Last week every morning, we'd check out a different coffee shop and our usual order always included croissants and an assortment of pastries. I should have just stuck with Caracas instead of let our curiosity take over trying the other new spots in the area. The cortaditos and pistachio croissants were absolute perfection. The filling of the pistachio cream together with their flaky and soft croissant was 10/10. Never had a croissant so good like that one! On our last day, we picked up about a half a dozen like the Nutella cruffin, guava and cheese danish, banana loaf cake to name a few and dropped them off to family. Everyone loved it! Next time we visit, this will be our go-to for coffee and baked goods. The coffee was so good, it even inspired us to become baristas! I had a really good experience at this bakery! I had an iced cafe con leche which was smooth and delicious. I had a soft scrambled egg and a cheese pastry ( I forgot the name but it was incredible). It was crispy on the outside and gooey cheese on the inside. I recommend a side of cilantro sauce, it is soo good. I have to subtract a star for the long line, wait time, and small amount of seating. I was definitely expecting more with all the recent social media hype but coffee was fine, nothing . The stand out was the tomate toast. We should've gotten there earlier than 10am because the line was as far as the front door on a Monday morning. There is no room for a hostess to greet you or seat you. Just stand in line and order up at the counter, find a seat, and they bring your food to your table. It's an easy process. The server drops it off, says thank you, and quickly leaves. It's all business there. The vibe is casual and very loud inside. I ordered the Croix sandwich with the pork sausage added, which tasted good but the sausage was overcooked and hard. My daughter had the Turkey & Brie sandwich, which was just ok. We were excited to try out the Cachitos with Jamon y Queso because of the advertising but they were on the bland side, nothing special. That was disappointing. The one highlight was the Nutella Cruffin. It was perfection. We bought 2 croissants to take home. Our bill was almost $95 for an average breakfast. You should know that they also charge a 5% service fee and they include the tip already. There is a small parking lot in the front that is shared with the other businesses. I don't think there are enough words in the English language to describe my love for Caracas Bakery. Every Sunday morning growing up when I lived in Caracas, me and my dad had a tradition of getting cachitos together. This is the first place in the US that truly resembles that tradition and delivers that level of quality. I love this place so much. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The cachitos, pastries, and sandwiches are all incredible. Don't sleep on their egg plates either. Their scrambles are fantastic, and the frittata with meat is one of my favorites. Aside from the food, the vibe here is so cozy and welcoming. It is the perfect place to work. They are always playing great music, and the staff is absolutely outstanding. Everyone is so kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Hands down, this is the best service I've experienced at any cafe in Miami. You might think I'm biased, but after trying so many cachitos around the U.S. that just didn't make the cut, I truly praise Caracas Bakery not only for their food quality but also for the incredible atmosphere they have created. It feels like home for someone with a connection to Caracas, and even people who know nothing about the city or culture fall in love with it. I also have to mention that their matcha is, without question, one of the best in Miami. I don't know what magic they work back there, but it's next-level. They use Rocky's matcha (hello!) and I always get it with oat milk and honey. Honestly, it beats most of the trendy coffee shop matchas out there. Caracas is a solid/trendy bakery in the Miami area. I came here on a week day and it was surprisingly busy! I really wanted to their Cardamom pastry but that was unfortunately only available on weekends, so I got the Guava Cream Cheese pastry (8.5/10) and the Turkey/Cheese savory pastry (9/10). For my drink, I wanted to order their freshly squeezed orange juice but that also wasn't available lol. I opted for the matcha latte (7/10-way too much milk). 2 menu items not available and no signage to give customers the head up is what made me take a star off. I was recommended this place by my best friend, and I'm glad I came! Everything was so delicious. I ordered the mushroom toast, pan dulce, iced latte, and guava babka (to-go). At first, I was genuinely curious about the mushroom toast (bc it sounds pretty simple but unique - haven't heard or seen a mushroom toast before) and to my surprise, it was soooooo good. The place was packed on this Sunday afternoon. Surprisingly parking was easy to find. The service was quick and helpful. I met my family member here for lunch and it was one of the best lunches that I've had in a while. The tomato was excellent and very flavorful. You can tell it was natural and nothing more. It was a Saturday morning the first time I came to Caracas Bakery and I gotta be honest, I was so frustrated as it was so busy, I decided to leave and dine somewhere else, just because I didn't want to wait in line. I decided to give them a second chance, this time it was after a beach day early in a Saturday afternoon, there were some empty chairs this time, and it couldn't go any better. I loved it!! I had their flat white, perfectly balanced and with the right intensity coming through, priced pretty competitively. I got to sample their turkey egg croissant and the breakfast sandwich. This might be the worst experience I've had in a bakery or breakfast restaurant in Miami. Let's start with how noisy and loud it is. It's impossible to have a conversation without shouting because you can't hear the person next you. This in part because the acoustics are terrible, the employees are rudely loud, and project a lack of deference and consideration for those around them. They had many employees which is great, but they seem badly trained on customer service. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to our visit, instead we ended up leaving and going across the street. read more

The owner really needs to invest in better crowd management. First, they should add a second cashier--right now there's only one, and service is very slow. I got several items from this bakery, and some of them were a hit and miss. The Nutella Crawford was OK. It was a little bit hard and some of the other pastries. I got a bit hard. The sourdough bread I got it for my family and it was a great bread to make an avocado toast with but other than that I wasn't really sure how I felt about it and my family thought it was really hard too. I also got the coffee at this place and it was OK. It was nothing too spectacular. I really did like the mushroom toast I got I really liked how they topped it really well with all the mushrooms and it tasted amazing if there's anything I come back for it would be that. The service was pretty good. The line was very long however, it was a little bit slower than I expected. Given the amount of people that work there. The ambience was cool. But when I saw their booth at the festival..I realized I need to put the effort into making my timeframe work. They serve this delicious Shakshuka Foccaccia that is the definition of chef's kiss. It kinda looks like a lasagna but is a light toasted yet airy focaccia bread seasoned with tomato sauce and topped with a yummy runny egg and ricotta cheese. A guava cruffin (croissant & muffin hybrid) with a generous helping of guava jelly and sprinkled powdered sugar gave me a sweet ending. DRINKS Iced Matcha with oat milk: I'd skip on the matcha here. There was still matcha chunks, which means whoever made it didn't know how to make matcha. The matcha quality was also average, judging by the not very green color and taste (though I know oat milk usually dulls down the color). They use Jojo tea matcha. Iced latte with almond milk: $7 a cup is a bit steep, but I'm used to those prices by now. Overall, a pretty standard latte, not something I'd run back for. I was just thankful the color wasn't too light. They use counter culture coffee. FOOD Mushroom toast: this was the highlight of my visit. While is was very yummy and loaded with mushrooms, it IS $17... AMBIANCE Came on a Monday morning around 10:30 and it was SUPER busy but I was able to snag a table after a couple of minutes. The foot traffic died down a bit by the time I left at 2:30, but it was still pretty busy. Just to keep in mind if you're planning to work here. You can see the bakers making bread from the dining space. You order from the counter, from a menu for prepared dishes or from the pastries at the counter. We order the toast+egg Vol 1. Think perfectly toasted sourdough bread, topped with a luscious Japanese style omelette, manchego cheese and chili flakes. Really delicious. We also ordered the nutella cruffin and an apple pastry. All were delicious, and so was the latte and americano we ordered. In summary, excellent baked goods and prepared dishes (the toast was fire!), pleasant ambiance, fair prices and a lively ambiance. My father-in-law, a gourmet (with a hard "t"), told us that Caracas Bakery has the best croissant around. With that rave review, my husband and I knew we had to try it. Parking is extremely difficult in the little strip mall in which it's located. While the interior is decorated in a hip, modern style, tables sit occupied by folks on their laptops who have finished their meals or coffees quite a while ago. The staff is fine, not overly friendly, and not super knowledgeable of the pastries in the case. (When I asked what something was, they told me it was a guava "bampkin." It was a guava babka. But nonetheless, the croissant was delightful, the guava babka - inspired, the ham and cheese cachito - excellent, and the pan con tomate was expertly seasoned.
