up looking at the other stuff wrong with the car I asked him to listen to the compressor to see what he thought of the noise and that I had a loose ground wire in my driver side door, and none of the windows would roll up or down, unless I opened the door sometimes 90% of the time they would work the way they should but the 10% of the time they would not work I would just have to crack my driver side door and it would work fine after going to pick up the vehicle. The price increased from 100 to 150 because he said he had to look at the other stuff so I guess he charged me $50 to listen to the compressor when I figured he would hook it up to a vacuum to see if the coolant and the pressure was in the sync, but he didn't even do that. He just listened to it. That's also how he misdiagnosed the previous issue with the car. He listened to it as for the windows he said I have a broken ground wire in the door. I was already aware of that I had a loose ground, but they still worked now they don't work at all after he messed with it. I've left four voicemails with no return call so now I've got an air conditioner that works when it wants to and four windows that won't roll up and down at least before I dropped it off. I had windows that would roll up and down. Don't take your car here. That place is a scam. I should've realized after the first round but the second red flag is he basically works out of a junkyard. I live near there his vehicles don't move no idea how the rating are as high for this place as they are. That's the only reason I used it. I never would've taken my vehicle there in the first place by the way the place looks from the outside, but it's just my work vehicle didn't figure they could hurt it. Come to find out they can. UPDATE: figured I wouldn't receive a call so I just went to the shop. He basically said it's not his fault that it broke while he was messing with it. You've been warned. Folks

My transmission line started leaking somewhere before Champaign, IL, on my way down to deer hunting…read morecamp. I got back on the road after gassing up and filling my transmission fluid back up. Shortly after getting back on the highway, my "check engine" light came back on. I was debating whether or not I should go further, but pulled off the road at the next exit, which was Mattoon. After stopping at the first auto shop, which did not do transmission work, I was referred to CIT. After getting there, they quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me several options. I had to leave my vehicle behind and come back for it later. They did excellent work, and I was extremely happy with the quality of work done, and how they helped me. Very trustworthy people. Although I live several hours away, if I needed something done with my transmission, I would consider going the distance, knowing that it would be done right.
