I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. I scheduled an appointment six…read moremonths in advance specifically for a teeth cleaning, which I clearly stated at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment would last two hours and include X-rays and mouth photos--none of which were mentioned beforehand. When I explained that I only wanted a cleaning, the hygienist consulted with Dr. Khanani, who then informed me that these additional procedures were a requirement--not for insurance purposes, but was their office procedure. While I agreed to the X-rays, I declined the mouth photos, as I was only interested in a cleaning at that time. When I asked why these procedures were mandatory, Dr. Khanani responded that they "build trust." I expressed my frustration that this policy was not disclosed when I scheduled my appointment. Rather than accommodating my request for just a cleaning with X-rays, I was asked to leave. Because I didn't want photos taken? If you value transparency and patient-centered care, I would not recommend this office. Their priorities seem to lie more in what they can bill to insurance rather than in meeting patients' individual needs.

This is an extremely well run dental office, and a new facility which is only a few years old. The…read morewaiting room is comfortable, even though I rarely wait more than a few minutes. The staff is friendly and professional. But one of the biggest perks of using this dental practice is their laser drilling. I've only needed work on one tooth over the last 10 years I've been using Dr. Shustak, and he performed that procedure with a laser. That meant no pain, no injection and no Novocain numbness!

I had just been to another dental clinic in Leominster, where I was seen by a young dentist who spent more time looking at x-rays of my teeth than actually looking in my mouth, then told me I needed 4 teeth extracted immediately, or I might risk the chance of sepsis from an infection in one of the teeth. I went to Dr. Cronin for a second opinion. He listened to my story of what had happened, looked at the same set of x-rays and examined my mouth, telling me that, "Yes, some of these teeth may need to come out, but not now." We proceeded on that basis. Some of those teeth have had to come out, but both the process and the cost were far more agreeable. And speaking of agreeable, Dr. Cronin is simply a very nice guy. Dr. Cronin now is semi-retired and I am seen by Dr. Dani, who is probably the most relaxed dentist I've ever seen. At the end of my first session with him, we fist-bumped--it came out of nowhere, feeling completely natural. Both Dr. Dani and Dr. Cronin actually listen to a patient and try to do what a patient wants; and the cost is reasonable. I do not have dental insurance and they lower the cost accordingly.
