I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the talent that is Carachele. Not only is her salon beautiful and posh - its intimate and welcoming (especially hard to find a place that feels comfortable in los angles) It is kind of a representation of her as a person absolutely stunning on the outside and yet equally as kind and caring on the inside. but lets get to what were all here for...color. I have gone to the same person for 7 years at one of the most well known salons in LA - I am a natural dark dark brunette with a lot of grays (its not age its hereditary!!!) and my hair for years I felt was impossible to get baby blonde. We would use a base that always turned orange - cut through it with 1,000 high lites and do it every month, my hair never grew and my hair always turned red and orange no matter what we did- and I know my stylist then was doing her very best with a very tall order. and she is great as well. But I took a chance with Carachele when she said she could give me what I wanted, she turned me into a bleach and tone all with out killing my hair- word to my mother is HEALTHIER than its ever been. she rooted me with the most beautiful color and I have the perfect maintainable blonde. I also trusted her to cut my hair which I never do. She came up with a game plan for me to get my hair as long as I want and as healthy as I want in 6 months, and I believe with my hear we will get there - and yet Im happier than I have EVER been with my color and cut. Also shout out to Dre her assistant for being just as cool, confident and talented- they are a great duo and I see her soaking up everything like a sponge! Again, if you are looking for blonde or just want to refresh your look, or even correct color look no further. shell win you over with her smile, talent and you will probably ask for her hair cut too.

I've been coming to Carachele for over two years now, and as long as I'm in the state of California, I will drive however long it takes to get to this woman. I'm currently in Newport, but every minute I spend in traffic is paid back ten fold with compliments and strangers asking me "who does your hair?!" I should mention I'm not afraid of change, and I've swung back and forth between platinum blonde and golden brown several times. Carachele is ALWAYS up for a challenge, and never lets my sometimes intensive request full her excitement. Plain and simple, she loves what she does and she's mad talented, not to mention a joy to spend a few hours with. She understands the technicality of what she does as well as the creative side. She's trustworthy, will tell you if something within your grand plan might be best tweaked, and will never let you leave until you're 100% happy. Love this girl and proud to support her.

    MOLD!!!!!

I finally got these horrible extensions off and there was mold all over my hair. The hair extensions had metal attachments that collected a bunch of mold underneath. Thank god I got them off!!! Otherwise I would have never known!!!

Ladies, this is it. I have dealt with a lifetime of high hopes and low results when trying to find new hairstylists. Carachele is an artist. Her technique for tastefully adding a lot of blonde while making the visual transition natural is one of a kind. She's also committed to getting the exact look you want. If you're looking to treat yourself and get it right, see Carachele!

I won't let anyone else in LA touch my hair! Not only did she to the best color correction on the worst mess up ever, she's keep my hair healthy and beautiful for over a year now oh and her styling is always the best!!;)

At my appointment, Kaz started with a wash and then spent a solid 40-60 minutes on the cut. He's super detailed. It felt like he was paying attention to every single strand. I love how it turned out.!!! After washing, my hair just falls into place naturally. I barely have to style it...just brush and go. I travel a frequently so I didn't get back for about three months, but my hair still held up and looked good. Definitely recommend Kaz.

Yuji was my hairdresser, and he was so kind, precise, and skilled with my haircut. When I first walked in, I thought, "ah this really is a no frills hair salon," and I'll admit I was a little nervous since it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and will definitely be booking with Yuji again. Thank you Hair Craft for such a wonderful experience!!!

You're escorted to the lockers to put your belongings away, given a cozy robe, and immediately made to feel relaxed and taken care of. The service here is honestly unparalleled--even compared to many places I've visited in Japan. The scalp cleansing feels incredible, and the head massage is so amazing that it deserves to be its own standalone service. While you're getting your hair done, they also offer a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks, making the entire experience feel thoughtful and elevated. As for Olivia--she was phenomenal. I came in with no specific hairstyle in mind. I simply pointed out the areas I was concerned about, and she expertly created a look that suited me while explaining what she was doing every step of the way. She gave me practical styling tips and genuinely focused on the long-term health of my hair. What stood out the most was that she never tried to upsell me on products or unnecessary services. Instead, she genuinely cared about making sure my hair was healthy and that I left happy with the results. That level of honesty is hard to find these days. If you're looking for a salon that values quality, craftsmanship, and customer care over making a quick sale, this is the place. The pricing is incredibly fair for the level of service and attention you receive. I can't recommend Olivia enough. I'll definitely be coming back!

I had a very disappointing experience with this salon…read more I booked my perm appointment in advance, drove over an hour to get there, and arrived early as they requested. However, when it came time to be seen, I was told it had been cancelled. It took multiple receptionists to realize that one of them had accidentally canceled it. The problem is that I was never notified. I didn't receive a cancellation email or text despite having notifications enabled, and no one could explain why I wasn't contacted. If I had been notified, I wouldn't have wasted over two hours driving. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. There was no tangible effort to make things right--no attempt to fit me in, prioritize me for another appointment, or offer any accommodation after I had cleared my schedule to see them and spent so much time traveling and waiting. I understand that mistakes happen, but unfortunately, I left feeling like my time wasn't valued, and I can't recommend a salon that handles scheduling errors this way. Additional note: My appointment was originally in August, but I rescheduled for July. I received a cancellation email for the August booking, but never the July one because I didn't cancel it. Edit: They claimed to have offered to schedule me with the soonest available appointment, but what's to guarantee that my appointment isn't mistakenly cancelled again? What's your new procedure to ensure my time isn't wasted? Will I receive an email notification this time? I can also schedule at home for your "soonest available appointment," so ultimately I was still offered poor customer service.

Daniel is absolutely amazing! Not only is he an absolute sweetheart and an awesome person all…read morearound but he also truly takes the time to put his focus and care into each one of his clients. It was my very first time with The Hideout Salon and not only was he understanding of any scheduling rearrangements we had to make, he also made sure to make it a point that we would be setting enough time aside for what we would anticipate needing so that when the time came, there would be zero rush along with top quality service which makes a huge difference in customer experience compared to factory booking which sacrifices quality, time, and attentiveness for squeezing in numbers, and as clients we all greatly appreciate this! While I was waiting Allie was very sweet and settled me in/welcomed me and offered me something to drink. The decor of the place felt very cozy and cute. If youre a dog lover you'll also be very happy to probably see a friendly cute Lil doggo named Carl (Karl?) comfortably shimmying his way around the shop (and if youre scared of dogs dont worry, he really just does his own thing Lol). Hes So darn cute and floofy. I came in for both a color and a consultation for a potential cut. Because I sometimes tend to notice/look at details that others may want to gloss over or perceive as me overanalyzing, it felt really difficult for me to explain to others how my recent haircut from another place just a month or two ago had specific lengths and cuts in specific areas going around my whole hair that had left my previous haircut feeling kind of "off" in certain ways and that I felt was giving my hair the very slight illusion of looking shorter than it actually really was and a little "choppy" in some areas, which then had an effect on how it framed my face/widened it instead of helping elongate it. But when I explained it to Daniel, he totally got it and even held up the individual sections that he agreed were causing those effects, why it was creating the effect that it was and how we would resolve it. I was so happy that he not only truly acknowledges and makes it important to understand where his clients are coming from (whether its concerns or goals etc) but that he also has such skill and knowledge to be able to fully do so and hit the nails right on the head. The color was also beautiful as well and because I wanted something that was healthier than permanent that would also give my hair a healthier appearance (ie shine, softness, gloss etc) he recommended the demi and also mentioned that it would make it easier down the road for me to go lighter if I ever wanted to. The color blended and matched so well with the rest of my hair and everything from the cut to the color made me feel like all of my goals were achieved. Everything Daniel did with my hair left me feeling so *Bonita*, and he was just such a joy to work with and an awesome person all around. Thank you Daniel for this lovely experience :) -------------------------------- Parking: Since the salon is in the heart of Downtown, its best to try and arrive a bit earlier than your appointment time and to be prepared for alot of one way streets and quickly turning into the available open public parking lots closeby before passing the salon (to avoid having to go further down in a circle to get back to the parking again). I believe there are 2 or 3 lots before you pull up to the salon that have big signs that say public parking. If youre driving towards the direction of the salon, out of the 3 the first one youll pass is just self-service/pay which was the one I parked in, and the other two have attendants as you pull up to the salon. Im not sure if both of those allow open access to all, so i will find out the next time I go again :) The front of the salon itself can be very easy to miss so just make sure to park before you even pass it on your GPS and youll see a small little sign over a door that says the Hideout salon when you walk up. There will be a door code for you to enter so just ask the salon for the door code in advance so that youre all set to go when you get there as well :)
