Fun, Keys vibe with live 70s classic rock band playing on an outdoor stage. Cash only bar with a variety of reasonably priced beers, specialty drinks and seltzers. The bartender was quirky yet very friendly and provided our drinks quickly.

Coldest beer around. Atmosphere of a local place. Ambiance you are looking for. Live music every day. Bartender did a wonderful job. CASH IS KING! No credit cards. Although an ATM is in-house. Not pretensive. Food truck outside. Boat launch is on property.

Definitely a drinking destination, fortunately our RV Park is only a few properties north so it was an easy walk. We met two other couples here that were staying at the campground that we had met a year earlier while staying in the Keys so this was a great place to meet again for a few beers and cocktails. We arrived just after dark and the band was already on stage rock in the outdoor area playing some hard hitting country rock. We found seats near the water far enough from the band to still enjoy the music but still able to have a conversation. We grabbed few beers and cocktails at the outside bar, this bartender was efficient and very friendly it appeared that the house cocktails were pre-mixed but always came with a generous floater of rum or tequila depending on whether you ordered a Rum Hurricane or Sunset Margarita. Definitely not your typical cash only dive bar, it's a different level for sure. This bar opens at 7 AM and usually closes after 1 AM seven days a week and has been open since 1938 and operated by the same family since 1963, the Caribbean Club is the oldest bar in the Upper Keys, a place you can still experience what Old Key Largo was like and definitely worth your time to experience something unique to the area. Since this was an original film location for the movie "Key Largo" I'm confident Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson did shots here, "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world", you'll want to walk into this one...

THIS is the place to go for a drink and sunset! Awesome outside beachy feel with an outdoor bar for drinks! Loved our time here and Bloodline filmed here!

My friend and I had an amazing time at this place. We didn't eat. We only had drinks. Parking is free and the view it's simply breathtaking. I had a wine as I was enjoying the view and the live music. Prices are extremely good but bring cash because they only accept cash at the bar. No worries they also have an ATM machine for your convenience.

Great bar. Lots of outdoor dining and drinking areas. Also they have a boat ramp that's pretty cheap. $10 per launch. They only sell chips but enjoy the drinks and arcade games and love music. Cool place.

The Caribbean Club is a must visit if staying in Key Largo, or just passing through to Key West. Wednesday Night Karaoke was a blast!! It was managed well, and the audience participation really helped make it a fun time. Try to arrive early for the magnificent sunset!!! You definitely don't want to miss it! Food isn't served in the bar, and although they have a food truck on the property , it wasn't open while I was there on 2 occasions.

Great place for a beer while listening to good music as the sun goes down over the water.

No, no, no! The Caribbean Club is not a dive bar. At first impression it may look like it. It may at times even act like it, but it's not. What it really is, is a classical Keys Bar in the most classic sense of the term. You can tell it as it's possessed of that laid back Keys tranquility, being a special atmosphere of peaceful tranquility that only a true Keys bar can have. Then to top that, it's steeped in history, as a true Key bar must be. In this case everything from being a part of a Bogart movie to significant mention in the lyrics of Jimmy Buffet songs....so maybe an original part of the salt sands of Margaretville too! As bars go, Caribbean Club, is a drinking, chilling out and conversational socializing bar. So don't go here for food; not even a burger or a dog. They don't have any. Just bags of Lay potato chips. How some ever, if you politely ask in a quite tone of voice or maybe pleadingly beg, which I did, they'll serve you with some fresh smoked local fish. I was lucky enough to get Wahoo. So if you want to go to Key bar at its best, you can't do better than Caribbean Club, which is why I went Five Stars; best of its kind.

But it is worth the detour. We sat at the bar, inside, with a view of the kitchen and cook, but I'd recommend sitting outside if it's not too hot and weather permits. That's a much better view. We started with their fried asparagus appetizer. The stalks were quite thin, and the portion small, but what we had was delicious. Especially tasty when dipped in the horseradish sauce. I'd get this again! After that we shared their fish dish. Two scoops on a plate with chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, and chopped green pepper. The cutest heart shaped crackers came with the dip. We had leftover dip so we took it home with us (in our cooler). We enjoyed it on toast later on. So the very good? The food. The not so good? The kitchen looked grungy and the ladies room was a mess. Would we come here again? Yes, but we'd sit outside.

I chose a draft beer to go with whatever we decided to share. We had an order of their fried Asparagus which had a sweet horse radish dipping sauce and was great. Next up was the in house smoked fish dip, two large generous scoops, crackers, diced green bell peppers. Tomatoes and onions. A tasty combination. Rustic atmosphere and smiling bartender makes you feel at home. If you sit at the bar, just try not to look into the kitchen.

One thing you'll notice pretty quickly in the Keys is that many restaurants close fairly early, and this one closes at 10 p.m., so we always make sure to get there in time. I've eaten at both the bar and at a table. This year, since my nephew was with us, we grabbed a table and enjoyed another great meal. My absolute favorite dish here is the fish topped with a generous portion of crab. It is absolutely incredible! Funny enough, years ago I actually ordered the pistachio-crusted fish, but the kitchen accidentally brought me the fish with crab instead. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed by that mistake! On this trip, I finally tried the pistachio-crusted fish, and it was delicious too. My nephew couldn't stop talking about the seafood linguine. It was loaded with seafood, and he absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is one of the best parts of dining here. The waterfront views are beautiful, and you can choose to sit under the tiki hut or kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand beneath your feet. It's such a relaxing place to unwind after a day in the Keys. We've also had the coconut shrimp, which comes with an amazing dipping sauce that I'd definitely recommend. For drinks, I tried their espresso martini for the first time. They add cocoa to it, which I've never seen before. It definitely caught me by surprise, but in a good way. I always enjoy when a bartender puts a creative spin on a classic cocktail instead of making the same version everyone else serves. Between the beautiful setting, delicious food, and laid-back atmosphere, this is a place we look forward to visiting every year.
