At security checkpoint, we were separated we had to go through one at a time. I commanded her to sit and wait for me. When it was her turn, from a distance, I then signaled her to walk through the machine very slowly then wait, when security cleared her I signaled her to come and sit beside me. She did an amazing job going through that checkpoint. Her public access training kicked in, she was not phased by noise and totally focused on my commands. Vinc is an outstanding dog trainer.

We've used Prestigious Pets for cat-sitting services a couple times in the past, and all seemed to…read morego okay. One of our cats has epilepsy and needs meds twice daily at exact times or he is likely to have seizures; therefore, combined with the fact that he's not always in the best of health, we'd previously arranged to get a confirmation text or photo so we don't have to worry about him as much when we're away. While we were out of town this weekend, the confirmation texts gradually shifted each time from about an hour after the medication was (hopefully) given to not occurring at all until we had to text ourselves and ask for confirmation that our cats had been taken care of and were okay, and meds had been given. This was frustrating enough until we arrived home and noticed, in the middle of the front mat (inside our apartment), a large unidentified white tablet. As this was highly alarming, we immediately crosschecked it against several reputable pill identification websites. OXYCONTIN. At (the unlikely) best, our sitter "just" negligently left a dangerous controlled substance which could have easily sickened or killed one of our cats in the middle of the freaking floor! Our sitter was the only person in our house while we were gone; I'd swept the entryway and moved the mat just before leaving, and it was not there; no one in the apartment has or takes it. Suddenly all the delayed updates and trouble getting in contact made so much more sense as well. I'm not out to ruin anyone's reputation here, but I could never trust the safety of my my animals to Prestigious Pets again, and I couldn't in good conscience not let others know about this incident. I'm just thankful that both of our cats came out of this situation alive and well, and that I will no longer be unknowingly endangering the health safety of my pets to someone who was supposed to be ensuring it.

I paid $60 for the groom and over a hundred dollars for the vet bill. I called and told them tat the dogs skin was irritated. She said it was probably the shampoo and my dog probably needed an oatmeal bath. I asked what type of shampoo they used and she stated furminator, which is used to control shedding. Well my little dog is hypoallergenic. Why would someone use such a strong shampoo on a non shedding dog? She didn't offer any repayment or apology for the dog being sick. She only indicated if I come back that they would use a different shampoo. Well that was my first time and my last time there. Take you beloved pet somewhere else.

I got a report card & detailed description of their time spent with our babies, pictures & a map of where they walked. When I first met with Jay during our evaluation my pup Nalani was very afraid and unsure of someone…read morenew being in our home. She would not go near him or listen to any commands we tried to use. Jay explained to us the approach he would use during training and I told him about the different goals I had for Nalani. I did some research after our evaluation with Jay and decided that he would be the best fit for us and for training Nalani. There are two things that really stood out with Jay compared to the other companies I looked at, the first being that the was no shock collar involved and the second being that all training was done in home with me or my husband. These were important to me because I didn't want to rely on a collar for my dog to listen and I didn't want to send her away to train, I wanted to build that bond with her so we would continue to succeed long after training. That being said we are now two months post training and Nalani does not miss a beat; she listens the first time for all commands and has quickly learned new ones on top of what she already knows! Just to touch on the training aspect there are few things Nalani learned with Jay that I never believed would be possible or even imagined to train her myself. We live in a split level house and before Jay our dog would run and bark at whoever was at the door no matter the person. On our first official training day we were taught how to instruct her to stay at the top of the steps whenever someone rings the door bell and stay there until released. When Jay told us that was our first goal I thought to myself NEVER in a million years will this work! Well, it did! This is just one of the many simple commands that Jay taught us and I never would have thought of myself. It will also be one that will come in handy for a very long time. Another part of her training was to sit whenever told during walks, not to get distracted, and not to pull on the leash. This one took a bit more training but Jay persisted, he kept at it and showed us different techniques to use during our walks to accomplish leash manners. Now I hardly have to even hold the leash and Nalani stays right at my side and never pulls the leash. The last thing I'd like to mention is off leash walking, this was my biggest goal of the entire training, everything else was great but ultimately I wanted to be able to take my dog anywhere and not worry about her running off when not attached to a leash. After Nalani mastered the other training techniques Jay taught us it was time for the off leash training. This actually was learning on my part, I needed to trust my dog and show her confidence to be off leash. It was unbelievable the first time she did it effortlessly. No leash, right at my side, and I had no worry of her running off!! To end this long review and get to the point, Jay is an absolutely amazing trainer! He went above and beyond training Nalani; he met all of my expectations plus more. I have no regrets choosing him as our trainer and plan to use him for any future dog's training. Jay truly cares for the dogs he trains and its obvious the compassion and love he has as a trainer. I would highly suggest him to anyone looking for effective and lasting training.

It seems their previous groomer is no longer there, and unfortunately the quality has really…read moredeclined. The new groomer, Dani, did a very poor job with my dog. His coat was unevenly shaved, especially around the face and body, and overall looked rushed and unprofessional. I also noticed a yellow residue around his tear duct, which made it seem like his face wasn't properly cleaned. This was a very disappointing experience, and I won't be returning.

She is a professional (she breeds, raises and shows her own greyhounds and borzois). The facility is great and right next to her home so you can be sure your pup will be taken care of. We took our young greyhound to Pat for four days initially and when we picked our dog back up she was in great shape and I even think Pat taught her a thing or two. We left our dog here again for a longer stay of about 12 days and again no issues at all. Our pup loves coming here. It is worth the drive from DC even if it is a bit of a hike. I have no worries leaving my dog here. The same cannot be said of many of the places in DC proper which are often understaffed and very expensive. We'll be visiting often!
