We were told the equipment would be picked up the following day, when I called to get a window of time to have the equipment picked up I was told the pickup had been moved to the next day. We were not called to ask if that would work, nothing! The next 2 days would not work and informed them of this! Who changes the schedule without informing the customer???? After being on hold for several minutes and being made to feel guilty the pickup was scheduled for the original pickup day. This is the reason for the 3 stars! This is no way to treat anyone, extremely poor customer service! If home health equipment is needed in the future we will definitely not use Apria!

After contacting them, I discovered they had indeed used the wrong address. I verified that all my information was correct, and they sent it to my doctor's office. I eventually found out that they had sent it there, and, finally, it was sent to me. I had enrolled in the automatic supply delivery service, but I received a call from Apria saying that my insurance had not approved the supplies. They asked me to contact my insurance, and shortly after that, it was approved. The supply is always delayed, wasting the client's time, and it seems to be a hardship for the company to send the supply despite being approved by the insurance company. This company needs to develop common kindness and accuracy when sending their equipment. Hope they will acknowledge they are dealing with humans whose medical needs rely on the equipments.

What a stressful and disappointing day. I wish that things could have been handled better and…read moreyielded a better overall outcome. July 24th 2016 I had the privilege of meeting Sean and Donna at their home/business. I went there for a fitting and to leave a deposit for my future wheelchair. At that time I was told that the deposit was needed not only to hold a spot in the ever growing line, but also would later be used for parts for the build. I was told that October would probably be the month in which work would begin. December finally came and work had finally begun. Sean was kind enough to send pictures and was always very quick to respond to questions. The day finally came and what a splendid surprise. The chair was much more than I had ever hoped for. It was so great that two months later I reached out to him again and asked for a second chair. We spoke over the phone and he made mention that there was 4 or maybe 5 people a head of me. He told me he wasn't sure and that I would get more info from Donna. On February 25th I received the invoice and on the 26th I submitted my payment. The due date for the balance June 1 2017 coincided with the time frame that I had been given verbally. On May 25th I reached out to Sean via a text and asked if June 1st would still be the start date. I did so because I knew that I hadn't heard from him and I'm sure that the chair hadn't yet been started. He then texted back that he still had four(4) chairs in front of mine. He also mentioned his "endless Doctor visits". I said that I just wanted to say hi and check on my place in line. Now it's July 31 2017. Once again I reached out to Sean via text. Now it was a customer and two companies screwing up that had him backed up. I at this point decided to try and be empathetic and to try to put myself in his shoes. I told him not to stress and to enjoy his last day of July. I at that time even decided to order new tires and was beyond impressed when they came the next day. Now comes the bummer. A few days passed and a friend notifies me of a "rad wheelchair and it might be built by your boy". I was so stoked until I realized that he had built that wheelchair in four days for a customer that had never secured a place with a deposit. Why have a deposit system? I also felt lied to. How could he tell me he's been not well and busy but jumps for this build. I guess the truth is that when you have 5 X's the money to spend you get faster service. I texted Sean and was hoping for a call. A call never came. We texted a few times and we left off with " if you want to take your frustrations out on someone I'll give you the phone numbers to the girl in Canada and the backrest company". WOW! I didn't even reply back. Now a few days have passed and I take notice that they changed my invoice date to August 30 2017. I call and speak with Donna. She said it was normal. I say how accommodating for them. So I continue to wait and finally I need answers. Today I called to lock in a date for completion. Donna informed me that he still had three wheelchairs. She told me that she could give me no date. I asked if mid October would be possible and she said maybe but she didn't know. She also told me that they had done 10-12 chairs since my deposit. What? She then tells me that if someone needs a chair and they feel they need it before others they will bump them up! What was my deposit for again??? She said that they have two builds coming up that they might bump up. But not in front of me " because of this issue". I want a business to appreciate my hard earned cash. Some people have to take loans or start Go Fund me pages just to get a chair. But if you have the money (5 X's) or if they feel someone is more in need they will bump you with out notice. Donna said "we don't have time to notify people". So today I made the hard choice and it didn't come easy, to request a refund. To make me feel as if my credibility is on the line was beyond the point of no return. To tell me that you told me 6 months for the build when the invoice stated other wise (June 1 2017) and even Sean stated nothing to the contrary in any of his text to me. The chair I have is aesthetically pleasing and very solid. I'd give them a 5 star for my chair. But they deserve the 2 for their recent customer service.
