GM: we appreciate he was willing to negotiate rather than play hardball and made OTD transaction a dream. We knew exactly what we were purchasing when we walked in, and thankfully, they met our expectations and more. It wasn't nearly as grueling in the sales department as we were anticipating. 4. We appreciated that they were pretty true to the price that was advertised, and did not do a lot of bait-n-switch tactics. Downs: 1. Saul: telling us to "wait 10 mins", and we waited 45 mins for the "finance guy" to arrive. "have a seat, it'll be 10 minutes, would you like some water?" 2. Finance dude with a tude: after we obtained our cashiers check, waited 45 minutes, the Mr Cocky walks in acting as if he is doing us a favor. Come to find out he didn't think we were "his customer" to deal with, even though we were directed to him. We the customers have no control over this. We were mad we were waiting, and he was mad he had to "come back" to deal with us (finalizing the contract). WTH? That guy is in the wrong business. 3. We were less than happy having to wait EVERYWHERE we turned it was.... "have a seat, it'll be 5 minutes, would you like some water?"....IT IS NEVER 5 MINUTES. if they told us straight up how much time it was really going to take, we would've appreciated it. Just be honest, we're adults, we can handle it. I know you're afraid we're gonna walk away if you told us the truth, but you have a bigger chance of us walking away by lying to us. I live in Lynwood, and after a series of text confirmations with the sales rep and manager, I was told that we could do a lease swap on our current VW, and that I would not be responsible for the over-mileage as part of the deal. That was the only reason I was willing to stay with VW. We were very clear on what we expected, and their manager confirmed: "If we do a swap, you won't have to worry about your over-mileage." We agreed on price and terms, and they even ran our credit ahead of time to "make things faster" -- so we thought everything was ready. We drove over 90 minutes to Corona with our family thinking we were finalizing a done deal. But once we sat down to sign papers, they handed us a form stating VW is not responsible for wear and tear or over-mileage. Total contradiction of what was promised. When we questioned it, the salesperson completely backtracked and said, "Oh, that's not included at this price." At that point we stopped everything. They ran our credit for nothing -- we now have a hard inquiry on our record -- and they wasted hours of our time with a bait-and-switch tactic. I'm disappointed with this dealership specially with their website and advertisements. They're not real and up front about their online costs and have hidden pieces of information on there just to lure you in and screw you over. I've owned Volkswagens for years now and I'm super dissatisfied with how they handled this situation. For context, their website listed a 33k car with all these crazy discounts. So we called in about that car specifically and asked them what interest rates they were offering, the guy on the phone whose name was Muhammad , told us that they're currently offering a 2.9% interest rate if we wanted to purchase that vehicle new. Perfect what a great deal right? Of course not! We go in the next morning and Julia takes down all of my info to the back manager. She comes back and tells us that we can not get both of the discounts on top of a 2.9% interest rate. She begins to explain it's one or the other so technically our cost before taxes was going to exceed 38k. car. It felt it was a bait and switch becuase they "baited" us with the lower out the door number to come to the dealership then switched it up once we got there and revealed all the hidden agendas they have. Overall the communication was poor, they didn't seem to be willing to work with us or help us figure out another option. And to be honest we didn't want to give them our business anymore anyways. I went with a Hyundai Palisade and compared to the Atlas it's top notch. It has air vents on the ceilings in which the atlas does not. Major plus for people with kids. Don't recommend doing business here unless you want to be screwed over. read more
