Absolutely delicious! Ordered roasted pork shoulder, moros, plantains, and Cuban bread for a party of about 25. The pork was tender, roasted to perfection; plantains sweet; and, moros to die for! One word: Buñuelos. I have been searching high and low for buñuelos for a couple of weeks. Usually they are not very good when you buy then, and they are way too tedious to make. I saw Pinocho had them available daily and they claim they make "los mejores buñuelos de Miami" right on their label, so I thought I should give them a chance. I woke up early and suffered through Miami traffic, and thankfully it was totally worth it. They looked so good I bought ten, for no reason. I just had them and they are absolute perfection, soft, flavorful and the almibar is just right. Thank you, Pinocho! I will definitely be back! I will also add that they have a great selection of Cuban goodies, including pan de gloria, masareales, croquetas, empanadas, cakes, bread. The rating on this place needs a serious update. The last time I was in this bakery was when they didn't take credit cards so it's been at least 15 years! I was hoping for a simple tostada, croquetas, pastelito and a cafe con leche. As soon as I walked in I got a very cold Whaddya Want in spanish which would be "Que Quieres?" Not even a good morning how can I help you? When I said una tostada the rude ass lady was off to the races! The place was empty so who knows?That gives you an idea of the service here. The food: What I first noticed was the tostada cracking and crumbling under the weight of the plancha which could only mean one thing: OLD BREAD. And the plancha was cranked on super high so it was over done when she tried to give it to me that way...I asked nicely to please make me another one not so burned hoping she would use fresh bread. Nope. It must be against the rules cause she went for some bread that was pre packaged and read Pan Para Pan con Bistec . She very rudely told me "Oh I know you dont want it on the plancha huh?" I said very nicely yes please just not burned. Then came the "what else do you want?" I repeated my order of 2 croquetas, a pastelito de guayaba y queso and a cangrejito de jamon. When I tasted my breakfast it was just HOT GARBAGE. The tostada was now just old cuban bread with butter barely toasted and cold in the middle; the croquetas were from yesterday EWW and the pastelito of GandQ was devoid of any moisture. The cangrejito was burned on the bottom and also tasted old! I had some scratch offs which I had won a few dollars and just my luck this place has lotto. When i asked this lady if she could cash them for me she just waved me off and siad "I don't do that!" I had to ask well who does??? The girl over there she answered. There were 3 other girls there! Like WTF lady! When another lady told me she would change them she mentioned that it can't be too much cause we dont have cash. Wow! Today I went in the morning to eat a medìa noche sandwich (midnight sandwich) cooked with a hot Milk and coffee for breakfast. I eat there and the lady didn't charge me until I was done eating and she don't tell me the price before eating and all of the sudden the one who attended me decide to over charge like 7 bucks for a small sandwich that didn't even full me and the milk and coffee was too hot that nearly burn my tongue.for I order a breakfast subway sandwich and better deal than that. I know don't if any of you customer overpaid like me or they charge like that with everybody, and on top of that the black hair Hispanic lady that attended me and charge has little to no customer service skills. I wouldn't recommend anybody to come to this place if either you know Spanish or you have to speak Spanish there kind. The reason why I say that is because I know how to speak Spanish professionally, but I don't speak there kind of Cuban Spanish! I typically order from them if there is an event at my sons school since they open the earliest of the bakery's on the way. Today was the LAST STRAW. I ordered 2 trays of pastries for 6:30 pick up. My husband was the 2nd person in the door and after being made to wait for the one person to tend to the other 4 customers who walked in behind him before checking on our order she comes out and tells him it'll be an hour for them to be ready as they're going in the oven now! At 7 when the order was supposed to be ready for 6:30. Their quality is questionable at best and their customer service is consistently sh*t. Do yourself a favor and drive to Karla bakery or La Rosa.
