Our only complaints, some staff are unable to answer our questions & point us to the website, which wasn't able to answer our question to start with... for example, one of the main reasons we joined, after visiting in person, was the summer camp. We went home to join & register online, as was suggested by staff (versus registering in person at the facility), to find out the summer camps were already full. You can't tell that the camps are full online, until you've already purchased a membership. Staff should have had knowledge of camps being at full capacity & been able to tell us that information during our tour of the facility. A plus for us, the family swim hours, swim lessons, & family changing areas. We also love the indoor walking track.

I overall recommend this place especially for the group fit. While the selection isn't very diverse, consistently I can expect yoga, Pilates, and CrossFit. From time to time there's other classes, but having group fit is something I really enjoy. The kids programs are overall great. The staff that oversee it are friendly and I can tell they actually enjoy kids. I don't see staff on their phones, and they typically know my kids' names before I sign them in. They're going through more changes with their kids stuff, but overall after myself and other parents voiced our concerns they seemed to take our opinion into consideration after much debate. Overall, it's a good facility and I hope they continue to find ways to be inclusive of all their members, and not just the gym bros.

Cleans and fun. We took our fifth graders recently and had a blast. I recommend going here to…read moreschool or church camp. And the food was outstanding. Just wish they didn't serve so much so food because it all gets wasted.

Honest review of Camp Allaso: Cabins were fine, comfortable…read moreenough. Bathrooms, need attention, we had a huge glob of hair from the previous campers on our shower wall, that was enough to gross anyone out. The bathroom also did not smell clean, they need to be disinfected. Food: Disgusting, the eggs appeared to either be made from a box or previously made and just reheated. All of the other food is meant for 5 year old children (chicken nuggets and pizza), not kids getting ready to go into Junior High School and parents that have been physically working all day. We also had several children with special cultural diets, however the camp completely ignored it. One child had to eat a hamburger bun with nothing in it. Again this child's parent paid over $300 for 2 nights, no excuse. For Over $300 for 2 nights, the food needs to be better. This is unacceptable. Activities for the children: Kevin, Mike and Rachel were the absolute best, they clearly love children and enjoy their jobs. Several of the other instructors were burnt out and had very little patience (and clearly didn't enjoy children). Pat, the person that speaks on stage, needs a vacation. She is a GRUMP off of the stage. She is forgetting the people visiting are PAYING guests, which is how this place stays open. Most of the staff here expects for the Chaperones to do the heavy lifting. Truly, they provide the infrastructure, but the chaperones do the work. They will ask you to put their supplies away etc..

I received a discounted entry to the Ziplining Course here through a separate organization so it…read morewas definitely more than worth it. I would say, however, that this place is worth the price in any case as a at least one time experience because it's a great mix of challenges and a lot more fun than expected. The guides were helpful, and everything felt extremely safe. I've done high speed (like 40+ mph) ziplines in Europe, and honestly this was just as if not more fun. Part of that is because the speed is more tame you can actually be more present to witness the nature!! I enjoyed the obstacles and general navigating around a lot more than expected as well. There are a few variations to make these courses more or less challenges depending on your physical fitness level. I really underestimated how much I would love going here. Super fun date idea, family experience or cool thing to do with a friend. I have great memories from this whole experience and Oak Point is one of my most favorites areas in general of all of DFW!

We love this adventure obstacle course and have been many times…read more Here is what you should know if you are considering going: It is rather rigorous. I am an athlete and offer you should not go if you are not physically capable. Injured? Don't go. Also, if you are a group or have children, let others pass you as you will slow them down. Staff are not on the course. Do not expect them to come help you. Be self sufficient. Set reasonable expectations for yourself. And don't worry about what other people think. Hydrate. This is physical exercise. And have fun! This is fun! Be free with yourself and your companions. Laugh! Connect with nature. Enjoy challenging yourself. Try something new. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Staff are inconsistent and so is the upkeep. For example on today's visit one of the ropes was broken but I was allowed to use the obstacle anyway. That seemed very unsafe to me. The locks are malfunctioning etc. But overall we enjoy coming out and will continue to do so.

This is a really nice facility. I came here for a free Tai Chi class that was offered as part of…read morethe Healthier Texas Challenge. The class was amazing! The instructor was a great communicator and demonstrated the steps in the simplest form making it easy for a beginner like me to follow along. I was actually sore the next day! The facility is quite large and offers a variety of services. We were in a large room with tall floor to ceiling windows that faces the park. It was nice to be able to see outside and enjoy the greenery. However, this also meant that the instructor was backlit. She did not turn on the lights in the room. This was okay for me, but it probably would have been better if she has turned on the lights so that we could see her better. In the hallway, there were a lot of paintings on display and they were actually for sale. They highlighted local artists and several of their works. The paintings were priced around $250. It is very reasonable considering the cost of canvas, paint, frame, and the creativity and labor that goes into the work. The front desk staff were helpful. I stopped by there first, and one woman staff member was kind enough to walk me to the room where my class took place. The gym has several of these large rental room spaces, but it also has a gym with treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, and machines The City of Richardson allows access to this facility and Heights located in opposite sides of Hey 75 for an annual fee of $70 to residents, even less if you are a senior. You can also get a membership if you aren't a resident of the city. It costs a few dollars more. It's a great deal since most commercial gyms cost $100 a month compared to the price here for an entire year! The hours change, so it is best to check the web or call the main number. It's usually open until 10pm on weeknights, excluding Fridays, but closes earlier on the weekends.

These blue bags are how the city picks up recycling at our curb once a week. I had such a letter and needed to get some blue bags. They are fairly inexpensive to buy if you don't happen to have a letter. The woman at the counter was so pleasant and cheerful! Richardson is a great city to live in. We are lucky to have such great city services: trash pickup twice per week and recycling pickup once per week. Also a Babic- Brush and Bulky Item Collection can be scheduled for larger bulky trash items (furniture, old appliances, etc) weighing over 50 pounds, brush and tree trimmings, etc. The pickup day is the same as your recycling day. This varies depending on where you live within the city. You can go to the city website www.cor.net for more information or to schedule your bulky pickup. There is also a phone app "My Richardson" where you can also schedule through. So convenient and easy!
