I've been coming to Fox Ford Lincoln for years since moving to the city back in 2014. I always thought they provided good service at a premium price (being a dealer in the center of the city, I expected and was happy to pay the additional premium for the convenience.) Right after they switched to the Murgado brand, I brought my Ford Escape in for an oil change back in January of this year. I noticed immediately after the oil change that the plastic tray that covers the bottom of the engine would fall off and drag on the road. I bought some additional screws and that held me over until the cover continued to lose the screws and detach and today I asked them to fix it when I came in for my scheduled oil change. Parallel to this, I asked them to check a seatbelt in the rear that wouldn't retract. They said it'd be $280 for the diagnosis and the majority of the time, they can fix it. Okay. They have my car all day and tell me I have 45 minutes to come pick it up because they close at 6 unless I want to wait until tomorrow. They said it'd be $1200 to replace the seatbelt (they couldn't fix it) and $600 to replace the bottom cover. I denied both. I talked to my service advisor, David and explained that they caused the issue with the bottom cover and he lied to me and said they didn't need to remove the cover for an oil change. He also said they couldn't cut the part hanging off because it was covering a key part of the engine protecting it which also ended up being false. They also charged me $30 to put new screws in without fixing the problem. When I arrived and complained to the manager, they did nothing to fix the issue (saying the car was "old") and still charged me $440 for the oil change, 3 screws and seatbelt diagnosis Oh, and did I mention when I looked at the bottom and did a small minor tug, one of the screws came right out. I also disassembled the back seatbelt myself, and I fixed it within 2 minutes of messing with it. I'll never be back. UPDATE: I took the cover off the broken seatbelt and messed with it for 5 minutes and was able to fix it. I asked the service manager for a refund for the $280 and they said they'd send me a check. 20 days later, I never got the check, so enjoy the chargeback on my credit card. STAY AWAY! read more

The last two times, what appears to be the service manager, has less than average customer service. It's bad enough I may consider looking at service at another location and will think twice about purchasing another vehicle at this location. I feel bad for the employees and any patrons she comes into contact with her during service. Otherwise, the service performed was met my needs and was timely. read more

People here are super nice and friendly. Never had an issue with employees. Place is kept clean and seems to have a decent selection. Just the service department is so freaking. Why even make an appointment for an oil change if it's going to take 2 hours. My wife waited over 3 hours before. They never told her it was done when they knew she was waiting. Going to to pick up car at 5:00 I dropped off at 9:00 for a basic job. Again super nice, just SUPER slow at any work. If you complain they move quicker, so they are capable of they won't to be. read more

Fox Ford Lincoln - My new Lincoln - Car Dealers Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place is now under new management and is called Murgado Ford. I called this place today inquiring about an electric Ford Mustang they had in stock only to find out to my shock that this place does not in any way shape or form apply the $4,000 federal tax credit for used electric vehicles to the price of such vehicles. I understand an outfit needs to be registered with the IRS to do this, but why this franchise for one of the largest vehicle makes that on top of that does have electric vehicles as part of its lineup did not bother to do it in the middle of downtown Chicago is a mystery to me. Moreover, since I decided not to waste my time going there if they cannot put this credit towards the final price of the vehicle, I received a text message from them asking if I was going to keep my appointment. When I said no, lo and behold whoever was managing the text messaging service claimed that the vehicle will sold mere minutes ago. Weird but okay. When I said I wasn't going to go there anyway because of the lack of their ability to apply to $4,000 credit towards the price of the vehicle this person claimed that only the buyer can deduct this amount from their taxes and the dealerships cannot do it in any way shape or form, which is absolutely not true. This person also claimed patently false of course that these credits are being phased out on July the 30th which is not true because they are being phased out on September 30th. The conversation ended when I sent them links to the IRS website and to major news outlet reports stating when the credits would be phased out, telling them to either educate themselves or stop lying consciously. If this is the kind of shady and haphazard shambles of a place that it appears just based on these communications, I advise you to stay away. read more

So far so good ! Did my first service with them today, did my car coating with them dropped off the car nice and easy! Bonus they vacuumed my car which I find as a nice gesture (usually other dealerships don't do ). The only thing I would say is they didn't have any loaner vehicles which if you need a car for that day I would ask before dropping off vehicle glad I didn't need it. This is an update to my review on 4-16-24 These guys are the best! When I purchased the vehicle The "government fee" on the contract was more than had been explained to me. I almost gave up on the sale but decided a few hundred dollars wasn't worth starting over with my search for a vehicle I liked. Instead I just chalked it up to buying a car in Chicago and figured it was an additional fee the city charged. Fast forward to today. When today's mail came I was surprised to find a check from Fox Ford repaying me the amount they'd over collected. That shows the level of integrity this dealer has. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER AND MEET WITH SERVICE Met with advisor BORIS KOTESKY . Stay away from BORIS KOTESKY. Before I go in depth, Some insight about Boris. He is a very uneasy person to talk to. He was talking over me the entire time. A little hostile nonetheless, but I guess that's his low character . Came in to get a diagnosis on my f150 2015 as I suspected a turbo leak. I asked him to please diagnose the drive train of the car as I believe it was a turbo leak, something with the 4x4 system malfunctioning, and a service engine light. Boris tells me he will diagnose the car and let me know when it is ready to pickup. When I am told the car is ready and go to receive it, Boris has pinned 3 diagnostic charges for the one diagnostic agreed upon. A simple diagnosis that should have been $165 resulted in 3x that at more than $500. Keep in mind, none of the diagnostics required any engine or transmission tear down. Just a simple scan and observation of the mechanics. HE NEVER MENTIONED BEING CHARGED FOR 3 diagnostics. . I have been to other dealers ford dealers and never had this issue or something this bad . I have had service people try to get me to do unnecessary things, but never go ahead and pin charges we didn't agree on And to top it off, Boris had added many BS replacement items such as a turbo core just to name one to the estimate to rack up a higher price . When confronted about it, he said " oh you don't pay for that we remove it". Yeah I'm sure you would have removed it although it's literally on the estimate you were urging me to pay for . He also upcharged a shifter motor for the 4x4 which is $250 part to $358. Which keep in mind THEY SELL AT $250 . And no The $358 is not including labor it's just that part they sell for $250. Obviously that's him him up charging for his commission. Moral of the story don't go here. They will pin charges on without letting you know and make BS estimates to rack up a big bill. And if you confront them about it, they will get hostile . Not very professional , they probably need an HR person too . I was going to buy a $250 part here I need for my 4x4 system, but I would rather drive across town to another dealer just to not give this fool or business my money. Remember, stay away from Boris and this dealer and if you get played it's on you after reading this review. Go to somewhere like Ziegler, much better service and truth to what they do. Chappy's my guy! I hate hate hate buying new cars. But Chappy made this experience the most unbelievably easy pleasant experience I have ever had buying a car in my life. He brought the car to me to test drive. He kept the usual "car salesman chatter" to a minimum, and answered all my questions without trying to oversell me. And when I had to go into the dealer to sign all the paperwork I was in and out in less than an hour. He has answered all the questions I have about my new car and I just love it so much. I think I will only buy cars from Chappy going forward. Actually, everyone at the dealership was super awesome. BESIDES the fact that Ford make HORRIBLE engines, Please google why Ford is currently in a class action lawsuit to everyone they sold lemons too. They sell Lemons, because their 2.0L Ecoboost Vehicles are prone to fail, causing Antifreeze to shoot into Cylinders. If you know anything about cars, that requires an entire engine change which is about 3k for a new engine, and 3k for labor. Now my best friend from the Marines, had a FORD FUSION, when this recently happened to my Lincoln I started a group chat with him and another Marine. I ask how his Ford Fusion was doing. (He bought the Ford when we where in the Marine Corps, maybe around 2019) His FORD FUSION engine had Coolant Spilling into his engine as well! As Well as his dads old Ford Escape many years ago. This is a COMMON issue, and very Disrespectful that Ford is out here Selling Lemons to Veterans and people, but claiming they are Veteran Friendly Company. That False Advertisement, Ford is a Billion Dollar Company and they don't give a F**K about Us little people. As For Fox Ford Lincoln, Ive worked with numerous staff there, and most are friendly. (Until you spend your money!) But when it comes to the Lincoln Service Department. It is almost NONEXISTENT. The only way to get Service is to go in person, and they get overpriced for basic Maintenance, if you try to call they never answer. There's never anyone there to actually represent their Service Department, and it will be a constant Pain in the a** if you need anything done in service. I Love America, that's why i served my country, I was a Sergeant (E5) and it's embarrassing to see what its become. People don't care about their job, and FORD is not a good company anymore, i highly recommend Buying ANYTHING but FORD, Im currently stuck with a Beautiful Lincoln Lemon, with no one willing to help. 29k in debt, I will be getting a Toyota. My wife bought a new Mustang EV car here last year. She was told she can get a tax deduction but the details were vague. When we went to do our taxes we were told we had to apply for the State credit within 90 days of purchase. Now it's too late and we are out a $4k credit. These people should know the specifics and advise buyers on their options. read more

My biggest problem was communication with the service dept. It took several calls in 3 days to make an appointment, and I was transferred multiple times in those 3 days. I finally received a call back on day 4. When I explained what my car problem, they offered to pick up my car (which they have always done). When they pick up our car, it is usually an All Day thing. So I asked if they had any loaner cars. They told me I would need to schedule 2-3 months in advance...which I found odd, and quite frankly, unbelievable. But they scheduled a pickup day/time. The day before the pickup, I called multiple times to confirm, but this time no one ever answered. So I waited until the morning of the pickup, and tried calling several times and still no response. Finally I called the "sales" side and someone answered. I told them that I just wanted to confirm the pickup, and they transferred me to neverland. Eventually I was able to reach someone, who told me that I was scheduled to bring the car in, which wasn't true. Rather than keep this story going too long, I will say...Long story short. The picked up the car 2 hours later than expected, but the service from that point was all uphill and wonderful. But the getting in touch with the service advisors to even discuss the issue, has been impossible since the new owners too control. I came into the dealership to update the Sync system on my Focus ST 2018 from version 3.0 to 3.4. I have seen this done by many people on YouTube where the procedure is carefully documented. 3.4 has some cool featured including new fonts and colors as well as climate control via touch. Well... I paid $195 and was only given a minor incremental upgrade, leaving the dealership with version 3.0 still. Needless to say I didn't get what I came for and asked for. The agent said I had been updated to the newest version but clearly doesn't understand the system fully. It makes me sad but I will attempt the upgrade myself now as clearly they don't want to do it. Dealer phoned and explained the only way I can update my Sync is to go to site such as https://cyanlabs.net/ . This method should work however is unsupported by Ford. I am going to give it a try this week and hope I don't brick my Sync! read more

I came in and was looking at cars to purchase in my budget. I wasn't ready to commit to purchasing just shopping around and getting an idea what kind of car I wanted to purchase. I explained to the sales person that I wasn't ready to have my credit ran just shopping. The sales person ran my credit anyway even though he told me he wasn't going to run my credit, he just wanted my drivers license and some information. I didn't even purchase a car. I ended up disputing the hard Inquiry and having it removed. I felt that the experience was less than honest and it felt very slick. By far one of the worst service department I have ever dealt with! I've called multiple times to get an update about my vehicle since it's been in their care for damn near 3months. Out of the 8weeks my car has been there I had to keep reaching out to them and no one has reached out and when they do it's weeks later. Very unprofessional. I called the lady that answered the phone said the guy was going to call back and I have not received a call back yet now today is Saturday and Of course they're Closed . I've been out of my car for 8weeks due to warranty problem and yet they still haven't tried to accommodate me to get a loaner or anything! Please do better Ford Service! Update: I call back Monday since no one has reached out to me when I called in on Friday. I spoke to Jose since he's the one who originally started the process with my car. When I first dropped my car off he called to tell me my transmission module went out and there were no ETA on when the part will arrive, the 2nd time I came in to get appraisal in my vehicle because having no ETA is ridiculous he then switches his Tory to tell me he ordered my part and that it'll arrive within 6-8weeks. Here we are at week number 8! Jose decided to go back to his first story telling me he doesn't know when the part will arrive because it's in back order and there other vehicles ahead of me and I'm number 30 on the list for the part... this is freaking ridiculous! Terrible experience with service & parts on multiple occasions over the years. Three strikes you're out! Done with Fox. Strike one: A few years back I took in my Fusion due to problems with the ABS. They misdiagnosed the problem and had to keep the car far longer than anticipated due to ordering additional parts & scheduling the work with the proper techs when they were available. After a week, I requested a loaner which they provided until the car was finally fixed. Price for the repair was all over the place. Once the actual problem was found, I got quotes from other dealers & repair shops so I could make sure I only paid for the parts & labor had it been properly diagnosed. They honored that price but the whole ordeal was a hassle. Strike Two: Ordered a part and scheduled an oil change. The parts clerk told me the part wouldn't arrive until the next day. Not a problem, I told them, as I wouldn't need the part until I came in for the oil change about a week later. So when I arrive a week later, in the morning to drop of my car for the oil change, the part's not there! They said they'd have it in the afternoon which they did. For me it wasn't a problem because I dropped the car off before work & returned after work to pick up the part and my car. Still, they dropped the ball. Strike Three: As mentioned above, dropped the car off at 8am before work for oil change and airbag recall (appointment was at 10). They said they'd be done by noon. Perfect. I'd swing by after work & pick it up. Nope! Work wasn't even done when I came in after work! Apparently, the app they use for check in is different from the app they use to generate repair orders and when you check in, that system triggers thr repair system to generate a RO which is needed for the techs to do the work. So when the tech checked me in for my appointment for some reason the RO was never generated. So... now I'm writing this on the bus because I don't have my car. They say they're gonna do the work first thing tomorrow & are giving me the oil change for free. We'll see if it's actually done. Appreciate the free oil change but it's too late. They can't seem to get anything right. Strike 3.5: I have told them numerous times to update my phone and address and I still don't think they have it right. Dude - if you're the GM reading this... your fixed ops is far from fixed! It's totally broken. Get your sh*t together! Also, my car is 10-yrs old. My husband and I brought our car in for an oil change. We had a nail in our tire. Right in the middle of the tread. They told us they couldn't repair it, and we would need to buy a new tire and replace all of the lug nuts because they were "swollen" all for a quote of $800. Needless to say, we got the tire repaired for $15 elsewhere at an honest place, and they didn't mention any issue with the lug nuts. Never going back here again! read more

I went in for a battery test to learn my battery was just fine and I was on my way in no time. Waste your time, make an appointment and only fix one recall when they tell you they can take care of all of them. Then perform an "inspection" which displays you need like 6k of overpriced work done. e.g. New Battery, install and reset $369, not including tax. lol. Go by one at costco for 99, toss it in, and after 24hrs of the car sitting it resets battery. Sucker born every minute. They fixed one recall out of three. Here's your 1 additional star for that.
