I sought treatment from this location due to an auto accident and I have no complaints. Their location and times they were open were more convenient than my regular health position. I did have to wait quite a bit to get x-rays but, that was probably because I went later in the evening, about an hour before they were scheduled to close. The doctor took the appropriate amount of time to go over my complaints and do her examination. She didn't rush through the exam like a lot of doctors do. I was also a cash pay patient, and their pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place over one of those smaller, emergency centers where you will be charged several thousands of dollars for the same service. The receptionist also told me what the charges would be before I even filled out the paperwork, so I knew ahead of time, approximately what I was expected to pay. This was a relief compared to other emergency care facilities. I went in at the first signs of being sick, I felt feverish and my right tonsil was red, swollen, and had white puss on it. The nurse seemed wildly incompetent because even with my "text book" Strep symptoms she was only going to test for Covid and the Flu. When I asked if we could also test for strep her response was "we can if you want". The rapid results for Covid, flu, and strep all came back negative but when the doctor saw my throat she asked for the nurse to do a throat culture which needed to be sent off for testing. Four days later of 102 fever, body aches, sore throat, congestion and only Motrin to help; my results from the throat culture came back and it was positive for Strep. I had to ask for that test twice! If someone who has zero medical training knows more about the symptoms of strep than your nurse staff, I don't have any faith that this location knows how to diagnose people. My experience with this location was amazing. I reserved my spot online. I was in and out in less than 1:30. The Dr and staff were very patient and understanding. I flew in for work and got sick upon landing. Everything was explained in detail. When I left, I called back to get more meds, and this happened without any delay. 10/10 care. read more

Everyone that has checked in before me has been seen before me.This is incredibly frustrating and shows a lack of respect for patients' time. I had the worst experience of my life at this particular clinic than I've ever had all my life! The receptionist by the name of Jasmine was just horrible to me, with the worst attitude, she was always reluctant when i asked for stamp. she Kept getting my name wrong for official papers that I have to use at my office and for insurance claims and when I asked her to correct it she was not having it. I truly regret going to this clinic. I had to wait 2+hours to be seen by a doctor, after which I waited another 2+ hours for Jasmine to give me my paper work which she kept getting the name wrong for as I was waiting I decide it's been super long let me walk up to her only for her to claim having forgotten about my papers yet I was seating right in-front of her. She goes on to blame one her colleagues claiming she was supposed to print it out for me so she'll do it instead, as if she's doing me a favor. After getting my name wrong this lady tells me to either wait 10-15 more minutes for my fit to fly certificate or come back later for it, I kept getting shocked and confused cos I was wondering what this lady is on about, is it not enough that you've made me wait, the doctor saw me for about 10mins, the other 3hrs plus I was just waiting. When she said to come back one of her colleagues offers to email me the certificate instead and Jasmine murmurs something under her breath as I walk away. We had our own masks but they did give us surgical masks good thing.. then you sit In waiting room the chairs are 6ft apartment the floors are filthy, when they call a patient back they do NOT wipe the chairs down it's COVID-19... ok so you wait and wait then they call you back and the nurse takes your blood pressure etc and then you wait wait wait for the doctor... I would not recommend going here. I went in for a bug bite that turned into a bruise. First, when I got there one girl called me up but was still helping another girl and had me fill out my information right next to her which you aren't supposed to do.. I did go back quite quickly and paid $200 basically for nothing the doctor just acted like it wasn't a big deal even though I have been sick for days and it's a huge bruise. Anyway the draw my blood and say let's just wait for the results it's takes 24 hours. I went in around 9am so the next day at noon I still hadn't heard anything so I called and the front desk girl is like oh yeah your results are back and she just reading everything off and I'm like "what does that mean?" She has no clue and just kept saying "you can come in and pick up your results" she said it like 7 times even though they have an app... I have her transfer me to a nurse who is equally useless and just kept saying "the notes just say to have you come in and re-test and asked if I could came in that day to which I replied "why?". I'll try to be as objective as possible: 1. I had cleared with my insurance company before visiting this CareNow Urgent Care, so I knew my covid test was fully covered, yet they asked me for a 200$ copay to conduct a covid test. 2. I called my insurance again, and the combative front desk and the insurance rep had a lot of to and fro on whether my visit was covered. Turns out it is covered, the front desk just didn't know about it. 3. AFTER sticking that swab up my nose, a physician walks in and tells me that I need to do a mandatory physian's visit in order for them to give me the covid test results. Without the physian's visit they will NOT do the covid test. 4. So it looks like Covid testing is fully covered by my insurance at this place, but CareNow Urgent care requires an outpatient physician visit in order to do the covid test, as that is their business policy. So the one star review is for CareNow Urgent Care's cheap tactics of requiring the physician's 'urgent care' visit for releasing my covid test results AND not informing me about this policy beforehand. Sounds like CareNow Urgent Care is just trying to make more money using unscrupulous practices. read more

The care you receive is fine. The problem is with seeing a doctor. I came in because I wasn't feeling well. They did labs and asked me to come in for a follow up appoint the following week to review labs. I called the next day to schedule an appointment for 9:30 the following week. I arrived on time and was told that there were people ahead of me who also had a 9:30 appointment. I told them I didn't understand how there were multiple people with 9:30 appointments and were already ahead of me. I made an appointment last week. He said it didn't work that way. I would be behind the people who did web check in today. Huh? CareNow advertises that it wants to be your primary care office, but they can't give you appointments. Who would want that? After waiting 10 min, which doesn't seem long, they called me up there and said they would honor what the person told me last week and put me on the list. They said they only make appointments for workers comp claims. They also asked if I had met my deductible, because if I hadn't I would be charged for the follow up. The service I received from the PA was excellent. I will use CareNow for one off care, but I will never make them primary. read more

The staff provided with a registration form which is 4 pages and after that I have to wait for 15 mins to take my test. The urine test took around 10 mins and the place is really clean. read more

This place is TRASH and I will never come back to this location, I am only giving a star because I have to. I will just drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to the Abrams location going forward. I tried to get seen because I had an allergic reaction to something and my normal doctor could not see me for a month, so I figured urgent care was the next best thing and I could get help. I did web check in before 1pm and was told to come in around 3 and that a room was ready for me. I arrive by 3:10 and still wait an hour to even get to a room. I had my vitals taken and was told a doctor would be in shortly. I had to leave by 4:30 to pickup my nephew and asked about how much longer it would be and was told that there were 2-3 patients before me and it would probably be another hour or so before I could even be seen. I was told I would have to start the process all over again if I wanted to come back later this evening, so I just asked for a refund and left. Based on the level of "service" received, I would not trust receiving any medical care from this location! It was a complete waste of time and energy trying to get help here! read more

I pulled a muscle in my shoulder. I am unable to move without pain. I was unable to get in with my general practitioner before I leave on vacation in two days. I have been to this location before and have had good experiences so I did online check in. I got a call and was asked why I was coming in. I explained I pulled a muscle in my shoulder and needed to get a muscle relaxer. I was asked if I had been in before and I said yes but it had been a couple of years. I was then told the Dr. does not prescribe narcotics. I did not know muscle relaxers were classified as narcotics. I asked if muscle relaxers were narcotics and was told yes. I was told the Dr. could prescribe something for pain and asked if I still wanted to come in. I felt awkward and didn't want to pay $160 for 800 mg of tylenol or something else that would just mask a problem. I said no and hung up. I called a friend who is a nurse. I explained the phone conversation. She said, #1 they screened me on the phone and labeled me a "SEEKER". I asked what she meant. She said someone who is looking for drugs. #2 the woman lied. First off, I believe her name is Charlotte, showed a level of empathy and care I rarely see. She helped me get checked in from home. I think it's awesome this location lets you do that. Tested positive for Covid last week and stayed home and treated symptoms with cold meds. After a week, energy has returned and symptoms have lessened but I wanted to rule out any ear or sinus infection! I signed in online early in the morning and was the first patient. The staff was friendly and the doctor quick, clear and concise. No infection but I did receive a steroid shot to help with the swelling in the tubes. Called asking if they provided x-rays in the office. They said yes. Got to facility and asked again if they were able to do x-rays. I was there post car accident and needed to have x-rays. They said, "Yes, we do x-rays here." Taken back to a room. (the place smelled awful). The girl doing the in take asked why I was there. I said, car accident and I needed x-rays. She said they would be doing 3 of each area on my back. 1 1/2 hours into my time there and the Dr. walks in. Asks, why am I there. I repeat, I need x-rays. She says, "Well our x-ray technician isn't in today." I said I asked everyone before coming over and wasting 2 hours if you could do x-rays and they all said yes. The Dr. repied, "Well, they don't know anything." You can drive 25-30 minutes to another office and they will get you in to do the x-rays. I said this was a complete waste of time for me. She said, we won't charge you for today. So after being in the room 4 minutes and 20 seconds she took off her gloves to leave. I asked if I could get MRI's of my back and she said sure. 15 minutes later a person walks in with paperwork for orders for an MRI and a prescription for muscle relaxers which I hadn't asked for. I said the Dr. said there wouldn't be a charge for today and this person said yes we are charging you, she wrote a prescription so you owe $330 for today's visit. read more

My son is tested positive at their facility with Covid. Was told the entire family must quarantine for 14 days. I call to ask if they are checking the results with the PCR test. Nobody bothered to call me back. So I sent my son for a PCR test and results come back negative. I send a fax asking then to explain and to date still no response. One of the worst urgent care places I have ever been. The people were nice enough, but no one truly cared about my condition or treatment. Makes me sad that there are so many in healthcare that simply don't care about patients or helping people feel well again. I came in 8 days ago and had labs drawn for diagnosis and was told I would get a call in 1-2 days with results. Never did receive any call. Then, I had to call them 5-6 times to ask for my results. They wouldn't tell me anything but urged that I "come back in" if I still felt bad. (Well of course I did! They hadn't done anything!? Why would I feel better? My guess is they wanted more money for another visit to run the exact same tests!) So here I am sitting in the patient room. I've been waiting back here for 45 minutes to see someone. I got to the clinic right at open and had to wait an hour to be called back. I just wish they had clinicians that cared about their patients! It's very frustrating being lost in the mix and not followed up with when you're in a lot of pain. Any response, even "I don't know", would be nice at this point. Side note: The girl Shay at the desk is detrimental to your business!!!! She was so rude and made me very uncomfortable when I had to bring samples in. The only reason this is one star is there is no zero! My daughter was visiting from NYC and had an ear infection when she landed. I drove her over and we got there at 5:01pm. The B***** that came to the door said we Close at 5pm. I said can't you see her she is in pain. She said we slclose at 5. You can go to an emergency room or go to the Care Now on 685. I loathe being sick. Really, I'm awful at it. Think how a guy acts except I'm too stubborn to actually let anyone help me, much less go to the doctor for medication. That being said, I'm sure it's no shock that I don't have a primary care physician despite having been in Dallas for over 5 years now. Bad, bad Rachael. Much to my horror, I developed a tickle in my throat & it just would not go away. By the time I woke up on Saturday morning, there was no more ignoring the problem. Enter CareNow *yay* They open fairly early, even on Saturdays, so by the time I got there at 8:10 a.m., I was number four in line for service. That concerned me a little, but I went ahead & checked in anyway. They took my insurance info and gave me some forms to fill out, but those didn't take long. The ladies at the front desk were friendly enough & got everything set up for me pretty quickly. I took a seat in the waiting area, which had comfy chairs and a few TVs that had a movie playing. By 8:30, I was seated in an examination room taking to a LVN about my symptoms. She asked some questions, wrote down my complaints, & did a quick check on my vitals. After that, she left me & said the doctor would be in soon. This was the only sour part of the visit, actually. The doctor was held up (me being #4 in line & all), so I sat waiting for a solid 20 minutes. Fortunately, I had the TV and a few magazines to keep me preoccupied. I wasn't in a hurry or anything, but I'm not a fan of being told it'll be a few minutes and then waiting a while. Next time, just don't quote me a time :) The doctor on duty was awesome - friendly, to the point, and actually listened to what I said. She had me diagnosed fairly quickly, though she decided to run some other tests just to be sure. She also gave me multiple options for treatment including an antibiotic, a cortizone shot for pain/swelling, a mouthwash to numb the pain in my throat, and some high-dose pain medication. I stuck with the antibiotic & skipped out of there for a whopping $20 co-pay. Awesome. I figured I'd call back in a few days to get some test results, but CareNow actually called a day later just to check up on me. How lovely! And totally unexpected. I appreciate the follow up, so they get an extra kudos for customer service. Hopefully, these meds will do the trick & I won't need to return to CareNow. However, if I do find myself sick enough to warrant a doctor visit, I'll likely hit up this place again. read more

After not being able to get into my regular doctor, I called CareNow and was able to get an appointment for that evening. This was not the first time I have come to this location. My husband and I have been here a handful of times because they have after hour appointments. This location was the one to discover that my husband had a hernia when no one else knew what was going on. Last night I was glad to be able to get an appointment and see a doctor who took the time and care to figure out what was going on. She took blood samples as well just to make sure. My only complaint is that they had my maiden name on all the paperwork when I had asked them to change it earlier in the day. It took additional time to make the correction.
