If I could give this jewelry store a zero star I would. Karen and Linda are extremely rude and unsympathetic individuals. My fiancé brought a ring that has been passed down to me to get cleaned and remove a stopper prior to our engagement. However, the ring needed to be bigger so I brought it back to Morré Lyons. I went to the store on a Wednesday and they fitted me for a larger size. When I asked if it will be ready tomorrow Karen responded with "maybe" and I said what about Friday, Karen then responded with "it should be, is there something special you need it for". I explained I am going on vacation and I would like to wear my ring on vacation. Linda chimed in with "why would you want to wear it on vacation". I became very upset at this point and it showed on my face. Karen then said to me, "what are you going to do? Cry about it. You will be fine".After going back to the store on Thursday I found the Jeweler BROKE 2 prongs on my ring and it needed to repaired. I went back Friday and they claimed they "fixed it" not even a week later the diamond FELL OUT. There were many other unprofessional events that followed this interaction. Including involving family members and then proceeding to lie about it. I would not recommend Morré Lyons jewelers to anyone. read more

Not worth my time leaving a review or ever returning for any reason. It's better to go to a more reputable jeweler for repairs. I'm not sure about buying new items from them I would not. I had them resize an old antique diamond ring that over 50 yrs old and 2 weeks later the diamonds fell out and are lost forever. The repair was not suggested like a reputable jeweler would have done. This review is for Ron at Morre Lyons who I was referred to by a number of friends, and can say after my experience with him... I'd definitely refer him to anyone who's in the market for a Rolex. Ron got me a great deal on my first Rolex (got the GMT II Ceramic with stainless steel) right before the price increase back in 2010. And since my watch was coming from Rolex directly overseas, he was also able to proactively provide me with timely updates from beginning to end. Came in to have my Michele watch sized (they were on the official site as a vendor) and a battery change for another. While we waited, we explored around the store and saw many beautiful pieces. They have a decent selection of Michele watches in addition to Rolex. Towards the back are their diamond selections for engagement rings and wedding bands. Plenty of jewerly across a very large scale. There were pieces that would cost you in the low hundreds and upwards to 30k. They also have Swarovski crystals in their store. The owner of the shop was helpful and very kind. I appreciated his knowledge on the watches in his store and friendliness towards us. Will definitely return when I'm in the market for new jewelry pieces. read more

Absolutely appalled at the poor customer service I received at Morre Lyons. Never before have I spent soo much money and been treated soo poorly. This store is all about commissions. Completely unaccommodating; they threatened to sell a watch I had put a deposit down on after 5 days! They also tried to charge me a 3% amex charge, which they actually get refunded from Amex. Over the years, I've had a number of repairs done here, and my family also did a fair amount of business with Murray dating back to the Passaic days. Today, I went in for a simple battery replacement on my wife's watch (the third or fourth I've done on this watch here), but this time I was horrified. First by the sound of hammering on this $3K watch, followed by a "gee, some days these things are hard to open." For a second I thought I was in a gas station having my brakes done! Then she tells me to come take a look, pointing out that she had to remove the band to get the cover off (Really? I mean what competent jeweler would risk taking a shortcut on a delicate piece by NOT removing the band?) But what shocked me even more was that as soon as she finished demonstrating what a big deal this was, she began chastising me in front my five year-old because we were not supposed to be anywhere near her counter (uh, she asked me to come take a look!!!!!). At this point, I was absolutely boiling inside, and had to exercise every bit of restraint I could to keep calm in front of my daughter. When she was all finished, she insisted on putting the watch in an envelope, even though I told her she could simply hand it to me. Then she went one more step by taping up the envelope. I found this somewhat strange since nobody here had ever put my watches in envelopes before, and when I got home I found out why: it was because she nicked up, scratched, and defaced the back of my wife's watch during all her hammering, and obviously wanted to make sure I wouldn't notice until after I left. My fault for not looking, but I knew I had the get the heck out of that store before I lost my cool. Sadly, this place isn't even a shadow of what Morre Lyons used to be, and I am disgusted by the treatment I experienced in there today. read more

They were able to help me purchase a Rolex watch that is considered to be a unicorn in the horological world. Today I sent a letter to the shop as well as to Rolex USA. I visited this shop on Friday to have my Rolex repaired. Karen, who did not seem at all interested in helping me, inspected my watch and said it would need to be shipped out for repair. She continued to inspect my watch and said "This doesn't look like a Rolex bezel. Is it an aftermarket bezel?" She was insinuating that I had diamonds added to my Rolex after purchase. I don't know if it was the way I was dressed, the way I look or anything else that made her pre-judge me. This store is an authorized Rolex dealership WHERE I BOUGHT the watch in question. I informed her of this and I am sure she was embarrassed. She immediately dismissed the thought that it could be after market. Karen herself was also wearing a Rolex so in addition to an employee training about them she should be familiar enough with it to know the difference. Her assumption was rude, condescending, inappropriate and incompetent. Although I need to have my watch shipped to Rolex for repair under it's warranty I will be doing it through another Authorized dealership. I won't be visiting here again. read more
