I followed up by email twice telling him we want to MOVE FORWARD- no response. I never received financing options. I never received next steps. I never received the connection to the permit person or the appointment for someone to look at my house. We hired and paid a babysitter to drive 90 minutes and to beg a sales person to help us. It has now been 10 days and no response!

After we ordered a pool on a Sunday afternoon I knew something was wrong when the charge, which was originally showing as a pending on my Amex, all of a sudden wasn't there. But the charge for the skimmer was. I called Leslies in Nanuet where we bought the pool and spoke to Frank. He assured me that there were no problems and it was an IT problem. I specifically said please tell us now if we can't get a pool because pools are selling out all over the place. Again he assured us that we were getting the pool. Well the skimmer showed up but still didn't hear about a delivery date for the pool. Well after lots of back and forth only with me reaching out and Frank promising he'd check on the status for me which he never did. My husband had to go back to the store since Frank still wasn't returning my phone calls. Still no answers. I finally called another Leslies and told them the story. Then the GM called me back Ryan or Brian. No apologies from anyone after two weeks I heard I wasn't getting a pool and there was a glitch in the system and that it happens sometimes. Disgusting customer service all around. If they had just apologized in the first place I wouldn't have been so upset. Just returned the skimmer to the store and Frank tried to give us some halfhearted apology/reason why things happened this way. Unacceptable!!!

These guys make owning a pool what it should be ... a true luxury. I've had a few problems since taking over the house and the pool, and each time Crystal Clear has been responsive and professional. They have acid washed my pool, upgraded my filter, open and closed the pool, and maintain it all season. As some others have mentioned, they are even quick to respond when you have an immediate problem! I had a party last year, and let them know the Thursday before ... they re-did their regular schedule to accommodate a Sat. morning cleaning so that the pool would look awesome for the party! If you're in the area and looking for a reliable pool company, I recommend these guys without hesitation. It's just one less thing I have to worry about in the summer!

They overcommunicate in the best way: you have access to everyone's cell phones, they respond promptly, and if you have an issue, they are there instantly. In both cases, Pool Boss was there the next day and fixed them. When I asked for the bill, the answer was, "There is no bill, we just want you to be happy." He wasn't kidding when he said we had to start permitting process in summer 2025 to open in time for Memorial Day weekend 2026 either - getting construction permit processed was the biggest wait. Now we opened just in time for summer - and she's a beauty! Pool Boss team coordinated the whole project from start to finish - the designer Michael helped us get the plans and measurements exactly right, even taking into consideration our future addition plans for the property. Tina filed and coordinated a million permit forms for us. Matt & Dan were very patient helping us figure out the on-sight restrictions. The construction itself was very quick and fun to watch (the digging was done with surgical precision!). Special thank you to Joanna for very clear communication throughout! The scheduling and ongoing notifications to keep us apprised of the progress were very helpful! We went with PB's recommended contractors - JBJ for electric (super professional - and again, helped us run everything with future construction projects in mind), and United Stamped Concrete for landscaping (Felipe's team did a phenomenal job with out stamped concrete patio and grading, great attention to detail). Things started well when he was asked to help us secure a new hot tub last November. We paid…read moreupfront for the hot tub. Then he asked us to pay the annual contract around Christmas 2025. We were reluctant but did it in light of the holiday season. We were told the hot tub would come multiple times. Sometimes it was valid (e.g., winter weather), others it wasn't. We were upfront about the location challenges, timing, coordination contacts. Long story short, after taking $11K from us, we never heard from him again around June. The hot tub never materialized. This is clearly a lesson in "if it's too good to be true then it's not". At first, we were concerned about him as a person and hoped everything was ok with him. Then after multiple outreaches from us and the person who referred him to us receiving no responses, we concluded that he was likely lying to us the whole time. The person who referred him to us also stopped receiving services as I was told Erik stopped answering him as well. I guess Erik lost multiple customers. To be fair, when we got a hold of him (infrequently between Nov '25 - Jun '26), he's a nice man and quite knowledgeable about hot tubs. However, there's no integrity in business dealing as he just stopped answering phone calls and texts. He asked for chances to make things right, and we provided chances. If he can't do something, just be upfront and honest! We filed a chargeback with our bank in hopes to recover the funds. We will be filing a police report for criminal fraud as it's over $10K and I will share it here so everyone can see all the texts, the invoices paid, and you can judge for yourself whether this is a trustworthy business or not.
