Ordered delivery and it was a great experience all around. I would have given 5 stars if the pricing and sizing was clearer on the menu online. Our order: - A small (12") toasted hot Italian sub with oil and mayo and everything on it - A "small" calzone with meatball, spinach and herb wash with marinara on the side. This was huge- PLENTY for 1 person. Food was delicious, fresh, hot, flavoured well and we will definitely order again. Glad we got the herb wash on the calzone. When ordering know that the size large is LARGE- like 22" Large, especially for subs and calzones. Also they have a delivery charge included in the price- not sure if the driver gets that or not so we gave extra cash. read more

We originally found Cara Mias when we lived in Rutland back in the early 2000s and always visit when we are back in the area. If you are craving East Coast style pizza, you won't be disappointed. Their Ceasar salad is worth it as well. read more

During my short stay in Rutland, I spotted several times the Cara Mia's Pizzeria delivery trucks "whizzing by" through Downtown Rutland. The delivery trucks are oven heated for "hot" delivery. I was getting hungry and I decided to give Cara Mia's a try for dinner takeout. Cara Mia's Pizzeria is open 7 days a week at 11AM and geared towards takeout and delivery only since the place has no table seating, just a few seats for waiting across from the order counter with open kitchen area. For takeout, I ordered a Small 10" Cheese Pizza ($5) and a Spaghetti & Sausage Dinner ($5), totaling $11 with tax. I watched my food being made as I waited. The pizza dough was hand stretched and spun in the air, then topped with sauce and Grande mozzarella cheese and put in an oven lined with bricks. The food was ready in under 12 minutes. The cheese pizza was pretty good, which had a thin chewy crust with plenty of thick tomato sauce and cheese, a bit greasy. The spaghetti & sausage (in a round foil container) was very good, which was a good sized portion of al dente spaghetti, a thick soft Italian sausage and plenty of thick and chunky tomato sauce, served with a warm section of soft French bread loaf. I enjoyed the food with a nice green salad I had packed in my cooler. Overall, a solid good dinner at a reasonable price with a few pizza slices leftover. Tried pizza here for the first time. Large cheese pizza and large pepperoni pizza. We usually go to another spot but we all decided this will be our new pizza place! Would have given five stars but the crust was about 1 and 1/ 2 inches on one side of the pizza. If it's 1/2 crust with sauce almost all the way up, that would make the pizza five stars. read more

Always, always consistently strong quality in the pizza. The sauce has something unique about it, unlike other pizza joints. Dough is extremely good. Never had a bad pie there. It's quick and reasonably priced. If you come from out of town, this is a can't miss for take-out. read more

Very disappointed to see that all staff members were not wearing masks and were not following social distancing guidelines. It's clear the owners of Cara Mia's do not take our current pandemic seriously, will not follow state guidelines, and don't care about their customers or community. One of the fastest restaurants in Rutland. Usually takes 10-15 minutes every time, while other lunch options like Gills usually take an hour (if you call in) I think the food is great here, the people are nice. We choose Cara Mia's AT LEAST once a week. I really recommend you to try this place out. I haven't had one bad thing off the menu. My suggestions.... Hot Italian Sub Any Calzone Chicken Parm Sub Pizza is great, with authentic Sauce, and thin crust. Definitely in the Top 2 of Rutlands Best Pizza. read more

Cara Mia's used to make the best sauce, the best pizza, the best Stromboli, and the best Antipasto. Unfortunately their prices went up and their quality went down. Pasta dishes are now microwaved instead of hand cooked, salads are no longer made with high quality deli meats and cheese, the sauce and pizza are still decent but not the same quality they used to be. I have been a loyal customer for years but my recent experiences with a female employee named Jennifer have forced me to spend my money at Ramuntos. Better pizza better customer service. Customer service still means something to people with money to spend. Jennifer was so rude on several occasions that I made sure to get her name so I could speak to the owner about her. As a local business owner I know the importance of hiring good employees who understand customer service and customer loyalty. If I had an employee as rude as Jennifer she would have been fired immediately. Unfortunately for me and Cara Mia's I know spend my money at Ramuntos. Better quality food, better customer service and customer appreciation. If the owner of Cara Mia's would like to address my concerns I'd be happy voice my concerns. read more

Their pizza is generally good to slightly above average but their prices are higher than most in the area, sometimes twice the price than others. What they do well is their large or small antipasto salad!.....(which I generally order while the kids have pizza). It's the best out of all of them and the layers and levels of flavors really made the salad. All in all I would recommend Cara Mia's. read more

I can't say how their pizza is because I haven't tried it, and never will. We ordered eggplant and sausage parmesan plates from the pasta section of the menu as take-out, and once we got our food we found that they didn't include pasta with either. $10.50 for three sausages in a bit of mediocre red sauce. Eggplant was mushy, with the same below average red sauce, and also with no pasta. Order from The Palms or Avellinos just up the street, you'll be much happier. read more

We stayed in killington for the weekend and were looking for an Italian restaurant to order some pasta from for delivery. We found this place on yelp, called, ordered, gave them our address, and were told one hour for the delivery. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 hours we received an upwards of 4-5 phone calls from the restaurant to clarify our address because they "couldn't find it in the GPS". The staff kept saying "ok we will send the driver out when he gets back. I finally decided to call after waiting another 20 minutes just to be told that they don't deliver to killington and would not be bringing us our food. This all could have been avoided if the staff was competent enough to ask for the town we were in from the start. You'd think with so many people visiting killington for the weekend to ski that this is not the first time someone in the killington area has called to order food. I'd suggest management looks into who was taking orders last night because what happened was completely unacceptable. read more

We stayed at best western in Rutland and ordered delivery. It was excellent. Delivery was right on time and they got everything on our order correct and made sure it was right before they left. All of our warm food was warm and our salads were bagged seperately and were cold. read more

Cara Mias charges an entire dollar for anything other than the lettuce and meat (specifically on mine was black olives, pickles, onions and cheese). I have given them the benefit of the doubt and I have ordered a sub from Cara Mias a couple of different times now and every single time they have been skimpy with their fillings. I think i counted four onions, seven black olives and four pickles...for four dollars. The time before this I got tomatoes when I didn't ask for them nor am I a fan of them. I also asked for extra pickles and again could count them on one and a half hands. Hence this review. If you are looking for a loaded up sub, meat and no extra cost for veggies, check out Maxies Tubs and Mini Subs on State Street in Rutland. Reasonable and much tastier. read more

Canned mushrooms on pizza? That's a mortal sin. I thought the first time I ordered from them they might have run out of fresh mushrooms, so I gave em a pass and waited a couple of months to give them another shot. Well, canned mushrooms. Ordered a mushroom & green olive pizza today, unfortunately they don't have green olives. When the pizza was delivered I called to let them know there was a problem. Without any arguments and some apologies (they tried to call but it didn't go through somehow) they offered us a new pizza. Great service and really good food. MUST try the cannoli. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. We got 2 pizzas delivered. We asked for white sauce cause our friend is allergic. He couldn't even eat the pizza because they put red sauce on the pizza and it was alight amount. We call and they wouldn't even fix their mistake. They acted like we didn't just order there. The other pizza had green peppers on it, that's what we wanted. But they were completely raw not even cooked. I don't know what pizza joint they're trying to run but this is depressing. I've found ramountos pizza in the dumpster better than this crap. read more

Very rude employees. Ordered for dinner tonight and the girl on the phone was very rude and did now understand when I asked if they were able to do thick crust for the pizza and she did not understand what I was trying to ask. She then she seemed frustrated when I told her I wanted to pay with a credit card. This isn't the first time I've had employees from there being rude to me. Will never go here again after eating here for 5 years..... there food was good but high in price. If u make your own pizza with 5 toppings it will cost around 45. Well I ordered there today off the menu and they messed it up and called me a lier. And because I didn't want them to remake my food just to spit in it I wanted my money back and they told me to go to hell..... all over $10. There always rude there and the girls are the worst!
