If I could give zero stars, I would. I came in to return a USPS package and the lady working already had an attitude the moment I walked in. She spoke in an annoyed tone and when I asked if they accept USPS returns, she said yes. I had my package but no printed label. I asked if they had a printer, and she rudely told me no -- that I needed a QR code so she could print it. I told her "okay, no problem," went to my car, and texted my sibling for the QR code. When I came back with exactly what she asked for, she was still rude and dismissive. She raised her voice at me, kept saying things like "I told you" and acted stuck on the fact that I didn't have a printed label at first -- even though she was the one who told me to bring the QR code in the first place. So she could in her worlds "scan it and then it would print and process" At that point it was obvious she didn't want to help from the beginning. Instead of doing her job, she chose to argue, be aggressive, and make the whole situation harder than it needed to be. Terrible customer service. Update: I ended up going to a real usps and they scanned my Qr code printed the label and sent my return on its way. How it was SUPPOSED to be done. Took less than 2 minutes. read more

Do not go here. They will not verify addresses or ask you if they have anything correct. I wrote on my package the "to" and "from" but apparently they were "in the wrong place" and my packages were shipped. To me. I returned to the postal office to ask for their help shipping again to the correct addresses, assuming that they would help me since they shipped them to the wrong ones. They were happy to. If I paid again. They would not own their mistake or give me a refund for my shipping and they were VERY rude about it. Never again. read more

This place is close to home and I drop packages off and buy supplies when I need to. I started a smaller business back in August and I've been using Carefree Postal ever since. I've had a total of 12 packages missing to date. All of the packages have tracking numbers, but they are showing as pre-transit meaning they never left the building. A lady who works there ( possible the owner) loads her vehicle up with the parcels and takes everything to the post office. I want to support this business but I am losing confidence the packages are making it to USPS directly. I've had to send additional products out to customers and it's hurting my bottom line and hurting my reviews. I recommend having USPS pick up your packages directly ( request a pickup ). This way they scan it when they pick it up. read more

I called back and she started yelling through the phone and said she couldn't give me a tracking number. I hope I can get in contact with an owner soon. I add my negatives to this list. I sent a package to a family member last week and there was NO label even put on the package despite me paying for it. My son received the package, had to go down to the post office to pick it up and had to pay for it himself because they did not put a label on the package to begin with. So I've paid $40 for a package that should have cost me half that. I called today asking what happened and she was very flip about it, made excuses, and wouldn't even let me finish a sentence. I felt so run over as I couldn't even say anything. She was on the defense from the start, probably because, as I'm seeing, the is common for this store. I was obviously very upset. She did not care at all. There is no manager around, just this woman doing everything and every single time I've gone into that store she's been sitting on her cell phone. She gets up to "help" you, and then sits right back down on her phone. I will continue fighting to get my money back but based off of these reviews that's not likely to happen. I went in this morning to mail off a 2x2x2 ring box containing a valuable ring and asked the clerk what mailer would be the best. The short, dark haired clerk said she could not give me a recommendation that it was up to me to choose. Her voice had a slight irritated edge to it. As I continued to look over the mailers, I responded by saying that I was not asking her to choose a mailer but that her expertise would be much appreciated. She refused to help me out and then became clearly more irritated, for some reason, at which point I acknowledged her attitude saying that I simply wanted some assistance. She muttered her apparent disgust under her breath at which point I took my business elsewhere. Typically, I am quite an understanding person but unfortunately, this not the first time, by any means, I have had this kind of touchy experience with her. My wife and I were in there last week and had a similar edgy encounter. NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS! I will not return to Carefree Postal Services again nor recommend it to anyone. I love the convenience and that fact that they always have supplies. However they don't answer the phone and were rude when I asked about a package I mailed 11 days ago. I understand COVID but I've also mailed packages from 3 other post offices and been able to track items which have arrived. They could have been nicer and taken the time to look it up instead of saying they'll email me. I've spent over $100 with them recently. Never again. COVID doesn't give you the right to be rude to someone checking on a package to a loved one. You can answer the phone and tell someone to hold or at least make it to where they can leave voicemail. read more

I brought in a package for shipping to Oklahoma. It was addressed in large writing with black sharpie. I mailed it on a Monday for a Friday arrival. However, somehow, the package was mailed to my address here in the Springs. How they managed to do that, I have no idea. They blamed the new clerk. I tried to call the owner the next day, with no answer. I left a message for him to call me, but no response. I also asked for tracking, but did not receive any information at all. I used to come here all the time after my neighborhood one closed. Recently, they have also become an antique shop which confuses me greatly. The one employee with brown shoulder length hair is always smiling and very helpful when I needed to mail out a yarn order and needed a box to ship it in. She is vey friendly and helpful and I appreciat her. The owner's daughter on the other hand is rude, disrespectful, brash and loud. Last week I was dropping off packages, and the nice employee was going to take them when the owner's daughter abruptly jumped all over the employee telling her she had to weigh them. It was unneccessary to speak to an employee in that manner in front of a customer. As I was leaving an older, heavy set lady was walking in with a large package. She was struggling to hld on to the package and set it down on the snooker table that is for sale in the shop. The owner's daughter then loudly attacked this poor lady yelling at her stating "that's not a work station". Thankfully the lady spoke up for herself and then got into a verbal confrontation with the owner's daughter. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! My husband has also had negative interactions with the owner's daughter. We won't be returning. read more

This is a post and store shop not a post office who messed up one shipment coming to a friend of mine ( a gift) from something i bought off facebook. Carefree Postal is a great alternative to the regular post office, less lines and hassle. They also have shipping supplies and more! Excellent customer service as well. All my packages have been delivered on time. Will continue using them as long as I live in C/S. read more

I had to go in here because I didn't have time to go to the Galley Post Office and the service was extremely different then the first time I went in here. I really didn't want to go back but am glad I gave this place another chance. Staff was extremely friendly and I noticed they moved the sign that says total must be $5 to use a card. Much more visible now. Customer service is key. read more

If I could give a negative review I would. Ordinarily, though I find this establishment not the most friendly, they have been convenient to use. However, nothing is a problem or crisis until it is. Here's what I experienced: on 12/21/18 I mailed a package to England and was not given my copy of the customs form nor a tracking number. They tell customers they can track by the register receipt. My package did not arrive when they told me it would arrive. I phoned multiple times and left detailed messages to no avail trying to get help finding my package. No one returned my calls. I had to go into the store and throw a fit to get any service. The lady who ran the counter told me she would have to go through a large sack of receipts to find mine. She emptied the sack and a months worth of receipts, both national and international fell on the counter and off onto the floor. I was shocked at their abhorrent filing system. I then asked for the owners phone number, left the store and phoned him. I was told by the women at the counter that the owner was Jason Henry. It is not. I later received a call from Ron Smith. In the mean time, I went to the real post office and told them what happened and showed them my cash register receipts. They informed me that the store was doing the community a disservice by not providing a tracking number and customs form (for international only) at the point of purchase. If the store lost the tracking information or customs form then the customer had no way of tracking items sent. The cash register receipt was only an indication that I purchased something there which could be packing supplies or stamps or whatever they sold there. I was also told by the real post office that organized record keeping is a must and that they also were appalled by the stores record keeping since federal regulations require hard copies to be retained for several years. I was eventually able to obtain my customs form and tracking number from them but Ron Smith was unconcerned with the record keeping and did not feel not providing his customer with that essential tracking number was a disservice. I intend to report the store and events to the Postal Inspector. I cannot recommend Carefree Postal Services to anyone going forward. The attitude toward responsible record keeping is unacceptable. It's not a problem until it is. The package in question contained items which could not be replaced but finally did arrive; although not on time. I paid for priority international shipping and was told it would make it by Xmas. It did not. Ron Smith's response to record keeping was that's how they've always done it but that doesn't make it right or responsible. Use them at your peril. read more

It is Sat. Dec. 23rd at 1:43 P.M. I just got back home from a wasted trip to this postal station. I called this morning to ask a question and no one answered--I assumed they were still busy. So I drove out to ask it and found the door locked when they advertise they are "open" until 2:00. The employees were having their Christmas Party (which I'm sure they deserve) but all of them ignored me when I rattled the locked door. My question was about a package that I sent Priority mail on Dec. 14th that has not arrived. I did not receive the tracking number (someone did not do their job) so I have no way to follow up on this. There goes the time and effort I put in to mail it early so my Grandkids would have their presents--not to mention what it cost to send it Priority Mail. What a pleasant surprise! I usually go to USPS to mail packages, but it takes forever to get to a clerk. I saw this place and took a chance. I was greeted by a pleasant young woman and the business was clean and bright. It was 9 am and got in and out within 5 minutes. The clerk told me their prices for mailing packages was the same as the USPS. This is a relatively new business,, so to track my package, she needed my email address to confirm. By the time I got home, it was confimed with the address I sent the package. Very happy with my experience. read more

Beware! They will charge for 1st class postage but actually send the item 3rd class. There was a third-class stamp on the package. Regardless of what they claim they are just making money on unsuspecting customers. Had my doubts the first time I used them, verified it when I sent a package to my sister. It's too bad since they are close and the lady is very nice to your face, but cheating customers isn't a good thing! Never a "hello--be with you in a minute" or any acknowledgement we're there. I currently live in WI, but was visiting friends in the Springs. I was having breakfast, then heading back to DIA to head back home. When there I purchased some great xmas gifts - however had no way of getting them home (without spending $45 to check the gift at the airport). I drove all around the Springs looking for a post office that was open. Problem was, everyone was closed for the National Day of Morning for President Bush. I pulled into Carefree Postal, got out of the car, and realized they were closed. I was frustrated. At that moment, i'm assuming the owner walked out. I told him my situation, and he told me to come inside. He took my package and said that he would check it in, and get it out in the mail tomorrow when the mail system was open. It ended up costing me $15 to mail my package to myself back home instead of checking it at the airport. The 5 minutes that he spent with me, understanding my situation and helping me was amazing! I am so grateful for his understanding! I made sure to call my friends that live in the Springs and told them how he helped me. They now will travel the extra way to use his services instead of going to the post office, simply because of the help he provided me. Thank you so much!! read more

I was right all along, saying, I bet I will see more negatives on this site about you guys. I can read many reviews the same behavior is being thrown on customers from that same snotty female cashier. I choose not to come here because of the attitude and their email addiction. After the purchase for service I'm asked for an email.. I said I do not use my email, she the snotty female said my boss needs your email for less crowed reasons.. and check this out, I was the only one in the store and here's the kicker after I said, then tell your boss I'd rather go to the post office, she took the package on the counter and then slightly threw the pen on the counter with a bulldog look on her face and said in a very snotty way, there's your tracking number. If this is your store policy and demand an almost mandated email authoritarian attitude, I will never go in your store again, what if I don't have an email or I just don't feel the need to share it for privacy concerns? Your cashier would rather put up a snotty argument over this and lose customers? I live right up the road and I'd rather go else where, if I get an apology and not to be asked for my email I will go back again. Here's something I showed her...
