I came to Violet after a year of hair trauma that began with a botched Brazillian blowout, progressed to a botched one-length way too short haircut, and ended with suuuuper thick keratin tip extensions that damaged my already disastrously damaged hair. I was very disappointed by the hair she showed me. The hair seemed extremely thin at the ends and nothing special whatsoever. She also mentioned a haircut was $250 additional. C'mon! I know this is Beverly Hills, but that is just highway robbery. I understand paying a pretty penny for extensions and good quality hair. But $250 for a hair cut? That is highway robbery. However, I was still feeling suckered into using her extensions based off her Yelp reviews. I am new to Los Angeles and this was the only way I could find a new extension specialist, based off Yelp reviews. She quoted me a price when she moved salons she sent out an email stating she offered 30% off extensions. After having the consultation she still said she would honor the 30% discount. I emailed her two weeks later to book the appointment and she said she was unable to offer that discount anymore. Yes, Violet is pricey, not because she works in Beverly Hills, but because her service and product is actually worth every last penny. She uses authentic Russian hair that is so soft, light and naturally beautifully colored. It's not anything like Indian or Chinese hair. No one else has this Russian hair, even if they claim that they do. The color never fades. Aside from this, she does not use glue or tape, it's metal clips that are barely visible an lay flat so it's super comfortable. Most people tell me they keep their extensions in for 3-4 months, but I've left mine in for SEVEN months... and they look good until the very end. She doesn't charge by the bundle and I've really learned to appreciate that bc she literally will just fill your whole head with extensions until it's packed and sooo thick. She doesn't count strands or bundles,she just keeps going until it's perfect. My natural hair melts into the extensions and looks so beautiful.
