So thankful we found this place ! We were on day 10 Of pizza and pasta and having a hard time finding any place that serves eggs for breakfast. I needed some serious veggies and a proper American style breakfast. This place is awesome. Super fresh organic veggies, cold pressed juices, smoothies, protein bowls, and... toast with tomato, goat cheese and hard boiled egg (delicious!!). I had the toast and a "cleanse" juice. Super yummy. The husband had a detox juice and a "protein smoothie bowl". The smoothie bowl is literally a smoothie in a bowl with granola and chia seed on top. Tasted AMAZING, but a bit soupy if you're looking for something more like the consistency of an açaí bowl - this isn't it. At least that specific bowl wasn't. Rather just opt for a smoothie! Either way it was all delicious !!!

Charming, delightful, and thoughtfully crafted smoothies and coffee. The earthy, botanical decor is a respite from the hoards of people, cigarettes, and bustling city life. In addition to coffee and smoothies, Carduccio offers wine, sandwiches, salads, and pastries. They also offer vegetarian, vegan, and organic (bio) options!

Another disappointing & overpriced organic spot. €8 for a protein smoothie bowl, that had barely any almonds. The interior of the place is cute. Can pay w card for €10+. Won't return. Wasn't worth my money. Sad because I pass by every day and wanted to try it. Check out the menu outside. Small interior, few seats.

    Panzanella salad! Delicious!

I came here thrice already, and will probably visit 2 more times before I leave. The had the most wonderful almond milk latte and vegan croissant...twice in one day HA! I also bought their beautiful biodynamic white balsamic vinegar, that I first had at the vegetarian restaurant nearby 5e Cinque. It's heaven on earth. The women who work here are lovely and even ordered a bottle of olive oil they were out of...just for me. It's so refreshing to find a cafe that is 100% organic in Italy. It has balanced my trip incredibly well with glutton and heathy eats. The wifi is amazing too! Hurry here before it gets discovered and overrun with hungry, healthy locals :)

a plantopia at a quiet alley, love the homemade sauces, want to try the burger next time

It was easy to search for nearby restaurants and be guided to our destination! We had to wait quite a bit before we had the server bring water to the table.... I never understand why bussing a table, when there is no one waiting for a table would take priority over the customers seated and waiting... and waiting.... However, the food was AMAZING. I had the pear, walnut and gorgonzola salad. (see photo) It was really fresh and exactly what I wanted! Our server was pleasant, and the prices were good. So travelers, bookmark this spot!

The decor is pretty simple, but not too boring. I mean, it's not amazing, but it has sort of a chill vibe, with white brick walls, dim lighting, and wine bottle-lined shelves on some of the walls. 3/5 SELECTION: On their website, their menu is described with, "Our menu is characterized by using genuine raw materials, preferably organic and seasonal products, it changes every month. You can taste both traditional Tuscan dishes that our personal reinterpretations." What I like most about their menu is that they use organic and seasonal products, and they have a good handful of clearly-labeled vegan options, but I will say that I wish there was a bit more variety in the vegan options, as most of them are soups and vegetables. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: I got the "Cous Cous o Riso al naturale con verdure a scelta dalla vetrina," which basically translates to "cous cous or rice with seasonal vegetables." I got it with rice. It was pretty good overall, and the one negative I have is that it was too oily -- like you can tell from my picture. But other than that, the actually quality of it all was good, and all the different vegetables tasted fresh, and they were thoroughly cooked. The rice wasn't under or overcooked either. Plus, it was a pretty good price (€8), as was most of the rest of the menu (reasonably-priced), especially for a restaurant that looks nicer than what you typically come across there, and that has higher standards (organic produce, etc.). 3/5 SERVICE: The service was pretty good. Our waitress seemed nice and friendly, and our food didn't take too long or anything to come out. The only complaint I have is that their website says they open for dinner at 6pm, but we went there at 6pm, and they said they start serving dinner at 7pm, which was annoying. But, we somehow managed to find some places nearby to look around at and whatnot while waiting. 3/5

The other person with me had the polenta with shiitake, pomodoro and greens. This restaurant is unassuming but on a higher level than your average trattoria. Best meal of our trip so far. Everyone was so nice and it was the first restaurant we've been to in Florence that had a woman chef. If you want a boring big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs or pizza go somewhere else and don't take up table space here!

It's close enough to the lively, bustling part of Firenze to feel connected, yet just far enough to escape the city's never-ending wave of tourists. The service was incredible, and the owner (I'm pretty sure it was the owner?) brought so much energy that he single-handedly turned the whole place into an eclectic little spot during the "rush hour" of the evening. The menu was solid, if a bit "generic" at times. While everything we ordered was delicious, nothing at Trattoria Giovanni felt like a dish you couldn't find elsewhere... and honestly, that's perfectly fine! It was traditional, comforting, and exactly what we were craving. The plate of cured meats and cheese was phenomenal, a great start to the meal. The pastas were really good as well, though one of the meat dishes had a slightly off texture, with the chunks of meat a bit overcooked. All in all, we loved our meal and would definitely recommend this spot if you're in Florence.
