There packers came to my house weeks later to finish and was there for 1.5 hours and charged me $850.00. After the move the price was $800 more than what was quoted to me because they said we were 3000# over the estimated weight price. I can see being off by 1000# but 3000#? When I contacted the "franchise manager" Chris of the Garner, NC office, he told me he would look into it. Waiting for his reply verbally never came. A week later I received an email from him basically saying " tough shit" and he charged my credit card. The balance of the move with the additional $800. What better way to get your business. They give you the cheapest quote and charge you a deposit then after the move is done they tell you your weight is more than they said it was. That goes for the packing portion also. If they would have packed my entire 2300 sq ft house how do they come up with $1500-2000 quote? It would have taken them at least 4 more hours to pack the whole house and would have been much more than quoted. These guys under quote there prices to get your business. When they do the job the price is considerably higher. Go with someone else. What is the purpose of a virtual walk thru when it means nothing to the final bill? But once you've signed the agreement and he has your deposit, you won't be able to reach him for anything. None of my calls, texts or emails have been answered back after paying that first deposit. We hired them to move us from a 2 story 3 bedroom townhome in Florida to a 3 bedroom house in Georgia. Fast forward to moving day, the movers are on time and the lead guy Ricardo is very nice and professional. My partner and I spoke with him about what needed to go and he said ok we'll handle it all don't worry. We go upstairs, Ricardo steps out to do paperwork at the truck and the other worker start wrapping furniture. We can hear wrapping going on but then 30 minutes in, it gets really quiet. So being suspicious I look at our home camera that we have set up to see what's going on downstairs. The worker is seen looking through my partner's wallet, my wallet and then my ring box that holds my wedding ring that were on the counter (stupid of us I know) which he had no reason to be near the counter since we said everything that had to go was along the wall. Seeing this my partner goes down to get all our stuff, makes sure nothing is missing and tells Ricardo. Ricardo then starts asking the other guy questions about what happened and he says he was just moving the screw driver from the box to the counter. We both then go with Ricardo outside and let him know more details and show him the videos which he agreed that you can see our wallets and ring box in his hands. Ricardo asks if anything is missing which we said no (but later I was looking through my cash and I only had 4 one dollar bills and I had at least 15 dollars) then asks me to send the videos to him and he sends them to his boss but they both agree to keep having the guy work because then Ricardo would have had to do everything himself. Then we find out that Ricardo is not driving with the other guy to Georgia, but the guy is driving himself with our stuff and the boss will meet him at our new place. Ricardo promised it would all be safe and packed in a way that no one would be able to get into it. Reluctantly we said ok because we had a tight schedule and needed to get moving. At the end Ricardo went over the paperwork with us, took our 2nd payment and we made sure again that our stuff would be safe and someone would be meeting the guy in Georgia, he said yes. In between all of this, I am sending text messages to the only contact I had at JG, Joseph. I texted him about the situation and what happened, even sent him screenshots of the video, no answer from him.

It was a local move only 5 miles from one house to another, the movers that came were slow, inexperienced, arrived many hours late, and were rough with nice pieces of furniture. I used Branch Out Moving a year and a half ago and I'm still finding my items scratched etc. I…read moreactually just took my $1500 bed apart that they put together for me and 4 screws were stripped. I had to run to Lowe's and buy a tool to get them out plus all new screws. They lost a shelf in our big tv unit, I'm not sure how, but it looks horrible now having 3 shelves and missing 1. But that isn't even half of what happened on my moving day. They showed up with an extra guy and a massive truck, GREAT! Well I go upstairs in my sons room only to see 1 mover sitting down on my boxes, he had opened my sons bedroom window and was vaping inside my home, in my child's room! Yes, I ran downstairs and told his boss and he said he would tell him to quit. An hour later I'm walking past my sons bathroom and this same mover is sitting on my sons toilet, pants down, door wide open (to get some light in because Duke shut the power off about 30 minutes prior) and he was having exploding diarrhea... yep, you could hear it and smell it. I ran down to tell his boss know what was going on. When the guy finally came downstairs he said he was sick so he went outside to rest. He came back in 30 minutes later and said he was ok. Mind you I never once saw him wash his hands. I asked him to please go clean the toilet and well, let's just say it turns out he didn't. Anyhow everything is now loaded and they're leaving, they didn't even tell me. I rush throughout the house to make sure they got everything and all was good, I was literally sprinting. They leave and I head to my new home to meet them. Well they didn't show up. I called them and the guy that had the exploding diarrhea needed to go to the ER, oh goodness! At this point I did call their office and let the office manager or maybe she was the big boss know what all had transpired and that they were at the Hospital... she had no idea. I did ask for a discount on my move! So they show up about 1.5 hours later without the sick guy and got the job done. However the boss that was with the moving crew proceeded to make me feel bad that I called their boss to let them know about everything, is this a joke?!? He even said to me yeah I heard you even asked for a discount. You better believe I did!!!They did take $200 off my final bill. So a couple of days later I get a call from my landlord at my last home I had just moved out of that the second bath (my sons) toilet was covered in poop. She was livid because her new tenant was moving in. I had to scramble to find cleaners day of, thank God I did. Anyhow that cost me $150 because I only had them clean the bathroom pretty much so I did let Branch Out know and the did reimburse me for the cleaners. Holy cow what an absolute NIGHTMARE! I get that no one can help that they are sick, but vaping in a home you're working in, let alone in a 9 year olds room! Then going poop with the door wide open I just cannot. The whole thought of it all gives me so much anxiety to this day!! I honestly never want to hire movers again!!!!!

Furniture looked great after the move and movers were even early to unload the next day. The movers went above and beyond by tightening some legs on a table that were loose before loading it.
