They were super nice and showed us all the cool artwork that were there we were there and then we end up coming back to pick up some of the luminescent fishes and some sweets as well. A lot to look at and so many things for everyone. I love that they had a little bird whistle that sing as well when you add water.

This spot is right on the corner of an intersection near the church & tour guide map in downtown Old San Juan. They've got a big chair with the country flag painted on it that all tourists stop to take a photo sitting in. They've also got all kinds of souvenirs, magnets, stickers, trinkets, even drink cousies where they'll give you a beer if you buy one. Stop in here and grab some things while in area.

We ventured in and a very frienndly and courteous lady greeted us. We saw a few shirts that we liked but we did not wish to purchase so early as we did not want to carry it around. We informed the nice lady that we would be back later in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon we returned (as promised since the lady in the morning was so sweet) . The lady was not there, but instead it was a man. We made eye contact with the man. He glared and said nothing but we greeted him with a hello and a smile anyways. Finally we find 2 shirts that we liked and 1 shirt was from the 3 for $10 section. he charged us 13 or 14 per Tshirt x 2. When i asked whether 1 of 2 was the 3 for $10 he said, " no it is not" .. immediately followed by "i would be happy to put it back on the rack for you". WOW...OK! ...and if you are spending 13-14 per shirt, i recommend that you go to another store with better quality and selection. we searched thru the "back wall" of 3 for $10 and most had a black dot about 1.5" diameter in some part of the shirt. We managed to find 1 that did not have the black dot thinking it was 3 for $10 but that tured out to be $13-$14 so as you see if you are spending 13-14 then go to another store with better selection, quality and hopefully you will not encounter such terse treatment.

It's a rather large spacious store for an Old San Juan location and its stocked full with varying items extending all the way up the walls to the ceiling. Besides the typical souvenirs they have hand painted jewelry item, items of clothing and paintings but what really sparked me was its collection of masks. There are all sorts of them, many hand carved from a single piece of wood. The place is clean, has good lighting and the staff are friendly and polite. I would also say that I found all of their prices reasonable and one of the better such places to shop in Old San Juan.

This cute little shop has a great selection of beyond fairly priced items that you won't find in the other shops. Namely, a selection of locally made artwork (paintings, prints, postcards) was a hidden treasure that answered all my souvenir needs!! The artist happened to be there, too; meeting her made the experience even more special, as did the friendly shopkeeper. Instead of leaving PR with a bag full of shot glasses and keychains, I have artwork that truly conveys the beauty of the island. My favorites are the scenes of Old San Juan.
