Our family has ordered food from this restaurant for years and it has usually been fresh and delicious. Armine has always been very attentive to our orders and we have never had any issues in the past. Unfortunately, our Father's Day order this weekend was a very disappointing experience. I called on Friday to place an order for Saturday evening pickup, which included chicken, shish, pork, and lamb kebabs, as well as pickled vegetables and ikra. Mareta took the order. During the call, I specifically requested only 3 skewers looleh kebabs. When I was asked if I wanted to increase the quantity, I clearly said no because many of our guests do not eat looleh kebab. However, when we picked up the order, we received 6 looleh kebabs instead of the shish kebabs we ordered and we were charged the higher shish kebab price. The food quality was also very poor. The beef and pork did not seem fresh, and the looleh kebabs tasted so bad that we threw them away. The lamb kebab was burnt, while the chicken kebab and ikra were only acceptable. The pickled vegetables were disappointing too, they were mushy, tasted unpleasant, and also ended up in the trash. To make matters worse, we were charged more than we should have been. If I were reviewing only this Saturday's order, I would give it 0 stars. I am giving 3 stars overall because of the good experiences we have had with this restaurant in the past, but this particular order was extremely disappointing. read more

Happened upon this place driving home one day and decided to give it a shot - some of the best Mediterranean and the owners are so sweet. The lamb chops were way too good and it came with so much. All everyone could talk about was the food. Great depth of flavors. Loved the beef lulah with the tzatziki, the hummus actually tasted like garbanzos vs tons of spice. And the chicken melted in your mouth. And the rice was perfection. Everyone went back for more food it was so good. This place was so accommodating as I changed my pick-up time twice due to weather changes. And I showed up a little early for my pick up and all of the food was fresh, hot or cold depending on the dish, and ready to go. I came home and kept the food covered until guests arrived. Each dish was the perfect temperature. The next day as we were eating leftovers for lunch, I was just about to call them to tell them how incredible the food was and my phone rang. It was them following up to see how everything went. Also, wishing my mom a very special birthday. Having said all of that, my only regret was not taking pictures. The trays were so beautifully prepared people dove in before I could grab my phone to snap pics. The one pic I snapped was our leftover lunch the next day. On this night I had their chicken thigh kebab with rice and my friend had the lamb chops with rice. Both of our grilled meat entrees came with generous portions of delicious basmati rice accompanied by a large fire-roasted chili pepper and grilled tomato. The lamb chops and the chicken were marinated and flame-grilled to produce a delicious char. Also included with each entree is another choice of side: my dining mate had the pickled veggies and I had the hummus with pita. Both were portioned just enough to share and were nicely flavorful. The mushroom salad appetizer was the highlight of the evening. It was delicately pickled and had a nice amount of fresh dill that really elevated this simple yet enormously yummy dish...this is a must have. The service was super friendly and attentive as you would hope for from a family-owned business. When we inquired about a particular ingredient which we were not familiar with, the owners came out to explain what it was and its various uses. When we exclaimed how much we liked it we were given a small plastic bag of the spice to take home with the recommendation to add it to hot tea. No extra charge - very nice and so very kind of them! I almost ate it all waiting for the plate. The plate came and wow! The chicken was juicy but fully cooked. It tasted as much like chicken as its yellow marinade. The little pieces that hung off and got charred were my favorite. The basmati was so fluffy I could not keep it on the fork. It was simultaneously buttery and savory, but still light and chewy. The Aremenian salad tasted like it was chopped and tossed just before it came out. Maybe it was! Tomatoes, herbs, cucumbers sliced into half moons, red onion all tossed in salt, olive oil and some acid maybe lemon. So fresh! The grilled tomato and chili pepper were nice touches. We ate out at a table on the sidewalk. The place is more expensive than many of the other restaurants in the area. Two lunches cost $65. While the young lady serving us was nice enough, she wasn't very attentive. We were the only customers. She only checked on our meal status/needs one time. I had to ask for a refill of my ice tea. I was charged for the refill (something I am not used to). The food was good, The meat beef kebab and luleh kebab was juicy but could have been spiced more.
