purchased a used vehicle from this location on May 2025! I thought everything was fine except the check engine light was on! I called this location the next day and was told that I had to come in on May 27th! I told them multiple times before this date and on this date that this check engine light has been on! I was promised a full diagnostic would be performed! I get the car later that date, the check engine light was still on! Normally, when something is wrong because of a business's mistake and I complain, I'm either banned or given the runaround! Now, earlier this month, the car is completely shut down! I'm not paying a dime on this car payment until this is taken care of! When I came and picked up my car, I was told it was parked across the street! The biggest mistake you can make purchasing from this company. their cars are not passing emissions test and they are lying to people when they want to return the vehicle. if you buy a car from them and by the time you get it home lights come on please do not let them fix it just straight up ask for your money back. they will try to wait you out of your 30 day warrant. I recommend you buy a car flat out instead of them any where but them. the same ppl that you buy from is the same ppl who fix the cars but the finance company is in another name. it's step up to get over on you. Do not do business with these people, carvana, or any other companies other than an original dealership. I purchased a Nissan vehicle and it broke down a year afterwards just two months after the warranty was expired. Nissan vehicles are horrible all by themselves as well, so when you shop somewhere else, not here, do not get a Nissan either. Now there's a recall on Nissan transmissions and those mfs lied to me and said that my car was not covered, even though the transmission went out around the same time i hear about the lawsuit. Then, the btch, Veronica, my account manager from Easy acceptance, dont accept loan from them, they associated with Carfect. She was always rude as sht. I kept telling them that my paycheck date had changed and they refused to change the due date for the second payment, so of course the second payment was always late and they loved charging late fees. Then, easy Acceptance/Carfect will put your payment towards their stupid interest and not your actual car payment so your balance is not decreasing. These are some sneaky a$$ companies and I'm about to get on every one of their a$$e$$ , because I'm tired of these white mfs and Mexicans think that they can run over people, and it's some black ones out there to. They are now Carfect! Had to change their name cause they are so shady. This place is absolutely horrible. They sold my boyfriend a car and couldn't produce the inspection report and from the second he drove it off the lot he was riddled with issues. When he reached out to inform them they couldn't produce the inspection report and told him he had to bring it back but it would be there from 10-14 days which wasn't possible. After a recent visit to try to trade in we were told he needed to give these shady people another 5k for a non working car to trade in. Then I asked them to buy it back. Liz told me no and that if he turned it back in it would count as a repo. They take advantage of people and don't offer solutions for their mistakes. I hate that I have to do this but this place in Waukegan IL is the worse not only have they sold a lemon this is the 2nd car they put me in. They refuse to provide a signed contract which I know they don't have because the contract that was signed was for the 1st car not the 2nd one. Its fine. But so now my transmission is out. if you know cars at all, you know your transmission and your engine are the two things that make the car. The primary functions you need in order to even drive. Everything else is fixable. My thing is-- If I don't pay my car note you all are going to turn the vehicle off. Well because the transmission is out... I cant drive the vehicle ANYWAY. I called them with the intention of having them work with me on the repairs. I planned on paying my note like I have been doing for nearly a year. They qouted me a price of nearly $2,000 (NOTE INCLUDED). I said okay... maybe we can work something out. The only thing they did or said they could do is pay for my towing fee of getting the car services and the inspection fee. Other than that I was at liberty to pay $2,000. ARE YOU FREAK'N SERIOUS?!?! At this point the car is only worth $2,000. I paid $800 for tires as is. I paid $4,000 into the note as is. My total balance on the car is only $6,000. I'm not going to set my self back months, and pay $2,000 on the car-- totaling to $8,800 (nearly $9,000-tires included) with a full balance thats only $6,000. So essentially I'll be paying or have been paying almost $12,000. When thats no where near what I have signed contract for paying. And to be honest now that the transmission is out, the car is worth $500 now. So as oppose to them working with me, getting their monthly installment and me paying $6,000 over time like I have been, they can keep that piece of shit car, fix the transmission for FREE and try to sale it again! $4,800 down the drain!!! I wish I could give this place zero stars. Four years ago, I was getting back on my feet financially and wanted to buy a car to replace the one I wore out. I saw an ad for what I thought was a reasonably priced used car online that this place was offering, so I called, told them I was coming, and made a visit. The car they advertised wasn't there, but they had another, similar but more expensive one available. I decided to buy it. Every stereotype about used car salesman tactics was on display that day - the long wait in an overheated office, the slimy attempts to build rapport, the high-pressure "let me talk to my manager" negociaton over price. Once I bought the car, I tired to call and ask some questions about the paperwork, but I could never get anyone to call me back. After a few months I gave up trying to talk to anyone there. They wanted nothing to do with me other than collecting my payments, which I made on time and in full. I paid $8,500 for the car, and I've just calculated that as of now (four years after purchase) I've paid out over $9,000 in repairs and maintenance. Every year something major has to be replaced or fixed. As soon as I collect a little more cash, I'm getting rid of this car (it's going straight to the scrap yard) and buying something else, this time from someplace with a reputation. I'm not a car buying expert, and I admit I should have known about these "Buy Here, Pay Here" joints, but the next time I do buy one I'll have this experience as a valuable lesson. Do not...repeat, DO NOT...buy a car from this place. They bait-and-switch you with their ads and dress up old cars so they're just good enough not to be lemons. Once you sign the papers, they're done with you beyond making sure you send in your payments. And you will be stuck with massive repair bills down the road. This has to be the worst dealership out there. Management is very poor. I was sold a 2010 ford fusion hybrid which broke down less than a year after due to the hybrid battery. They were no help what so ever. I end up paying $14,000 with interest in a car I can't even drive. They are scam artists and take advantage of people with little credit and bleed them dry. I kept getting the run around dealing with them so I just gave up and continued to pay so my credit isn't affected. I walked into this business because of two things: (1) They had the Honda CRV I wanted at a really decent price and (2) They say your job is your credit - no credit checks. (I have spotty credit so this sounded perfect.) For starters, they advertise vehicles online they either never had or already sold, and once you're there they bait and switch you for a similar vehicle at twice the price of the online advertised vehicle. Also, unlike other car lots, they make you go through financing *before* you even make a final decision or test drive a vehicle. And what of this financing, you ask? They ran our credit, went line by line on our credit report asking about 5-10 year old delinquencies (some of which clearly said paid in full right on the credit report) and THEN made us sign a release giving them permission to run the report they'd already generated. They sit and berate you for 1-2 hours and say much later that "they're going to barely be able to finance you, but they'll need a lot down." Mind you, they say all you need is $500 down for any vehicle on signs and stickers all over their lot - but they said they'd need a minimum of $1500 ($1000 cash and $500 for my trade in) just to get started. On top of this, we went in for a specific Honda CRV that they said they no longer had, and then proceeded to make us test drive a newer model for $5000 more than the model we came to view. On the way over to view that newer model, we saw *the model we came originally to see* sitting on the lot. They swore up and down it wasn't the same one, that it had engine problems (despite it sitting on the sales lot ready to sell), etc. At the end of the nearly four hour ordeal, we walked. We stopped by their sister lot to see the other CRV one last time and surprise, it was on the lot ready for sale (and then posted online again within thirty minutes of us leaving the lot). I normally do not do this but I fell like I should. I brought a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta from these guys. They guaranteed that they look at the car and maintenance the vehicle as needed which is fine. But after driving the car 4,000 miles I figure it was time to check the brakes. To my surprise the rear brake pads was 0/32 on one side and about 1/32 on the other. I called them to ask if I can reimburse for my inconvenience for having to pay a shop to replace brakes that should be in fair condition. They told me that they can not help me because the brakes was ok when I brought the car and since I test drove the vehicle and didn't complain about the brakes it was completely up to me to replace them. I have a AAS in automotive technology and Im a diesel mechanic for ups freight. I know that the claim was bogus, but the fact that they thought it was ok to BS me so they wouldn't have to take responsibility for there negligence is disturbing. read more

Sooooooo disappointed! I spent most of the week of communicating with a young lady over the phone about a VW Beetle listed on their site. When I pushed for additional photos before coming down to see it in person, I was emailed pics of newer VW in a completely different color. When I inquired about the red one I was looking at on the web, I was told that it was "Out on a 24 hour test drive." . . . Who does that? I drove an hour in traffic after work just to check out the lot anyway only to learn that they didn't have nearly the amount of cars listed on their site. The 3600 location had maybe 30 cars (at best). I drove by the 2600 lot on my back south and saw maybe 10 cars. Nice people, I suppose. But such a waste of time! read more

It felt more like a stroll in the park than any of the other dealers. Any thoughts I felt confused about I asked questions on and was answered knowledgeably. Was in and out with a car in less then one hour and didn't feel a little pressure from any of the guys I was working with , usually I hate to shop for cars but what a different and great experience I had in The Auto warehouse! Never, and I mean never do business with the Auto Warehouse. I purchased a Chevy Equinox on May 15th 2021. The sales lot also has a repair shop attached, so I asked, before I purchased the vehicle, if there is anything I should be aware of that might go wrong in the first few months, they checked it out before I purchased and told me no, the car is in great working condition.. On May 28th (13 days later) the check engine light came on. I brought it to them, and they told me I had to wait a few days until they could get around to checking it out. Luckily, or so I thought, it was still under the one month warranty. They told me they had to replace the tensioner, pump, pipe, guides, chain, code, oil filter, timing chain kit, tmg cover set, and valve cover.  I just bought the car a week ago it is already in the shop. Now I'm not only making payments on the car but paying for ubers. They "fixed" all the above parts but also lost my key. Took days to get a replacement and I did not get my car back until the 8th of June (eleven days). After only driving the car for a week. Best believe they expect their payments on time though, always, no matter what. (in October my debit card expired and I forgot to switch my information for payment to my new debit card, they called me ONE time, didn't even leave a voicemail or email, before they shut my car off and made it undrivable until I made payment, which I promptly did once I found out what the issue was. Every single other payment has been on time, no problem.) Before I figured out why my car wasn't turning on I was just stranded at work trying to figure out why my car wouldn't turn on and missed a very important family event Five months and 6000 miles later, the check engine light came on. Another mechanic shop told me all the parts the auto warehouse claimed they "fixed" needed to be replaced again. But now on top of those issues, I need whole new engine, the car will not start . My sparkplugs were all carbon, autoware house should of replaced those when i brought it in when I was still under warranty, very visible and easy to see.  I brought it back to autoware house and they said the same thing, new engine. They want me to pay this out of my pocket. The autoware house did not fix these issues the first time but just made it so the car made it past warranty. This is criminal, and can ruin me financially. I just now am getting my life back on track, and now I am, again, making payments on a car I cannot drive, I only purchased five months ago, and now also need a whole new engine, which they want me to pay for. They simply tell me they only guarantee their repairs to last 3000 miles before they are no longer responsible. (That is as crooked of a  thing to say to a customer as I've ever heard)  I had to pay for multiple tow trucks, because the car is not drivable, and now I'm making payments on the car, and the auto ware house keeps sending me back and forth to Daniel the mechanic manager to Jimmy, the sales floor manager (who I will say was kind to me but said he can only tell me what his bosses tell him to do, but I could not find any way to contact or get in contact with his bosses) , every single phone person I talked to was not being helpful AT ALL. Again, please note, every single person I talked to in store and on the phone were very very very un-kind to me, and was not helpful, and did not care. They kept bouncing me back to financial services, who all they could do is tell me I could make payments for the engine, to Jimmy who told me they want him to say if I give them $3000 down I can trade in for a new car. SO EITHER I PAY A BUNCH OF MONEY FOR A NEW ENGINE, PAY A BUNCH OF MONEY TO GET A REPLACEMENT, OR STOP PAYING AND MY CREDIT SCORE SINKS, NO RESPONSIBILITY ON THEIR END. Please do not do business with them, please tell your friends and family to not do business with them. They're criminal and just want all the money. Without care of honesty, quality, customer service, literally all the things they said they are proud of on their website. They prey on people with bad credit, to keep us down, and they back us in a corner. I finally was getting back on track, increasing my credit, making payments on time, and now this is dramatically decreasing my financial, professional, and personal quality of living. I called The Auto Warehouse to inquire about the listed prices of two vehicles (the dealership does not list prices online) and spoke with a secretary by the name of Angel. The first thing she asked me was whether I was "able to come up with the $500.00 down payment," to which I replied, "I am curious why that is the first thing you would ask me." When I politely told her that I decline to answer the question and asked her to transfer me to a sales associate, she hung up on me. I immediately called back the dealership and spoke with another secretary by the name of Lindsey. When I related to her what Angel had done, she apologized and asked for my contact information, telling me that no one was available to take my call and answer my question about vehicle pricing. I then asked to speak with either a manager or supervisor, but she told me that she is the only person at the "dealership" and that she did not have the ability to transfer me to someone who could answer my questions. I then asked her for the name(s) and telephone number(s) of her manager and/or supervisor, but she told me that she cannot give out that information. At this point, I was completely fed up and told her that I cannot believe that a dealership is as dishonest and dysfunctional as theirs is, and that I hope they do not sucker any more unsuspecting buyers out of their money. I wanted to inform you I have contacted the Secretary of  State regarding the handling of my account. I was injured in a car accident by a driver that was underinsured.in April 2016 My insurance company settled the account once you released the title to the insurance company. I do want to inform you that I have all the correspondence from Celia, My Insurance, Jessica, and Carlos dating all the way back April 21, 2016 from the beginning of this incident. Was very disappointed when we visited this place last week. I explained my whole situation (trade in, income, fair credit) on the phone before I came in and was told no problem, come in. On their website it states bad credit OK, minimum requirement is $500 down-payment or equivalent. The woman helping us was very nice but it seemed like they were shorthanded and the initial paperwork took an hour! I looked at the trade in value of my car beforehand and it is around $900. They had the nerve to only offer me $160 for my car and ask for $1000 down because they said my credit was too bad. 589 is by no means good but it's not horrible. $1000 down and $175 every two weeks is ridiculous for the older models that they have and they don't have many to choose from. read more

Would Not recommend them. They lie and don't explain all the details of the contract sale until it's too late. It took 4 hours to get the contract signed and it was after 10PM and I was exhausted. Their contract is 20 pages long. After I purchased the car I discovered my rear rim was defective and dangerous and I brought it to their attention and they basically said tough. The new rim was $68.00 so instead of providing good service they lost a repeat customer. read more

So this place just pissed me the fuck off. I understood that this place was one of those "buy here, pay here" dealerships and my next car needs to be leased at a place like this because I'm currently in a chapter 13 and got my previous car repoed. So when my co worker told me about this place I was excited of chances of getting another car. I went to their website and applied to be "pre approved." A few hours later I called in and asked the status of my application. The lady told me I'm approved and only needed to bring $500 as long as I'm not in an active bankruptcy. I told her I am, but it says on ya'll website that you work with people who are in a chapter 13, I just need to get authorization from my trustee (Hertz auto sales were willing to work with me before and told me the same thing). The lady proceeds to tell me yes, however we can't work with you unless your bankruptcy is discharged. WTF...then WHY DOES IT SAY ON YA'LL WEBSITE that if my bankruptcy hasn't been fully discharged, I may need authorization from my trustee. I don't know if it's just me, but that is very misleading info on their website.
