Being able to save time by getting suggestions to nearby facilities and having the appointments made for me was very helpful. The facilities themselves often do a hard sell but that's another story. Once I made a decision the agency had the phone calls stopped (although one or two did call me back to ask "why"). I'm happy with the service and was grateful to have someone else to talk to about this important and sensitive matter as no one else was there for me during this difficult time except for my husband who is incommunicado while he's at work. A place for mom's rep Faith was kind thoughtful and helpful. She asked me important questions to help me prioritize things. Zero pressure. I'm happy with my choice of facility. But they are quick about raising the rent. They have electronic hotel type locks on the apartment doors and a lot of the time they don't work. Enjoy the anxiety of standing in the hallway waiting for someone to come up from security while you're wondering if your loved one is ok. The building looks nice, but you should definitely consider other options.

I am the primary family member to visit. I am outraged. This now opens see up with another avenue of potential identity fraud. I am willing to show my id but their scanning will store my license id & personal information. I am OFFENDED with this policy!!! The prices have been climbing and the food quality has been falling. Maintenance of the gates has been poor. We pay for private aids, the facility personnel don't do that much considering the cost. I'm not too sure about alternatives but we may start looking elsewhere.

We've been using Duet for the last few months for my mother and it's been a wonderful experience…read more We started with live-in home health care aides when she needed a lot of assistance, and have moved onto companion care now that she's more independent but still needs help around the house, running errands, etc. I was able to interview the companion candidates (remotely--I'm out of state) to ensure they were a good fit. My mom now has two super friendly and kind young women who trade off supporting her during the week. She is so at ease with them. I was talking to her today and she randomly started singing "You're So Vain" and I could hear her companion singing along with her! Honestly I can't say enough good things about this company. The professionalism and personalized care starts right at the top with Larisa and is embodied by every person in the company I've engaged with. I feel like there's this amazing team in place looking after my mom, which is very reassuring since unfortunately I live on the other side of the country.

Although we ended up placing our loved one in the care of an institution outside of Fort Lee's Visiting Angels domain - but arriving at that decision and preparing for the transition was done with the care and guidance of Ms. Lopis and her colleagues. During a process that included multiple interviews and detailed discussions Ms. Lopis was gathering information and consulting us on the different options and recommendations. Her knowledge of the different insurance options and alternatives complemented her intimate understanding of our family's needs and dynamics. We looked at other organizations that offer similar services, and in none of those interactions we found the same level of personal attention to the emotional and individual needs coupled with professional acumen offered by Fort Lee Visiting Angels - the professionals that personally care!

I was in a pickle on a Friday evening, when my elderly Mom could not walk anymore due to her upcoming hip surgery. I was literally in tears. I called Stacey who got me an " angel at 8 am the next day." I cannot believe how wonderful she was to assist me all weekend and let me feel so relaxed in such a stressful time. I will be using them from now on with my Mom nursing needs.
