Electronic Recycling with a Mission…read more I noticed Green Vision Inc. while visiting ReStore as they share building space. The signage said that they offered electronic recycling. I looked Green Vision up online and was happy to find that they are a full service electronics dismantler. In addition, their mission is to provide individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunities to work and learn in real life job situations. Sounds great on paper, time to check it out in person since I had a few electronics items that could be recycled. I arrived today at around 3:30pm and walked into Suite 300 and made my way to the back office just to the right of the shop entrance. I asked if I was in the right place for electronics recycling and was greeted with smiles and advised by Tim that I was. I explained that I had a few computer monitors, a CD player, some remotes, a humidifier, and a small child toy to recycle. I was told no problem and that a cart would be sent out to collect the electronics. Everything was verified recyclable and free to donate. The cart was loaded up with all the recyclables and we were all set. Easy mode! While getting my son in the car, I realized that we forgot to check if we left any rechargeable batteries in his recycled toy. I went back in, found the toy in the cart and asked if it would be okay to check if any batteries were left inside of it. Tim told us no problem and got a screwdriver and asked if my son would like to open it up after putting the screwdriver in place. This got a huge smile from my son and he happily opened up the battery door. Batteries found and we were happily on our way. Tim and his team were great to work with and I will think of Green Vision Inc. first when I am in need of Electronic Recycling in the Morris County area.

Each year I had several companies come in to quote on resealing. No one thought it could be done without a chemical stripper which would kill the plantings underneath. Several thought I needed to pull off all the decking planks and replace them. All of these quotes were well into the thousands of dollars. Then I noticed how beautiful my friend's deck was when I visited her in the Mendham area and got Mr. Burrini's name. He was incredibly gracious about coming up to Bergen county and assured me that this was a "standard issue" job for them. He sounded so confident and his price was so reasonable, I thought "what have I got to loose?" When I came home last Friday and saw the job they did, I nearly cried. My deck looks like I had dreamed it would when I splurged for mahogany in the first place. Everything had been neatly removed from the deck and all the plantings underneath were unscathed by the powerwashing. I think there are a lot of jokers with a power washer and cans of sealer in this business, these guys are the real deal. Each time I look at my deck I feel like throwing my arms around those guys for solving a eyesore that made me miserable for years.
