I'll start off with the positive. I was treated quickly, and I received the medications I needed. I was seen 1/27 around 6 pm. My caregivers were Luke NP and Stacy (unknown title). I went in to be treated for an asthma attack (I needed a nebulizer treatment). When I went up to the desk, the registration woman took my info and checked me in. I was audibly wheezing, short of breath, and rapidly breathing. Stacy and Luke were both at the desk. They were discussing celebrities, the superbowl, and Luke was scrolling through Facebook on a work computer. Did not address me once at the desk. Being a past emergency healthcare worker, I was appalled. Thank God I know my body and what kind of shape I was in. Once checked in, Stacy took me back to a room. She did not take the time to get accurate blood pressure. In fact, she made it up. I could feel my pulse when she stopped pumping up the cuff and attempted to listen. She gave a bogus number that was within a normal range, even though I was tachycardic. She had trouble getting the pulse ox to read and quickly took it off the moment there was a number present (which is also incorrect). Stacy went to get Luke and a treatment. Luke came in, REAKING of cigarettes. It was so strong it made my breathing worse, and it lingered after he left the room. Luke only listened to the top quadrants of my lungs before the first treatment and asked if I needed to go to the ER. I told him no, and all I needed was a treatment or two, maybe a steroid I would be fine (urgent care is equipped to handle asthma attacks). Neither one of them stayed in the room while I was given my first treatment (there was only one other patient in the building). After the first treatment, Luke rechecked my lungs sounds but only in the top quadrants. I requested one more treatment because my chest was still pretty tight. Luke never rechecked for lung sounds after my last treatment. I was basically kicked out of urgent care. Luke made an unprofessional comment about being vertical and basically not dead. I would NEVER recommend this urgent care based on this experience alone, nor will I seek help at this facility again. I am thankful I was able to get the medications I needed to get my asthma under control. This situation could have been handled a thousand times better than it did. Both Stacy and Luke need to be retrained in how to handle medical urgency, how to take vitals, and what appropriate conversations are in front of patients. As for the cigarettes, slap a nicotine patch on while you work if you need it that bad. Luke roughly had 2 hours left of work. He could have waited to hit a cancer stick when he was off the clock. Instead of subjecting others and an asthma patient with secondhand smoke. Do better. read more

I'll give it a star, because we were treated quickly and my son got the medicine he needed. When we walked in, we were greeted kindly by a gentleman (later realized it was the DR) on the phone with a patient. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before he hollered for a Rachael from the back a second time. Suddenly, 3 girls magically appeared from the back to check us in. We were the only patient there, so once the paperwork was filled out we were immediately taken back. We asked to use the restroom before being seen and upon entering, there was an unlabeled, bloody unrine sample on the counter. I reported it, and the MA seemed like it was normal and was supposed to be there. She performed the strep test on my son, and the DR came in shortly after. He had the wrong name (my other sons name). Assuming he got them mixed up from the insurance information? After being corrected he still took my son's name down wrong. 3 weeks later, and my account was charged $117. Idk if this was their minimum, but we were charged for a 45min new patient visit, and we were there maybe 25 minutes total. We won't be back. The bloody urine with no proper labels was enough for me, let alone the misidentification of his only patient. read more

I was from out of town for Thanksgiving and I had a UTI. After confirming with the doctor, I was given a prescription. Everyone in the office was very nice and competent. I even got a text asking how I was the next day. I was really impressed with this business. read more

Unfair billing practices. I visited in December 2023 because I was ill. I was asked for my insurance card and credit card, which I gave them. I paid $60 upfront. I was given a flu and COVID test and a prescription. In January of 2024, they billed my credit card $247 with no detailed explanation or invoice. I called and asked about the charges, and was told I should have only been billed $155. $100 for the visit and $30 and $25 for the tests. I was given the number for billing. It took several weeks for billing to return my calls. Billing told me my insurance was out-of-network, and the $155 was the self-pay rate which I would have needed to pay in full the day of service. Had I been told this, I would have paid the $155 in full that day. I'm not checking to see who is in/out of network when I am sick. So I paid $307 for two tests and a visit. Had I not given them an insurance card, I would have paid $155. read more

This is a new urgent care so if you've been to the old one put that terrible experience out of your mind! My daughter hurt her finger playing basketball. By the next morning,a Sunday, it was swollen and she was in pain. I arrived at 8:50, filled out two small forms and she was taken right back. The nurse and CNP were both very caring and professional. They were able to X-ray her and called me back that afternoon to let me know that it was indeed broken. They made a copy of the X-rays for me to take to the orthopedic doc and made a referral for me. I was told to call or stop in with any further questions. I noticed that they had a sign saying they do primary care also. I did not note any hippa violations as someone stated previously. read more

I was charged for a COVID test $125 incorrectly at the time of my visit. I didn't want the rapid test and didn't have it. I immediately asked them to refund my card they had just swiped. Their error! The girl in the front said they don't distribute refunds in the office. She gave me a name of someone that never answered her phone. After calling and speaking to multiple people I still have not received my refund! For 7 months I have been told it's processing! The front office people were poorly trained and it's a dump inside. Maybe they can use my money for some paint to spruce up the place! read more

They use the term "urgent" in their name, but that urgency does not seem to be in their processes. I went in for a Covid test. After signing in, it took over an hour before they even got around to sending me the link to their registration page. After filling out that form, it was another hour before they bothered to tell me there were still many people ahead of me. At that point, I gave up and left. read more

I went to CareFirst Urgent Care - Springboro to get a Covid 19 test using Medicare. After the test i received a bill for $149. After bringing it to their attention they said they would corrected it. then I received a bill for $340. After another tegus call they they took care of the Medicare payment but charged me $41 dollar to give me the free test. After talking to Medicare it appears if I had gone to a drugstore, hospital, doctors office or any other place for the test it would have been no charge. SO IF YOU WOULD PREFER TO PAY $41 EXTRA FOR YOUR FREE COVID 19 TEST GO TO CareFirst Urgent Care. I assume this applies to all of their locations. read more

Staff were very nice and friendly, office was clean, and I was seen quickly. I'd hurt my ankle badly and they were able to do an X-ray in the office. The nurse practitioner who saw me was very gentle when she examined me. I didn't see any HIPPA violations at all as the other reviewer mentioned, and I have a medical background. Staff was friendly and quick. I had an upper respiratory and strep. They diagnosed, treated with a steroid shot to help the inflammation, and sent me out the door with a prescription. My total bill was around $130 + a $10 prescription. I paid $100 at the clinic and received a bill for the rest. read more

HIPPA violations all over the place! Front desk has a list which is publicly seen with walkins name, birthdate and other personally identifiable information publicly seen and not blacked out later. Next, front desk person, in front of everyone in the waiting room,loudly calls into patient's insurance carrier to find out what the deductible is. This is done in front of all the patients There was only one person ahead of us and it took a very long time to get in. read more

Billing dept is horrible they have billed me 3 times for the same bill when I payed the first bill and 2nd bill. So they keep cashing my checks and not updating their system. Now they owe me money and keep sending me bills. That's stealing in my book. They aren't doing their job. I know mistakes happen but 3 in a row, come on get with it. Don't go here they will keep charging you over and over for the same bill. Watch it and doctors deserve 6 figure salaries yea right. It seemed to be a good visit with a knowledgeable NP whose diagnosis was spot on & pre-registration made the check-in process simple. I should've known it was too good to be true. I paid the copay I knew I had due with my insurance at check-in. That should've been all I owed according to my insurance company. However, a month after the fact I get a mysterious charge posted to the card I used for my copay. Since I never received a bill or any notification of a remaining balance, I believed the charge to be a fraudulent charge. I called the billing office (twice because at my 1st call their phones were saying they weren't open at 8:30 during the week even though it was clearly at a time when the phones should've been open). I spoke with someone who asked for an account number (which I didn't have because I never received a bill) & I told her I didn't have one because no bill was received. She said the month-later charge was due to my deductible (my insurance stated I only had a copay due). I asked why a charge was posted to my card without my authorization & without notifying me about it. She told me I "signed" something authorizing credit card authorization for any remaining balance after insurance was billed. I told her the only thing I signed was authorizing my card to be charged for my copay based on the information I actually had time to read at check-in. There was no indication that this authorized my card to now be on file if there was a balance due after insurance (which according to my insurance there shouldn't have been). This is some shady billing practice if they are charging people supposedly the remainder of their balance without a bill ever being sent & without any notification the charge was taking place. In this day & age with financial information being stolen & fraudulent charges taking place, how can they justify automatically charging someone's card without any prior notification? read more

Great facility! Little to no wait time even on the weekend. The NP was extremely caring and really took the time to listen to my symptoms, unlike some doctors I've seen who just cut you off or talk over you. She had a diagnosis and plan within minutes. They even sold me the medication on site. What's better than one-stop shopping? I highly recommend this Urgent Care over all others I've been to, the patient care can't be beat! read more
