Found out today that Mike no longer owns Careful Cleaners and it is reflective of the service. Brought in a table cloth 3.5 weeks ago and still have not received it. The challenge is that no one knew or knows what is going on. They say they will call the cleaner or me and never do. Been in atleast six times to get the table cloth returned and every time I go in, no one knows anything about the lead time or if it is lost. Clothes take longer to return and today after going in to finally get my table cloth ( still not there), my dry clean was returned only to find one pair of pants was not cleaned and no reason was given. The girl behind the counter could not tell me why it was not cleaned. No rips on the pants, etc. The service is not friendly even though all I want is to have my property returned in a reasonable time after properly paying for the service. Not returning to this business again. I wish some of the other workers who worked with Mike were still there read more

Not bad. They open early and are very friendly. A little pricey but my garments such as slacks and vest come out perfect. I haven't brought my jacket yet but I'm sure they'll do fine. Would be nice if yelp users got at least a 50 cent discount per garment. We do drive you more business. read more

Panic! The cleaner around the corner from my house put a horrible double-crease in my brand new police uniform pants, even with a special instructions note to be careful because they are for inspection tomorrow. In a panic, a Google search brought up Yelp and the Careful Cleaners that had a press on site. We called ahead and they kept the press on as we rushed over shortly before closing. They were wonderful! They are worth the few extra miles to drive and have now my business. read more

I've been being my uniforms here for about 3 or 4 weeks now, and they do a great job! Plus open on Saturday's with same day service. I showed up 7 minutes late on Saturday from there time 9 A.M. And he still took care of me! I'm going to recommend this place to all my coworkers. read more

Great laundry! Airy and clean facility. Friendly informative staff. Took my shirts and dry cleaning their based on their Yelp reviews and calling them for more info. I wasn't disappointed. Their prices are very moderate: not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. They answered my questions by phone before I brought in my shirts about price and turn-around time. I read the reviews of this cleaners and gave it a try on some stained, but very special items. Not only did they get the stains out, but took such care of the items that they look new. The fact that the owner is on-site and that so much of the work is done right there in the store makes it even better. You are literally dealing with the people who will be cleaning your garments. I have been to at least 5 cleaners in Mesa since 2006 and this place is the best! read more

I leaned against some sort of BBQ contraption and got a bunch of black grease on my favorite Robert Graham shirt (around $100). Based on their current yelp reviews and I liked the couple in the picture, I called them and they said I should talk to Candi. So I went in and asked for Candi which is something I normally do not do, being diabetic and all and it not being Halloween yet. Candi gave me a very realistic expectation saying she'd do her best but it would probably not come out completely. When I picked it up is was way better than I expected and is barely noticeable. This shirt will last me many more years unless next time I lean against an actual fire. read more

I had to pick up my wedding dress from alterations 3 days before my wedding and needed it pressed. I was desperate to find somewhere with a quick turnaround. Careful Cleaners was able to do a pressing same day (my dress wasn't an easy press either). The pricing was great too! I can't say that they would be able to do this every time, but I was so grateful to them for helping me out in this rush situation. Will definitely use again! read more

I WAS a regular at CC on Signal Butte. Wore a dress to my nephew's wedding and brought it to be cleaned in AUGUST. Received it back and it was completely discolored. Talked to Candy and she said she was aware it was bad and it was probably due to the chemicals not agreeing and the temps get to 500 degrees, blah blah blah. She attempted to clean it again, still bad results. After 4 months. I finally reach "Doug", the new owner. (Mike, previous owner was awesome...) His customer service skills couldn't be worse. He said he'd look into it a few weeks back and I never heard from him again. Finally received my dress back and it is WORSE than it was after the first second and third cleaning. I called to speak with Doug. He was "in" but not accepting phone calls. I drove to the cleaners and asked the lady up front to speak with him. She went back, spoke with him and he refused to come speak to me. Not even knowing what my issue was. I could've been there to present him with the publishers clearing house check and he would've missed out. I asked her to go tell him there's a customer who'd like to speak with him and she was literally afraid and told me she didn't want to get yelled at. What?! She finally went and asked him to come speak with me and he yelled "what does she want?" I yelled back, "I want to speak to you!" Finally he honored me and spoke with me. He told me the quality of my dress was the problem and that's why he didn't sell that brand. Huh? This dress was an Ivanka Trump that cost $149 at Dillard's. He then asked me what I expect for him to do and that that spent 4 months trying to clean it. Huh? I told him I expect my dress to be cleaned, not ruined and unwearable. Again, he asked me what I expected. I told him that more than just ruining my dress, his customer service skills AS AN OWNER OF A BUSINESS are horrendous and asked how he was going to make it right. He offered ZERO. He came at me with attitude, continued the attitude throughout the conversation and didn't even try to appease me by refunding my cleaning fee paid in AUGUST. I also notice he does not respond to any comments on Yelp. Only one and that was about joining the loyalty club. It's unfortunate and I really hope the poor woman working the counter didn't get yelled at by him like she was afraid would happen. Great staff, Terrible owners and terrible management. I have been using careful cleaners for 1 year. They ruined $400 worth of my shirts. Dilliards brand and Ralph Lauren. Some shirts were less than 6 months old. Nothing but excuses and they told me they were not going to fix anything. They are horrible!!! They will ruin your stuff. They offered a small credit of service. Does not take away the fact I'm out 8 relatively new shirts. In addition I spoke to two other dry cleaners and they told me that High volume, low cost cleaners have this problem over and over it was their fault. They both confirmed along with Dillards that it was their faulty machinery. I called the owner Michael again to let him know. He still gave excuses why he is not going to make things right. Wow! First-Class Service! When my daughter's wedding gown needed to be cleaned, I searched online for a reputable cleaner who could get the job done. We'd used another cleaner in the east Mesa area for general cleaning, but for this special dress, I wanted to be sure I had absolutely the best cleaning service I could find. I would have been willing to drive to the far end of Phoenix for the right cleaner, but it turns out I didn't have to. After reading the positive reviews for Careful Cleaners, I decided they were the ones to tackle the job. I was most impressed with comments regarding the owner's personal brand of service. Let me add here that this is a very expensive dress covered in beading and rows of flounces. The care label reads: Do Not Dry Clean. Do Not Wash. How is anyone supposed to clean it? I dropped the dress off at the Signal Butte location and was told that one of the owners would need to personally look at the dress and see if it could be cleaned. Soon after, Mike called and said that the dress would be a real challenge to clean, especially since the makers stated that it could not be dry cleaned or washed, and since it was so heavily beaded. The huge layers of ruffled material were also going to make things difficult. And the train was FILTHY after being dragged across the floor for hours. Mike spoke at length with me about cleaning options, then kept the dress for about a week and actually called me a couple of times to update me on the cleaning progress. When I picked the dress up yesterday at the Sossaman location, I was absolutely amazed! The dress looks like brand new and not a single bead out of place! The ruffles flounce beautifully. Wow...we were just amazed! I also love the cardboard form that the dress was hung on; so much better than a regular hanger. Five stars for customer service and a job done incredibly well! Also, the ladies at the counter at both the Signal Butte and Sossaman locations were very helpful and nice. Thanks, Mike, we couldn't be happier!!! read more

PLEASE READ! This establishment is dishonest, untrustworthy, and definitely not careful at all. They ruined my wedding dress, lost my crown and veil, and would not give us a refund for it or even acknowledge the damage that had been done. Working with them through the whole ordeal was a nightmare. It's devastating to have your dress ruined, but the lack of communication and integrity has made this the worst experience I've ever had with a business. PLEASE don't take anything of value to this cleaners. Here's my story if you're interested: We dropped my dress off at the Sossaman location. We told them there was glue on some parts of the dress; they reassured us that they would do a spot test and use the proper method for it and that everything would be fine. We paid for it to be boxed with the crown and veil (proof on receipt). When we went to pick it up, there was glue residue all over the dress, the lace and sequins were yellow and falling off, and it was ruined. They also could not find my crown and veil and sent us to the Higley store to ask if it was there. They would not give us a refund, instead they held the dress at their location (sitting under the florescent lights not even in a bag) and said they would contact the owner (Mike), but would not give us his number to contact him directly--very shady. This went on for months with no answer from Mike. One time when we went to look at it, they asked if we wanted a seamstress to make alterations to it. I told them it would be fine for a seamstress to assess what could be done, but to call me before they did anything to it. The next time we went in, everything had been taken off. Still, we had never heard from Mike. Finally, after 1.5 years of this run around, we took the dress and told them to have Mike contact us. He never has. We took the issue to small claims court and they have been unresponsive during this process, as well. Customer service has been non-existent. They have never owned up to the mistake. Completely unprofessional, dishonest, and careless, especially with something as special as a wedding dress. Take your business somewhere else. read more
