Coldest beer around. Atmosphere of a local place. Ambiance you are looking for. Live music every day. Bartender did a wonderful job. CASH IS KING! No credit cards. Although an ATM is in-house. Not pretensive. Food truck outside. Boat launch is on property.

Definitely a drinking destination, fortunately our RV Park is only a few properties north so it was an easy walk. We met two other couples here that were staying at the campground that we had met a year earlier while staying in the Keys so this was a great place to meet again for a few beers and cocktails. We arrived just after dark and the band was already on stage rock in the outdoor area playing some hard hitting country rock. We found seats near the water far enough from the band to still enjoy the music but still able to have a conversation. We grabbed few beers and cocktails at the outside bar, this bartender was efficient and very friendly it appeared that the house cocktails were pre-mixed but always came with a generous floater of rum or tequila depending on whether you ordered a Rum Hurricane or Sunset Margarita. Definitely not your typical cash only dive bar, it's a different level for sure. This bar opens at 7 AM and usually closes after 1 AM seven days a week and has been open since 1938 and operated by the same family since 1963, the Caribbean Club is the oldest bar in the Upper Keys, a place you can still experience what Old Key Largo was like and definitely worth your time to experience something unique to the area. Since this was an original film location for the movie "Key Largo" I'm confident Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson did shots here, "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world", you'll want to walk into this one...

THIS is the place to go for a drink and sunset! Awesome outside beachy feel with an outdoor bar for drinks! Loved our time here and Bloodline filmed here!

My friend and I had an amazing time at this place. We didn't eat. We only had drinks. Parking is free and the view it's simply breathtaking. I had a wine as I was enjoying the view and the live music. Prices are extremely good but bring cash because they only accept cash at the bar. No worries they also have an ATM machine for your convenience.

The Caribbean Club is a must visit if staying in Key Largo, or just passing through to Key West. Wednesday Night Karaoke was a blast!! It was managed well, and the audience participation really helped make it a fun time. Try to arrive early for the magnificent sunset!!! You definitely don't want to miss it! Food isn't served in the bar, and although they have a food truck on the property , it wasn't open while I was there on 2 occasions.

Great bar. Lots of outdoor dining and drinking areas. Also they have a boat ramp that's pretty cheap. $10 per launch. They only sell chips but enjoy the drinks and arcade games and love music. Cool place.

Great place for a beer while listening to good music as the sun goes down over the water.

No, no, no! The Caribbean Club is not a dive bar. At first impression it may look like it. It may at times even act like it, but it's not. What it really is, is a classical Keys Bar in the most classic sense of the term. You can tell it as it's possessed of that laid back Keys tranquility, being a special atmosphere of peaceful tranquility that only a true Keys bar can have. Then to top that, it's steeped in history, as a true Key bar must be. In this case everything from being a part of a Bogart movie to significant mention in the lyrics of Jimmy Buffet songs....so maybe an original part of the salt sands of Margaretville too! As bars go, Caribbean Club, is a drinking, chilling out and conversational socializing bar. So don't go here for food; not even a burger or a dog. They don't have any. Just bags of Lay potato chips. How some ever, if you politely ask in a quite tone of voice or maybe pleadingly beg, which I did, they'll serve you with some fresh smoked local fish. I was lucky enough to get Wahoo. So if you want to go to Key bar at its best, you can't do better than Caribbean Club, which is why I went Five Stars; best of its kind.

I absolutely loved the tranquility of coming here. We came early in the morning just to relax and take in some peaceful views. We sat on the deck on a picnic table and loved how besides one other table we were the only ones here. It's very simple here. Small location with the authentic relaxed vibe of the Keys. There are wooden seats everywhere facing the ocean. An area where the band plays, a dock so you can watch as boats and jet skiis pull up, leave, or drive by. You have the small bar mixing up nice drinks and beers which you can enjoy on their deck or walk your feet in the sand. They even have a hammock placed over the water that will leave you knocked out in seconds. We stayed here for hours just watching the ocean views. Cause sometimes you just want a cold drink with the ocean as your backyard and nothing but silence besides the birds chirping or the passerby's of an engine. A band does play here but being it wasn't even noon, it was to early to enjoy them but I've heard great things. If your in the mood for a cool relaxed vibe with good drinks and cool views, this is it!

This place has recently become my favorite dive bar on Key Largo!  The drinks are cheap and strong; both the bartenders and the patrons are friendly and fun :-) Outside, the place looks like a slice of paradise - inside it's classic dive bar.  Once you get inside, if you keep going you pass through a beachy seating area, and then come to a lovely dock.   I suggest that if you're in the area, you stop by and spend an hour here - you won't be sorry!

The view is great but the bartenders cold and uncaring attitude makes it a no go for us in the future.

Update: went back on last day - just as good. Our son got the same meal (country breakfast); I went a little off menu and elected to have chorizo on the side rather than bacon/sausage. It was different that expected; I thought it would be like a sausage whereas it was more like chile. It worked really well on my eggs and mixed in with my home fries.

The prices on the menu are pretty reasonable. I was going to order the bagel and lox for $16 but then I saw that the lobster Benedict was also $16, so I ordered that instead. I was disappointed though because the "hash browns" on the side were not the homemade kind, but a frozen deep fried cake. I was also disappointed to find that the "lobster" was actually a breaded deep fried mixture, like a crab cake. I intentionally did not order the crab cake Benedict because I don't like that kind of thing. My daughter ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and Swiss cheese. It was good, and pretty big, so she could barely eat half of it. There is a nice view of the water from the restaurant. The parking lot is pretty small. I'd probably try a different restaurant if I'm back in the area.

The food here was very good. See below why I took off one star…read more I'd read about this place. It's off the main highway. It looks a bit ramshackle from the outside. But it is worth the detour. We sat at the bar, inside, with a view of the kitchen and cook, but I'd recommend sitting outside if it's not too hot and weather permits. That's a much better view. We started with their fried asparagus appetizer. The stalks were quite thin, and the portion small, but what we had was delicious. Especially tasty when dipped in the horseradish sauce. I'd get this again! After that we shared their fish dish. Two scoops on a plate with chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, and chopped green pepper. The cutest heart shaped crackers came with the dip. We had leftover dip so we took it home with us (in our cooler). We enjoyed it on toast later on. So the very good? The food. The not so good? The kitchen looked grungy and the ladies room was a mess. Would we come here again? Yes, but we'd sit outside.

Next up was the in house smoked fish dip, two large generous scoops, crackers, diced green bell peppers. Tomatoes and onions. A tasty combination. Rustic atmosphere and smiling bartender makes you feel at home. If you sit at the bar, just try not to look into the kitchen.

It is a little tricky to find it, once you find the parking lot, it is super confusing as to where you enter. There are two floors and multiple doors. Finally someone directed us up the stairs and to the back of the building. We were greeted and given menus fairly quickly, but it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food that day. The hollandaise sauce was atypical as it tasted like there was cheese in it. The smoked salmon on a bagel tasted okay, but fell apart when it was picked up. The breakfast burrito lacked a lot of flavor. The blueberry pancake, although slightly overcooked, was actually very good. The bacon and fried potatoes were not crisp, as I prefer them. So if you like crispy bacon and fried potatoes, ask for that when placing your order. The windows and floors are dirty and the women's bathroom had a round hole with a dirty sock stuck in it on the floor. I actually tripped over it. And the bathroom could have been much cleaner. With a few improvements, Sharkeys could be more appealing to tourists going through and visiting the Keys.
