He was patient with my many changes and his team was efficient and courteous always. What a horrendous experience it has been dealing with Caribbean Blue Pools & Spas. My boyfriend and I bought a house last fall and first called Caribbean Blue Pools and Spas to come close the pool. This was our first pool, so we were inexperienced with the whole thing. For something like $600 they came and closed the pool. Yikes! That was more expensive than we anticipated, but we thought that must be the going rate. Lets fast forward to this past May when they were scheduled to come back and open the pool. They come on the set date, awesome, but can't open the pool because both of our pool pumps are blown. (Apparently if you don't drain enough water out of the pool it can get into the pumps and freeze, which blows the pumps. Clearly this was our fault, right?) They say they will call us with an estimate to replace the pumps. A week or two goes by and no word from them. My boyfriend calls and leaves a message for the woman that he had always spoken with there. Nothing. He calls again the following week. Nothing. Mind you, they made us pay for the pool opening in advance so you can imagine how angry this is making us. After several weeks of not hearing back from anyone we decide to order the pool pumps from somewhere else and ask a friend that used to work on pools if he will come put them in. Meanwhile, its been a month and all they had done initially was take the pool cover off, so this whole time we had to look at an icky pool filled with leaves and crap. Confused as to why we could't get in touch with anyone, I tell my boyfriend to call the office and ask for the woman, but give a different name when they ask who is calling. He does this and she immediately takes his phone call. When he tells her who he really is she says "Oh you were on the top of my list of people to call today!" Right..... At this point we have received the pumps and decide to have them come install them instead of our friend and finish opening the pool since we had already paid them to do it. They come install them and finish opening the pool. Now its at least half way through June and I've missed almost two months of using my pool. So annoying!! Anyway, not long after installing the pumps we notice a leak. To make this short, they came back 2-3 times to fix the same damn thing and never took responsibility for anything being their fault. What a freaking nightmare. We would NEVER ever ever ever deal with this company again and I hope this review spares you a lot of trouble and money. We recently called a different pool company to come close our pool this year. This is a pool company that has an excellent reputation and a 5 star customer service rating. Their rate for closing the pool? $350. Yeah, I'll take that any day, thanks. Oh, and did I mention that there was an article in the local paper about pool companies taking people's money to open their pools and then being completely MIA? Yeah, Caribbean Blue Pools and Spas was listed as one of them. Run from this company. read more

I too used Caribbean Blue Pools and Spas to put in a patio and I have to say it was not an easy/enjoyable experience at all. Their communication is HORRIBLE. We worked out a contract in the winter for them to begin in the spring. I had to contact them in the spring to see when they would begin (which makes me wonder if they would have even contacted me). They stated that they would begin on April 24th which was a Monday. The Friday before, a huge truck shows up at my house to begin work! Then on Monday (the 24th) when I planned to take a day off to be there for when they started, no one showed up. I contacted the Project Manager and she told me they got held up at another job! They then, after two days show up and begin work only to the digging. No one came back for a week, again stating they had to finish another project. When we ordered the pavers we wanted, we selected a gray color. When they installed the pavers (they completed half the patio) I realized they ordered and put down the wrong color paving stone! They then had to pull it all back up and reorder and relay what they had done. I should also note that when their supplier delivered the pavers, he drove the truck on my grass (in the front where work was not being done) and destroyed my sprinkler line and left a huge tire mark for me to fill with dirt and repair myself. They completed the patio in early May, but still need to fill the seepage tank and re pave part of the driveway as I agreed to in the contract. They did not fill the seepage tank until May 12th, again not letting me know when they were coming until I reached out to them. To this day (it is now June 2nd) I have not heard from them regarding completing the repaving of the driveway. I have all the emails to prove everything I am stating in my review. I will be fair and say the patio looks good, it was just a nightmare working with them to get to the finished product. Mark and Adrienne are very nice however, I would honestly think twice about using Caribbean Blue. UPDATE: I spoke with Mark and we had a very good conversation where we came to an understanding. We also came to a mutual solution and I thank Mark for his effort to make sure things were corrected. read more

Big Shout Out for Caribbean Blue, especially Pam, John and Adrienne! We had a problem with 150 pounds of sand being spit into the pool; John initially identified the problem. It took another pool company 2 weeks to fix (warranty issues), but as soon as it was fixed, John was there the next day to help get the sand out of the pool. Unfortunately we started building our pool with another company who ended up abandoning the project, stealing our money and leaving us with a big mess.
