Recently I ordered delivery from here and it was pretty good! My bf and I ordered chicken thigh kabob plate and the beef shish kebab plate. Both meats were tender and flavorful. The hummus was very good for dipping the meat in and the basmati rice was moist and buttery, too. They also give you a grilled tomato and pepper on the side. I've ordered from here a few times and enjoy the food. Their lunch specials are amazing and a great deal given the amount of food you get. Additionally, if you dine in you can expect to pretty much fill up on the sides. I always enjoy lule, but at Caravan their chicken thighs are a must have. I've been to Caravan atleast 4 or 5 time and even introduced the spot to my family and friends.The food is great and the service is even better. I've tried the the Lule (pronounces Loo-lay) and the Lamb chops...and they are both mouth watering.....To top that off the rice and the homus is slammin! I dont know what they do with the rice, but its all buttery flavored and delicious...the service is great, the first time I came in with my friend, I was unsure of what to get and I'm guessing who it was, maybe the owner - came out and told us what each dish was about, even busted out some samples!! Visited the restaurant for a gathering to celebrate the life of a friend's father. The cozy and friendly environment reminded us with good old days we had. Especially, when they started to serve the food. It was Persian, Armenian in rich in tasty with authentic flavors. So lately I have been exploring things within walking distance from my house, which is great because that is how I found this little gem. Don't let it's location fool you! I ordered the beef lule kabob with hummus to go. Everything was cooked perfectly! The rice was fluffy and buttery, the beef nicely seasoned and juicy, and the hummus to die for. It was actually so good that my boyfriend walked over later to pick up the same plate as me. If you are in the area definitely check the place out - the people are friendly and the food is great. Food is okay, but service is very bad. The lady was very short and rude when I asked questions about the menu. She never came back to ask if I needed anything after serving my food. I'm not a five star restaurant fan - I love passionately crafted food, flavoursome. For me generally lovingly made food always wins the day. Caravan is small, dark and sparsely decorated, from the outside you're not sure of what you are going to get. Inside, the hospitality was top notch. Friendly, delicious flavours, beautiful presentation, accommodating of our requests. Made us mint tea with sugar cubes to suck on, even though it wasn't on the menu. Service is good here, but the food is pretty mediocre. We came and ordered a variety of kabobs and appetizers. The hummus and baba ghanoush were boring, and the lavash is cold (I know it is served like this sometimes, but it's not my favorite.) I've tried the steak, spicy chicken, ground beef and ground chicken kabobs, and the only one I would recommend is the spicy chicken. The food is decent, but the service is slow and inattentive. The inside is small and there is extremely limited outside seating. We were a group of 8 and the only ones in the restaurant. The hummus, eggplant, and tatziki that they start you off with are great, but the meals are mediocre. It took a long time to get our food. read more

It's good but I've had better. There's just something lacking as far as flavor with rice and the luleh. The hummus is watery to me. Being that this place is in Glendale, they should be on top of it. Not to mention that the delivery takes forever. Don't tell me (with an ugly attitude) that delivery will take 45min-hour if you actually don't arrive on time. read more

Best Middle Eastern Food in the area! The rice is so moist and flavorful. The chicken breast kabob is perfectly cooked, slightly crisped. The ikra can't get any better. And they're very reasonably priced. They have a great deal for lunch. $6.50 for a kabob, rice, pita bread, and 2 sides of your choice... I actually used to go to Cafe Bravo across the street, but when I found Caravan, I became a loyal customer to Caravan because of the price and quality of the food. I initially went there bc I was given a gift certificate from restaurant.com and this place was local. The food is so delish, chicken is juicy and tender. There has never been many diners in the place when I have been there but don't let that fool you. I actually prefer it, quiet and peaceful. Very non frills but clean and intimate. The staff is very friendly, (must be family run). We have been back several times since my initial visit and most recently on my birthday with family. They were so welcoming and went above and beyond and created a little jello & fruit dessert for me. read more

We've only used them for take-out. The food is not always very consistant anymore, but their food is hardy. And the delivery guy (possibly the owner) is VERY friendly, with a sense of humor. Best option for delivery in this area. read more

Love their meat, not a fan of hummus, salads, or other entrées. I always order there $11 pp 3 meat catering but get salads elsewhere if I have time (99% of time I do).
