The visit itself was fine, but what was frustrating is that we ended up being the very last ones seen, even though we were among the first to arrive. Everyone who came in after us was called ahead of us, and by the time we were finally seen, the waiting room was completely empty. It just didn't make any sense, and when we asked about it--politely--they didn't offer any explanation or try to address the situation. I'm really disappointed with how it was handled.

After switching again to BlueCross BlueShield HMO, I finally got an appointment. But Dr. Muhyiddin rushed through it, offering only a few minutes of his time. When I asked for a referral to an orthopedic specialist--required by my insurance--he dismissed my request and said he didn't have time. During a telehealth visit, his advice was vague, and he showed no interest in addressing my health concerns, despite me struggling with high cholesterol levels and other serious issues. I reached out multiple times, but my messages went unanswered, and my calls were ignored. As a Muslim, I am reminded of the verse from the Quran that says, "The believers are but brothers" (Quran 49:10). I trusted Dr. Muhyiddin as a brother, but instead, I was met with arrogance and neglect. It is deeply saddening to see someone, especially a Muslim doctor, forget the values of compassion and service. I watched as Dr. Muhyiddin became more successful and popular, but I also want to remind him that in the blink of an eye, Allah can change anyone's status. Allah is the one who gives, and He is the one who can take away. It's pride that blinds us to this truth, and I pray that Dr. Muhyiddin understands that no matter how high he rises, he can be humbled in an instant by Allah's will. The pride of ghurur can easily turn a person from the highest to the lowest in the blink of an eye, and I hope he reflects on this. The tech said that she probably had to do Teledoc calls, to which I commented - so, she double-booked? I asked the tech (?) for the name of the NP. She said she didn't know. I told her she must know and she replied, "Martin." I asked for the first name and she wouldn't tell me. I asked for her name and she said she didn't have to tell me! Her badge was turned around. I knocked on the NP door and asked her her full name. Her badge was turned around as well. She hesitated, but gave me her name. I told her and the tech that it was ridiculous to not give me their names and that I'd be sending this info on to a regional manager. They gave me an iPad to check in and do forms, which I love because my hands hurt too and to write most of the time. The process was very straightforward and easy to do! The gentleman upfront was very nice even when they got busy he was still attentive, the nurse in the back was very sweet and friendly, and the doctor was as well. Dr.Livengood explained everything very well and offered a steroid injection to help.
