The oxtails are tender juicy and cooked right. The gravy was tasty too. The red peas and rice was the right consistency. The owners Paul and Marie have created a Jamaican food gem here in Palm Coast. Did I mention that they bake their own beef patty that a treat!

My stars are for the beef oxtails. Flavorful brown, rich gravy smother the tender, delicious oxtails. Comes as a combo that includes rice and beans , mixed vegetables, & two slices of plaintains, which are ok. But the oxtails is what I care for & it's on point. There are usually 3 main combos each day, Goat or Chicken Curry, and Oxtails. They have beef & vegetable patties also. Reminiscent of the Golden Krust beef patties. Just call ahead if you want to know what's available. I haven't tried anything other than oxtails and beef patties. I would assume it serves as a place for To-Go orders, since it's a relatively small grocer/restaurant selling some Jamaican grocery items.. and there's only a table with one chair. It's locally owned by a sweet, old couple.

I don't like to give bad reviews, but this one is a must. We bought the ox-tail and the so called brown stew chicken and the only reason I didn't take it back was because I was passing through Palm Coast. The ox-tail lacked flavor, the cabbage and rice were plain. The brown stew chicken tasted like spicy barbecue.. what a disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and hit a Caribbean spot in Daytona or Jacksonville.

Excellentemente! Let me tell you! To die for!!!…read more This place is cute with the fun famous caricature Puerto Rican celebrities by an award winning artist. Their pics are on the wall and their story of the celebrities are on the napkin holders. Now you will find Puerto Rican rotisserie chicken - moist and tasty. Not dry! You will find other excellent Puerto Rican fare here - roasted pork, mofongo, trifongo, empanadas, alcapurrias, rice con gandules. We ordered a 1/2 chicken entree with sweet plantains. Our other entree is their pastelon. This is a must try. It's sweet plantain lasagna. Instead of noodles it's sweet plantains. Sweet and savory heaven here. You pick the two sides. I picked yuca with mojo(I ordered this for my hubby) along with it, sweet plantains. So good and so big and great price. They also give you some yummy samples - bread pudding and another pudding with coquito l. They also sell coquito which is the traditional coconut liquor drink to die for, served at Christmas Service is A+!!! Friendly, Helpful, Engaging!!! So glad we came here!!

The pork was succulent! I added a chicarone and it was crunchy and delicious! I would definitely recommend! We had so many leftover sides that I made fried rice the following day and added the Yuca to my pot roast on another meal. What impressed me, was they forgot the green banana salad in my order and called me to tell me while I was on my way home. Soooo sweet of them! I will try them again! Customer service like this is refreshing!

The good, bad, and ugly. No ugly here! A fun and funky unpretentious restaurant - I will be back!!…read moreHad to wait 20 minutes on a Thursday night, Everywhere was hopping at 6:30 nearby as we walked arou d while waiting. GOOD: Good size portions, reasonable prices, especially for cocktails. The same margarita would be $14 elsewhere. I had the "Wrap it up mango" tuna wrap with fried plaintains as my side. Plaintains were a big portion, so I took half home. The wrap was very tropical with fruit and sushi grade tuna. I ate it all, which was greedy of me, but I enjoyed it and felt overfull (my bad). Hubby had the clam and shrimp chowder and 2 apps. Very tender clams, thick texture and more shrimp flavor than clam, tasty for sure. Conch fritters good and in our top 5 (we get them everywhere and have been disappointed but now here). The wings were cooked perfectly, not heavy and crispy. The key lime flavor was good but too light. BAD: Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. The other servers seemed right on top of the other diners. 2 person tables are a bit too small if you order multiple appetizers. But nothing bad at all here.
