We were on our way to Key West and wanted to stop for a late breakfast/early lunch. We chose Sharkeys. It fell short of our expectations. It is a little tricky to find it, once you find the parking lot, it is super confusing as to where you enter. There are two floors and multiple doors. Finally someone directed us up the stairs and to the back of the building. We were greeted and given menus fairly quickly, but it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food that day. The hollandaise sauce was atypical as it tasted like there was cheese in it. The smoked salmon on a bagel tasted okay, but fell apart when it was picked up. The breakfast burrito lacked a lot of flavor.The blueberry pancake, although slightly overcooked, was actually very good. The bacon and fried potatoes were not crisp, as I prefer them. So if you like crispy bacon and fried potatoes, ask for that when placing your order. The windows and floors are dirty and the women's bathroom had a round hole with a dirty sock stuck in it on the floor. I actually tripped over it. And the bathroom could have been much cleaner. With a few improvements, Sharkeys could be more appealing to tourists going through and visiting the Keys. read more

One of the first of numerous places during our week of being in the Key Largo. We're from Southern California. Our friend whom lives outs here in Largo took us to a local spot they frequent here and there. Funny thing is we have Sharkeys type of places by name and feel. So it felt somewhat similar to eating here. And like the food over at those places in California, it was alright. The atmosphere was laid back, our server knew our friend, we sat outside since we had our daughter with us whom is under a year old. So it was welcoming spot for it being the first local restaurant our friend took us to. It wasn't anything great or bad. It was just ok, the food was decent; which I was hoping would be a little better but maybe because where we were at, I was expecting more. Also their bucket or small bucket of alcohol with syrupy drinks was similar to. It was alright, not a bad experience at all. Just a middle ground restaurant. read more

Sharkeys Pub is a cool and popular dive bar where locals and tourists gather in Key Largo. It's located on the canal at Port Largo Marina. The first floor is the sports bar where you can hear live music, enjoy the best selection of craft beers, play pool, and hop on a fishing boat to try your luck at fishing. The second floor is a family friendly restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can sit and watch the fishing boats leaving and coming back. We stopped by later in the evening and had margaritas and watched the action on the first floor. The service was friendly and fairly prompt. We didn't order any food as we had dinner elsewhere. The place was packed. Everyone seemed to be in a pretty good mood. It was fun and we would return again. There is parking near their building. read more

Advertised as a sports bar but when we went to watch the Sabres game they had live music outside and the inside bar which did have the game on was apparently closed. Tried to watch the game inside and was told to go outside. Hard to watch a game with live music. Not a sports friendly bar many better options out there. Very disappointing we have been here numerous times in the past and we're looking forward to going again. Very unlikely we will be back. Oh and should be mentioned the two indoor bartenders who told us the inside bar was closed were in the back playing a golf simulator. read more

I heard this place was great, especially for a happy hour. While in Key Largo, I decided to visit. I also heard they had a lot of different draft beer choices that were craft beer. It was very confusing trying to get to Sharky's. If I didn't have my GPS, I probably would not have found it. When I arrived, the place looked pretty cool and was right on a waterway. I was so excited. The problem is, it seemed in need of renovation. I had a very nice waitress, but she let me know. They only had one beer on tap that wasn't domestic or an IPA. I got the Amber and it was quite good. I ordered a couple of different appetizers from the happy hour menu figuring they all sounded so good. I got the buffalo shrimp and the fish tenders. Buffalo shrimp was shrimp that was thrown in some batter and fried, but the problem is the shell was still on it! Very bad and chewy. I couldn't eat more than a couple. Then the fish looked amazing! I couldn't wait to eat it! It was super greasy and I couldn't eat it either. It was a real disappointment because I had a lot of high hopes for this place. Then I thought I'd look at what kind of swag they had. I love swag from places I visit. The merchandise was upstairs. I had to enter two different places that weren't where the swag was until I found it. They have a very limited supply on very thin cheap T-shirts. Sharkey's SharkBite Grill Key Largo 4-29-25. Stopped here on a Tuesday morning around 10am for breakfast. We had to go upstairs as the downstairs was closed. Once up there all outside tables were filled so we sat inside. Waitress came over fast took our drink and food order fast. Place was not fancy but very clean and organized. I ordered the Moring Tots Bowl which had Tater Tots, Jack Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, and Sausage Gravy poured over top with 2 sunny side eggs. My wife ordered the French Toast which came with 3 slices Brioche French Toast, and she got Strawberries on top. My dad ordered the Blueberry Butter Milk Pancakes with whipped Cream on top. Our food came our fast and it looked very good and tasted even better. All food was hot and was very good. For a place that's very simple the food was very good. Even the waitress was spot on checking on us and so friendly. I would go back any time we are in Key Largo, and you should to. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars. Sharkey's was exactly what we were looking for on our quick visit to key largo, just a little low key laidback bar/restaurant. Sheri helped us the first night and was such a joy to hang and chat with the next night! Yes, we went back two nights in a row! Saturday nights live music was also very enjoyable!! The drinks were good but surprisingly I'd say the food was even better. I wasn't even planning on getting food and I am so glad we did! The first night we got the nacho nachos and the shredded meat was on point! The second night there were many different orders but I tried the club sandwhich and it did not disappoint, taste wise and portion wise! Definitely a fun place to try! Manager was great fixing the screw up that waiter Martin created by overcharging our tab.. Martin also did not communicate a problem in the kitchen that had us waiting for over 45 min for our food. On our first day in Key Largo, we stopped in at Sharkey's for lunch and we were very impressed! We sat outdoors, overlooking a beautiful little canal, filled with boats and activities. We ordered the Fish n' Chips, Conch Fritters, and Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. All of which was super delicious and huge portions, too! Our waitress was super sweet to both us and our dog. There is free parking and this restaurant is dog friendly (outdoor seating). Parts of the outdoor seating is covered, so no matter what the weather is - you and your puppy can enjoy! read more

I'll preface with a reminder you are in the Florida Key's, things are much more relaxed here so expect friendly and relaxed. If you are in a rush or need constant attention you may rate it differently. I liked having some family time to chill and unwind. Think the owner served us, forgot to get his name but he was super friendly, they were slammed but he took care of us. Food overall was spectacular, came out fresh and hot and OMG the queso & tots were so good we couldn't stop eating them. Had the Nacho Nachos as well as the fish tacos (their specialty) and the southern fried chicken sandwich. Be warned, the fish tacos are big, not the small 6 inch shells they use at most places these had to be 8-10" shells. Either way they were delicious. The chips are seasoned and balance things nicely. Only had one of the specialty drinks and some sodas but it was very good. Very island living vibe. You can sit upstairs or down, inside or out so they have a lot of options for whatever suits you best. The live music is always nice but they had the amps cranked so we ended up sitting upstairs so it was a little quieter. Again you have options. Highly recommend if you are in the Key's. It is off the beaten path so you need to look it up but it will be worth it. read more

I was down at Key Largo to get some dives in between the hurricanes. Things were a bit brisk and multiple times we had to change dive sites because of visibility and high seas. On one of those days, we got in really late and my party of 3 was pretty beat down. By the time we cleaned up and were ready for food, nobody wanted to go far - so we walked to Sharkey's (near our hotel) and went upstairs and found a table. It was pretty crowded, but you could see the staff were serious about taking care of everyone. We ordered some Conch Fritters (I was reluctant, but my party was in favor), Blackened Fish Tacos, and I got the 8 oz Churrasco Steak along with some drinks. My daughter's cocktail was taking a while, so I asked the server for an update - he was very apologetic and went to figure it out. He came back with her order which he took off the bill. I told him that it was not necessary as it was obvious there were a lot of customers, but he insisted saying that it took too much time to get her, her drink - this guy had a fantastic attitude and was very customer oriented. I was impressed with the quality of the food - particularly in light of their prices. You could actually taste Conch in the Conch Fritters and they apparently never got the word that they should cost $15+. These were $10 and they were great! You could actually taste the Conch. My Churrasco was excellent and only $12 for an 8oz steak with a loaded platter (their black beans were exceptional). Sharkey's is a tremendous value, but the staff is what really stood out - Great Service! After tasting my steak, I wanted to order some red wine but was told they were out of wine glasses. So I suggested a coffee cup - the server was like "Really?". I explained that I could survive quite nicely without stemware, so my red wine appeared in a coffee cup and they refused to charge me for it. When things slowed down, we talked with the staff for a while - a very enjoyable evening. Highly recommended with quality food & drink & low prices. read more

But the ambiance, and the hygiene situation, was at its own level of disgusting! I'm actually surprised this gets past health inspection! Unfortunately dinner consisted of bussing your own table, an overwhelmed server, mediocre food, and the chillest food runner I've ever met. Service moved incredibly slow with only one serve and food runner. Tables weren't getting cleaned so people would just move all the plates to another table... a never ending cycle. Whole table did burgers that were just poorly made. Also got a mystery burger in place of the chipotle burger. Had to hunt down our own silverware and boxes as well. Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We went upstairs because they A/C was ice cold and the service is really good. We arrived at the end of breakfast service, so we waited until 11am. for the lunch menus to come out. The beer selection on the board was good, but they didn't have all that I asked about that were local, so I went with the server recommendations. It was time to place our food order, and now we were super hungry. Conch Fritters were tender and had lots of sweet flavor, fish dip was a hearty portion with capers and red onion on the side. The Mahi Sammy lightly blackened was tasty, and the Ahi Tuna Buger was a little small in portion compared to the pile of slaw on top. Still really good. The star was the 1/2 lb of warm, garlic Key West pink shrimp. They were jumbo, and I had 7 on my plate with garlic toast in a delicious garlic sauce.
