I didn't know the best place to park, since this was my first visit since they moved to this campus. Disclaimer: my sister-in-law used to teach history at this school, while my brother coached volleyball and may have taught a Bible class. But they haven't been with this school since before I moved to Athens in 2014. But back when they used to work for this school, I got to meet some of the faculty and staff members, so I know some of them. This school used to "float around" and make their home in various church buildings before they moved to this location (a piece of ranch land). So they have really grown up since I have seen them! Currently, they have 60-70ish students from 7th-12th grades. Their "band" is a worship-leading band for their chapel services, and I'd love to sit in on a chapel service sometime! I like that it seems they welcome students of various denominations (the Christian School I attended was run by predominantly members of the Church Of Christ, which meant that our chapel services were accapella, but they welcomed students of other denominations). They also wear some sharp uniforms, the more formal version of which reminds me of what they wore in the "Harry Potter" movies, but most days of the week they wear more casual uniforms, as some current students (from the House of Gryffendor", Lol!) told me. I was also excited to learn that they had a cooking class, that was all year long (not just 1 semester), where they also learned how to grill food on backyard grills. Their library also has a small "coffee shop" with it, where the students can brew their own coffee while they study (that was the impression I got). There is also a small swimming pool right behind the Administration Building, which would be good for back-to-school or end-of-year picnic parties, or maybe even use it for a shallow-water aerobics class. During the summer, they also have a "Popsicle Summer Camp", full of different elective camp sessions for kids ages 5-13. If I had kids in those ages, I would definitely encourage them to go to a camp session or two. And if I had kids between 7th-12th grades, I would definitely encourage them to come to this school!

I would strongly suggest skipping this business. The owner and his son(Alex and Calvin Wilcher)…read morewere extremely rude. We had some nitrox tanks that we just wanted air in as they don't provide nitrox. The son said he couldn't put normal air in them without them being oxygen scrubbed. We tried to explain that it was safe and he may be misunderstanding the process but if that was shop standard then that's fine, we just wanted to understand what the reasoning was and either learn something we didn't know or teach something he didn't. He said he would have to go ask the owner(his dad) and that he was almost an instructor and that he was learning about the dangers of filling nitrox tanks with air. He got his dad and who said if he filled our tanks with air that it would ruin our tanks and that they would need to be oxygen scrubbed. I explained to him that I've had my tanks filled at many shops and that's the first time someone tried saying they couldn't do it. He said it was both illegal and highly dangerous. He aggressively explained that he had been doing this for 30 something years and that he wasn't going to do it. I said that's fine, it's your shop so we don't mind abiding his rule but that I was trying to understand and that I believe he was mistaken on the process. I explained I'm both an instructor and certified to do air fills and well as nitrox fills. He said he wrote the manual and that he could get it and show me where it says that. I at first said no that's fine but then said "actually, and I'm not trying to argue, but I would like to see where you're getting that from because it's not the standard" he said "you can google it. You've already pissed me off and I'm not wasting my time on you". He was pissed off because we were trying to explain how putting air into a nitrox cylinder would not just cause it to explode and that it needed to be scrubbed before turning it back into air tank without an enriched air marking. Or if you were going to use an unusual nitrox mix such as something higher than 40%. We were extremely dissatisfied with the owner and his son. I believe it was his wife that was trying to calm him down for raising his voice at me but he wouldn't have it. I told them it's ok and I wasn't trying to argue just trying to understand and that I was no longer interested in diving there. His reply, "good. You've pissed me off and I don't want you diving here anyway" Honestly some of the very worst customer service I have ever recieved anywhere. If any of my employees had ever acted that way I would have fired them. If you want to go somewhere with amazing customer service, very friendly and doesn't get angry with asking how their shop works and their standards, go to The scuba Ranch about an hour away.

This is a great place! My family has been attending for several years and what a difference it has…read moremade! I love watching my kids outperform "normal" kids on the playground or in their sports. My kids constantly get compliments on their athletic ability. That edge is there because of gymnastics. They get full credit for our success. The coaches are awesome and knowledgeable. The environment is safe and clean. The rates are reasonable and completely worth it. In the beginning, this interaction really helped their socialization and listening skills. They also serve all ages, including us adults! I make a 45 min drive because I like this gym so much.

I came out here to watch a (TVCC--Trinity Valley Community College) Lady Cardinals softball game…read morethat actually got rescheduled. But the field looked nice & so did the stands (some covered & shaded, some open--bring a hat or umbrella for those hotter or rainier days!). There are restrooms with multiple stalls nearby, which are OK for public restrooms at a softball/baseball complex. The concession stand also accepts credit/debit cards, which is good for the 21st Century, since less & less people carry cash these days. I wouldn't mind going to a future game here.

There are several cabins…read moreand houses ready to serve people for camping or lodging or housing! ;) They have outdoor play ground under the big tent and indoor gym where you can play volley ball and basketball! They have a nice lake where you can walk around! Love being in nature like this! If you like to get out of your city life and feel nature, this is the place for you! Come for those who are able!
