2016 Jeep Wrangler
Jeff W.

My wife and I purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler from Auto Boutique and greatly appreciated Zak's insights and knowledge throughout the sales prrocess. We searched the internet and looked for 3 weeks at Wrangler's across the Chicagoland area and Southern Wisconsin, and eventually found this vehicle and Auto Boutique in an advertisement on CarGurus which brought us there. Post purchase, we are so thrilled with our purchase and their customer support. We had an oil change completed and the Jeep received a 5-star rating that aligned to what Zak and his team told us during the purchase process - which was the Jeep was in excellent condition. I would give Zak and his team a strong 5-Star Rating and bonus points for when we picked up the Jeep at cLosing time; they were extremely patient as my wife decorated the vehicle for our boys.

I went to Auto Boutique Chicago for a complimentary multipoint inspection and hand wash I discovered via an eye-catching flyer. While not in the market for a luxury European automobile myself, the casual yet classy environment tempted me into at least browsing.  Auto Boutique Chicago has a very nice selection of luxury and high performance European cars - of note was a super sharp 2002 Porsche 911 sitting in the driveway of the service department and a number of well seasoned AUDIs, in like-new condition. Seriously makes me wish I had the type of bankroll to justify driving one of these beauties! The owner, Zak, was very knowledgeable and approachable, I learned a little bit about my car without feeling like I was being "sold." I really appreciate a salesman who doesn't pressure a sale. The service coordinator, Adam checked me in efficiently, and within minutes of pulling up, my car was on one of the three lifts in their clean, spacious and well-lit service area. While I wouldn't know what my rack and pinion looked like if you dropped it on my foot, I can tell by Zak's RV sized toolbox that these guys are not your average greasy Joe mechanics. The wait wasn't terribly long, but it wasn't what I would consider a "quickie" either, which I find comforting, because I know they really took their time to inspect EVERYTHING. Meanwhile, I relaxed in a comfortable leather swivel chair and watched a little cable TV on the big screen in the waiting room, NICE! Lucky for me, my car was in decent shape, though Zak did point out a few minor leaks that don't require immediate attention - again, I appreciate a mechanic who will give it to me straight and not try fool me into spending a ton of money unnecessarily. This quality alone would bring me back if and when I do need service on my car. And the cherry on top... Not only did I get a complimentary hand wash, but they even vacuumed the inside of my car; completely unexpected! I am glad I took the time to visit Auto Boutique Chicago, even though I didn't drive out in a Porche, I did drive away feeling like I had been given the same level of care I would have gotten at a Porsche dealership and I certainly feel snazzy in my own nice, clean car.

This is the type of work these guys do

Derek gave me a fair deal for my beloved BMW, but more importantly, at 9 months pregnant, made the process very easy and efficient. I'm appreciative and would definitely recommend Auto Warehouse to anyone looking for a great used car

I've owned a lot of cars over the years--from BMWs to 300Zs--and after driving the Subaru Crosstrek for nearly a decade now, I can confidently say it stands in a league of its own. It's the perfect balance of size, shape, practicality, and everyday performance. I was never chasing high performance--I wanted something reliable, comfortable, and capable in all conditions--and the Crosstrek has consistently delivered, whether I'm navigating city streets, cruising the highway, or taking on backroads. Berman has been my go-to dealership from the very beginning, and for good reason. The team is always professional, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. Pricing is very fair, the process is smooth, and their service department has been consistently excellent over the years. A big shoutout to Daniel Szontagh--he made this latest experience just as seamless as the others. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest help and great communication. I recently traded up to the Crosstrek Hybrid, and even after just a few days, all I can say is: wow. The previous models were great handlers, but this one takes it to another level. It feels incredibly smooth, connected to the road, and surprisingly comfortable--even over Chicago potholes. It's refined without losing that fun, capable feel that makes the Crosstrek so enjoyable to drive. If you're in the market for a Subaru--or even a quality used car--do yourself a favor and check out Berman Subaru. And if you can, ask for Daniel. You'll be in good hands.

The team greeted me and got me checked in super seamlessly. They let me know it would take about 2 hours for the installation and then showed me to the waiting room. There are two spaces, one bigger one with tables and chairs, and the other with some desk space. I was able to camp out at one of the desks to get some work done while they worked on my car. There is wifi (not the best so I tethered to my phone) and coffee available. Before I knew it the 2 hours was up and my car was good to go! They even gave it a quick wash while it was back there (even though we got it fully serviced and detailed about a month ago). The team is awesome and super responsive. Since it's also the dealership, there were able to do multiple services free of charge (including the new stereo!) They do a great job of building relationships with their clients to keep them coming back. We've been bringing our Forrester here since 2017 and will continue to do so.

I always…read morethought they provided good service at a premium price (being a dealer in the center of the city, I expected and was happy to pay the additional premium for the convenience.) Right after they switched to the Murgado brand, I brought my Ford Escape in for an oil change back in January of this year. I noticed immediately after the oil change that the plastic tray that covers the bottom of the engine would fall off and drag on the road. I bought some additional screws and that held me over until the cover continued to lose the screws and detach and today I asked them to fix it when I came in for my scheduled oil change. Parallel to this, I asked them to check a seatbelt in the rear that wouldn't retract. They said it'd be $280 for the diagnosis and the majority of the time, they can fix it. Okay. They have my car all day and tell me I have 45 minutes to come pick it up because they close at 6 unless I want to wait until tomorrow. They said it'd be $1200 to replace the seatbelt (they couldn't fix it) and $600 to replace the bottom cover. I denied both. I talked to my service advisor, David and explained that they caused the issue with the bottom cover and he lied to me and said they didn't need to remove the cover for an oil change. He also said they couldn't cut the part hanging off because it was covering a key part of the engine protecting it which also ended up being false. They also charged me $30 to put new screws in without fixing the problem. When I arrived and complained to the manager, they did nothing to fix the issue (saying the car was "old") and still charged me $440 for the oil change, 3 screws and seatbelt diagnosis Oh, and did I mention when I looked at the bottom and did a small minor tug, one of the screws came right out. I also disassembled the back seatbelt myself, and I fixed it within 2 minutes of messing with it. I'll never be back. UPDATE: I took the cover off the broken seatbelt and messed with it for 5 minutes and was able to fix it. I asked the service manager for a refund for the $280 and they said they'd send me a check. 20 days later, I never got the check, so enjoy the chargeback on my credit card. STAY AWAY!

I can't say enough great things about Avondale Auto Repair, Nathan, Rick and their staff…read more As a first-time customer, I came in with what I thought was a simple issue--my 2017 Toyota RAV4 key fob suddenly stopped working. I'd replaced the battery before, so I tried that again... nothing. My (very mechanically inclined) husband tried too--still nothing. That kicked off the search for a replacement, and wow--what a frustrating experience. The dealership quoted me $600 to replace and program a new key. Automotive locksmiths were all over the place--$180, $250--and the whole process felt vague and transactional, like you couldn't get a straight answer without jumping through hoops. Then I found Avondale Auto Repair through the Costco Auto Program--and everything changed. Rick answered the phone, and within seconds I felt reassured. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. Instead of trying to sell me something, he explained the pros and cons--how aftermarket keys often don't last, and how they source directly from the dealer but can usually save customers about $100. No pressure. Just real, helpful information. When I came in, that same feeling continued. The shop itself is clean, bright, and welcoming--nothing like the typical auto repair environment. Nathan (Rick's brother-in-law) was at the front desk and immediately made us feel comfortable. Friendly, genuine, and incredibly helpful. Before recommending anything, he opened up my key and inspected it to confirm it wasn't just a battery issue. That alone told me everything--I wasn't being upsold. They were actually trying to help. Then Rick came back from lunch and did the same thing again, just to double check. I paid a deposit and they said they'd call once they got the key from the dealership. It took a few days. Even though they were short-staffed they week of my FOB order, Nathan handled everything with professionalism and kindness. He called three different dealerships to track down my key (since it was out of stock everywhere), coordinated the order, and made the whole process seamless. When I came back to drop off my car, even the staff helping me park were warm and courteous--it's those small touches that really stand out. We used to have a go-to repair shop nearby, but after a change in ownership, it just hasn't been the same. Now, we've found our new place. Avondale Auto Repair didn't just fix a problem--they earned our trust. And that's everything. That's how you do it, Nathan and Rick!
