Apparently, they often sell out and close early. So I was thrilled to finally get my hands on them today after so much anticipation. The donuts themselves are fantastic: huge, fresh, and incredibly fluffy with a perfect, not-too-sweet texture. However the fillings didn't quite hit the mark for me. They all were too tangy and heavy. The chocolate cream filling was sour, and the raspberry tasted rather stodgy, nothing like the light, sweet jelly from Krispy Kreme. At $14.99 for a half-dozen, there are fillings galore to choose from, which is great, but it might take some experimenting to find the right one for me. They also offer coffee, bubble teas, and a "wall of goodies" that looks intriguing On the bright side, the service was terrific! The young lady behind the counter made sure my sister and I had a very positive experience, and the place was spotlessly clean. Even though they were getting ready to close, we never felt rushed.. Despite the filling disappointments, I'd definitely go back to try some different options - I'd love to find my perfect custom donut, and how lucky I am to have found a place that may facilitate that, right here in Kannapolis.
