Walked in with my wife and a friend who was very excited to possibly buy a watch. However the minute we walked to they showed hints of bias. The doorman was very friendly with my friend(who was white) but the minute me and my wife(both black) walked in, he suddenly changed his face and asked if we're all together. Then I had a hat on and the woman said, can you please take your hat off and when I asked why, they said it's "policy" and then said to my wife no sunglasses allowed which is interesting because my wife had taken off her glasses prior to entering the store. What took the cake was that right behind me was an Asian man with his hat on. Me, my wife and my friend immediately left. I'm not sure what kind of show they're running over there but I will highly recommend that people look else where if you don't want to deal with racist antics. read more

Our friend was asking questions about engagement rings yesterday (a little after 5pm) and found one she really liked, however this worker (picture attached, her hair is now black and she was wearing circle contacts) was extremely rude. She would not help my friend find out what her ring size is and she did not provide us with clear instructions on how to proceed on an order. Additionally, she exhibited impatience and implicitly spoke in an elitist and classist manner. I understand there is a language barrier but that was no reason to talk to us that indignantly, especially when my friend was looking to buy something from your business. Inside this watch and Jewelry store, it looks like a palace. Carat and Company went all the way with its interior design with polished marble floors, Beautiful Crystal chandeliers and Winding spiral staircase. As you enter there is a door man sweeping the lobby and a very pleasant manager dressed sharply in a suit and tie. "How can we help you folks today?" The gentleman smiled as we entered. Wife had been looking at their selection of Omega's. Omega is a fine watch I have an old vintage Omega Constellation given to me by my Dad. It was very pleased to find they do watch repair here. I've been looking for a reputable place to have my Omega cleaned and serviced. Carat & Co. will facilitate shipping to Omega for certified service. There are 2 James Bond Omega models @ around $8,000. I'll pass for now. Wife selected the Omega Gold & Diamond Butterfly Design for her Birthday, a Beautiful watch. I enquired about warranties when purchasing an expensive watch and was told its with the manufacturer. If you want to take advantage of their moving sale (from two smaller stores, into one huge boutique similar in scope and size as one on Fifth Avenue or tucked inside the Place Vendome), now is the time. The store is family owned and they have an unbelievable selection of fine timepieces. Probably the only place in Queens or Brooklyn where you can see millions of dollars of watches on Display. You won't believe this place is in Flushing but knowing that some of the condos are over a $1,000 p/sq. ft., that there are billions of dollars of new construction and every major bank has a branch in Main Street, it makes sense to have a store with $250,000 watches on display. read more

Went to the store today to look at watches and was helped by an associate. I had a drink with me in a transparent plastic cup. After I finished my drink, I set it on the countertop as the sales associate was bringing out a watch to show me. The sales associate (she) then prohibited me from putting the cup on the counter. So I put it on the floor and picked it up after I was done looking at the watch she was showing me. I later walked around the store to look at other watches and threw the cup in a trashcan. She then quickly came to me and said I shouldn't have done that. She picked up the cup from the trashcan and followed me out the store. I had never experience anything like this and was wondering if this person had deep psychological problems or just really bad store policy regarding usage of their trashcans. Worst shopping experience! I won't even give one star if I could! I've ordered a watch a month ago, and they said it will be one week to ship to my home cauz they have to order it from the company, and they will call me about 3 days later. Then I've been waited for 2 weeks, there was nothing from them, no watch or any phone call at all!! So I called them the first time n let them know the watch is a gift and I need it by the end of the month, the lady didn't even make an apology but told me the watch will be ship to me before the end of the month. And NOW, the 27th, still nothing from them! Not even a phone call to explain what is happening! Finally I called, the second time, and they told me they didn't know where the watch is! WTF! I requested refund cauz I won't need it if I don't receive it by the end of this month! AND guess what, they told me I can only return it for store credit!
