This is a great crab shack in Baltimore area near the water. They have a big outside seating and an indoor seating as well. Came here for Saturday lunch and had their large crab, side of fries and crab dip. The crab is definitely a good choice if ever visiting. The crab dip is ok. I would recommend this to others who may want that messy crab selection but if that is not your game they also have other items like sandwiches and such. read more

The crabs were great. The service was also good- quick. The downside to my experience: 1. No posted menu. Maybe people only order crabs, but at least a sign to say that. I had to ask what sides they had. Corn. Cool. I'll take 2. 2. While my food was ready quick... this was perhaps a mistake. I got home with smaller crabs and no corn. A bust. But they got demolished. My family and I were in search of Maryland's finest steamed blue crabs and we found them at Nick's. Although they didn't have online ordering, call in ordering was just fine. I had done online ordering for blue crabs at another place and somehow or conveniently the "online order" was lost, misplaced or not received despite I had the confirmation number. The crabs were ready for pick up at the designated time. It was quick and good service. Parking was tight due to number of customers picking up their orders too. It was counter service and folks attending the counter were friendly and quick. Entering Nick's the aroma of fresh steam crabs hits your senses as I walked in. They had a special for half a bushel that day and we feasted. The crabs were packed with meat, fresh and so yummy. All of us devoured the crabs and when done just the shells were piled high. Couldn't pass the summer without these steamed blue crabs. No other states have them & so cool I live in MD where there's plenty. read more

Ordered a bushel for a surprise party. They delivered in flavor and quality. The steamed corn was amazing and sweet. We paid in advance and picked up the next day. Everything was ready at the appointed time. Ladies were helpful and efficient at the counter. The market is located off of Southwestern Blvd, behind the Dunkin donuts. I never knew it was there until I was looking for a place to get crabs this season. My bf introduced me to this crab place when we drove pass Baltimore and it was very delicious! Their crabs are sold differently based on crab size and portion size. They didn't have the jumbo ones so we got a dozen of XL crabs, steamed with normal old bay seasoning. They were $105 for a dozen and I think they only take cash! There were a couple of legs missing from some crabs but they gave us 15 total (to compensate). To my surprise, the XL crabs had a good amount of meat on them! The old bay seasoning was tasty but a little too salty so I had to be careful with how much seasoning I paired with my meat. They also have other crab options and shrimp too I believe. It was super easy to call and order. It was easy to find the shop and service was pretty quick. read more

Got there pretty late in the day so only small and medium crabs were available but even the small crabs were bursting with delicious flavor. I really like Nick's. Their softshell sandwich (when they have it) is pretty good. Their crab cake is very good. They also have some fun drinks and their location and aesthetic are great. That being said, it is really expensive for what it is. Additionally, we had to ask for everything when we were there including: napkins, silverware, ketchup for fries, any condiments for raw oysters (they came plain with no lemons or sauce). Some of the best crabs I have had. 2 dozen mediums led to 26 or so crabs about half medium and half larger. Most were heavy with only one really light crab.
