Despite being super busy and tight spaces they had everything that I needed. The fresh fruit looked super fresh!

Our New Year's Day tradition centers on serving Hoppin' John black-eye peas with salt-pork, and we…read morelove to add fried catfish to that meal. We like Sea King Seafood Market for bbq and freshly-cooked crabs. They have specials several nights a week on crabs, crabmeat, and crab-cakes, and sometimes on shrimp. They offer takeout all day, and casual indoor dining after 4pm most days. Recently we noticed they have catfish on their menu! That takeout could save us prep for that dish, because we're making many dishes and taking them to feast with friends, so we decided to give them a try. Sea King has huge half-pound filets at $14/lb, cooked sweet and tender, breaded in a light coating of simple traditional flour and cornmeal seasoned with salt and pepper, nearly the same recipe we use at home. We bought two pounds, and popped them into the fridge so we could transport them about 30min. Then we laid them on a wire rack over a cooking pan, and heated them about 20min at 300°. They crisped right up and stayed tender and juicy. Very delicious! Thank you, King Family!

But I love the fact that they served fresh seafood and offered plenty of items on the menu . The fried fish and fries was I opted for . The wait was quick and the service was good. The only thing my meal lacked was season. The fish and fries both were bland . But the place has more to offer and I would make a return .

They bring a different feel and different flavor to the outing. From the " napkin purse" ( awesome touch of creativity) to the tall unique glass of lemonade. And at Yardkoo you won't get your boil in a bag ( unless it's to-go ) They bring everything out on a stylish tray put together more like an art exhibit, then your meal for the evening. FYI: I ordered a half dozen of raw oysters to jump start things, and they were absolutely on point and super fresh from all angles ( a must have ) And once I actually dove into my meal, I was 100% sold that my loyalty was theirs for the foreseeable future. The environment is bubbly but not loud. The service is friendly and very attentive on all levels. The young woman ( Q ) did an outstanding job of helping me navigate the menu, sauce level, and to-go orders. She had the perfect attitude ( professional with a smile ) and she had an answer for every question I threw her way !!!! ( Shoutout to the bartender also ! ) Trust me when I say Yardkoo is etched on Mount Rushmore when it comes to seafood boil royalty !!!!

There is plenty of shared parking in the other businesses in the area. This was a little different because they bring the meal out on a hot skillet that had a burning sterno under it, so be careful. I did learn the hard way when I touched it. The food was good. I had the small boil that comes with half a pound of crab legs, half a pound of headless shrimp, half a pound of sausage, potatoes, and corn. You can choose your flavor and level of spice. I went with garlic butter medium spicy. More than enough to fill me up with a little leftover. Service was good as well. A very festive atmosphere inside. A few people had birthday celebrations this night and they played a club music birthday song.

Upon entering, you walk into a full service, but small, market specializing in Italian grocery items. The ambiance was homey, perfect for a small neighborhood specialty grocery. They also have a deli counter, meat counter, hot food bar, and Italian dessert section, to name a few. They also have pizza kits to take home to make your own and pasta and other food items prepared and ready to go in the refrigerated section. The pizza counter is located in the rear of the store. They also sold other items such as sandwiches. We were greeted by a pleasant young man and ordered our Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. Scittino's has seating to enjoy your pizza in store or outside. Our order was ready in no time. We opted to take ours to go. The pizza was fresh with a great yeasty crust. The toppings were good and ample, the tomatoes sauce fresh with just enough cheese to pull it all together. The pizza was really good. All in all, another pizza spot to add to our growing list in the area.
