Even though I arrived a little late, everyone greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel completely welcome. The office is beautiful, modern, and equipped with impressive technology. The technician who took my X-rays was outstanding--thorough, gentle, and very professional. Dr. Alessandro Retis took the time to carefully examine my mouth, explain my options, and answer every question I had. I especially appreciated that he wanted to contact the dentist who originally placed my implants because he recognized they were high-quality implants that could potentially be used rather than unnecessarily replaced. That thoughtful and conservative approach gave me a great deal of confidence. The team also showed me the materials they use and explained their commitment to giving patients the best possible smile. One thing that really touched me was when they shared how rewarding it is to see the joy on their patients' faces after treatment--sometimes even bringing tears of happiness to both the patients and the staff. That spoke volumes about how much they truly care. James was wonderful in explaining the financial options and financing available. Everything was presented clearly, with absolutely no pressure. Freddy was equally exceptional. He carefully walked me through the treatment plan, explained the laboratory process in detail, answered every one of my questions with patience, and made sure I understood everything. Front desk confirmed and said cleaning is $100. At the end of the cleaning, Dr Connor came in and looked in my mouth for 2 minutes and left. I thought this was part of the cleaning. I paid $49 for his 2 minute evaluation. I spoke with the front desk manager and she would not to wave his exam fee. I feel this is a money grab and was not given accurate information. To be clear, I am happy with the dental cleaning just not the unexpected exam fee. If you want only a cleaning, I suggest telling Dental Assistant up front and have them relay this info to Dr Conner.

No seriously though, the fit and color match are perfect, and the timing it took to come in was so quick! I will be coming back here for any further treatment and cleanings. The staff was also very accommodating with my availability and would give me a courtesy call if there was a cancellation on a preferred day. I really appreciate that! Sometimes it's hard to juggle life and little blessings like that are a breath of fresh air. I recently scheduled an appointment for my husband as well. Jessica made everything easy for me with her quick responses and kept me on track. The hygienist did a great job hands down 5stars same with Leslie and her team mate made sure I was well every chance they had. They work great with the doctor! Everyone and even the manager had been very polite, its like as if they are 100% real people. Either they get paid very well or they love what they do! (Hint for Dr Amir) They answered every question and made my visit welcomed and at home. I couldn't answer with my mouth full of spit, pillow block, and few other things lol... But the assistants and Dr. Amir were very attentive and cared about my well being during dental procedures. Cons: Remember I said I felt at home? Yes, I went in on a very pact date, Christmas Eve. You expect them to tell you everything they are going to do to you prior to consenting to any type or surgery right? But that was one thing that was never mentioned. The lady that comes in to charge you and claims to be the office manager is the the rudest person in that place. When she explains the charges she tries to tell you everything quick like she's obviously trying to make you feel rushed before so you can sign quickly. When asked questions she barely answers and now I see why. When I called back to ask why I was being charged for a bone graft the lady named Claudia who I'm sure was the same lady I dealt with due to her tone and attitude in her voice began acting very hostile, extremely rude and basically couldn't give a straight answer. Her reasoning was, we charged you that because you got it done. Now I looked at videos of what a bone replacement graft is and my procedure looked nothing like that and again was never mentioned. Anyway, learning experience. Positive things: the staff ( besides that awful woman) were very nice and welcoming. I dealt with the dentist that extracted my tooth and a different one when I went back for the follow up and both very nice and professional, answered all my questions. Dr Cobos really took the time to explain where my gums were wearing down, and which areas were in danger of further tooth decay. Upon his recommendation, I decided to get 2 crowns done for my back molars. But after the crowns were placed, I couldn't wear my Invisaligns anymore that I have already worn for several years. I had to get new retainers molded. But I was grateful for this so that I could wear them on top of my new crowns and keep my teeth from shifting back to their original spots. As for the overall service at Vista Hills Family Dental, I took off one star because I felt that the reminders were getting kind of excessive. I would receive text messages to remind me of my upcoming dental appointments. But these weren't just text message reminders. If I didn't reply back "yes" or "no," then one of the front staff members would call me to ask if I was still coming for my appointment. I understand that dental offices run on a very tight schedule, and late arrivals or no-shows are never acceptable. But I think just a simple one-time text reminder is sufficient instead of requiring clients to reply back every single time. An orthodontic office I went to several years ago for my Invisaligns just sent one-time simple text reminders, with no expectations for clients to text back. I can understand if certain clients have a history of constantly running late, or who have a pattern of not showing up. For those clients, I can see why it might be necessary to require them to respond. But for reliable clients like myself who have kept every appointment, the excessive reminders are not necessary. On my first visit, after I was assessed for my dental needs, I also had to remind the staff member who brought me into the exam room that I was due for my bi-annual dental cleaning, especially when that was the initial reason why I booked my first appointment there in the first place. After I had my dental consultation with my dentist, he almost wrapped up my visit without arranging for my dental cleaning. It was only when I asked that he checked with the dental hygienists to see who he could squeeze me in with. Miguel, the hygienist, who worked on me did a great job, made me feel at ease, and cleaned my teeth. I would still recommend this dental office to my friends and family :) . On your way into the lobby, the front desk welcomes you to help yourself to complimentary coffee, water, and sometimes even snacks (like homemade cookies made by a staff member). But you can also enjoy these on your way out as well. But I just think that the reminders can be less excessive. Some clients like myself might not always be able to text right back if we're occupied with work or other tasks.

I had to leave that time as well, I got a call from the office a little before 10 asking where I was, I explained, and was told that no one had a key. I went this morning, figuring things may be better. I called and scheduled a cleaning, I get there and it turns into an exam, I'm good with that, I needed it, but then it turned into a incoming sales pitch about implants, which in itself wouldn't have been an issue, but It was made uncomfortably clear it became the focus.
