Terrible service and even worse food! We ordered online using their website after coming into the Orlando airport and reading the reviews. Showed up 45 mins later, right at the time the food was supposed to be ready for pickup. When we arrived, they had not even started our food and said it would take another 15 minutes. Since we'd already paid, we decided to wait . 25 minutes it was finally ready. When we got to the hotel, it was apparent this was not authentic Jamaican food from the appearance alone. What was supposed to be red beans and rice was plain rice with a handful of green peas in it. The oxtails were tough and tasteless, the rice a mushy mess and the macaroni and cheese a gooey and bland. The sorrel and ginger drink tasted like gasoline- I have on idea what was in it. After paying a hundred dollars for two plates and two drinks, I was highly disappointed. I never expected to get this level of low quality food in Florida. The service was already bad - I would have forgotten that if the food were tasty. Instead it was just insult added to injury. What a waste of time and money! read more

I ordered online and received a confirmation email telling me to pick up the order on Palm Coast Parkway. When I went there, the restaurant was no longer there. I attempted to call the phone number and could not get through. Eventually, a lady called and told me they were now a food truck. I asked that they cancel my order and refund my credit card. They did not refund my card. I called twice the following week, was able to leave a message, and got no return call. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the transaction. Authentic and delicious Caribbean flavors in the heart of Palm Coast. We were warmly greeted as we walked in. We dined in, ordered our food and picked out our drinks. The food was incredible, so full of flavor at fair prices. The owner came over after cooking our meals and introduced himself and gave us a piece of cake to try. The service was superb. As a new transplant to the area, we were looking for some local, non-chain restaurants with an ethnic flair and in Sylvain's we found it. The atmosphere is loud and proud with the colors of the Caribbean and the service was excellent. We were lucky enough to meet Lue and she took wonderful care of us from seating to departure. We'll be back just to see her! We ordered the Haitian fish patty as an appetizer. The crust was flaky and flavorful and the filling was full of savory spice. It was a great start to the meal. For entrees we had the jerk chicken with rice and peas and sweet plantains as well as the brown stew chicken with yellow rice and cabbage/carrots. We ordered a roti as well and got a delicious side of the curry gravy to accompany it. All I can say is that everything was simply scrumptious. Special mention goes to the roti with curry as it was a surprise ... who knew something so simple could be so flavorful and warming. We typically do not order dessert, but they had rum cake. I haven't had that in years and theirs was just what I wanted. Deep flavors with a great texture. This along with the service was a special way to end the meal. The Guyanese and Haitian transplants from Miami are creating delicious Carriibean food in a quaint lil spot in palm coast slightly off the beaten path but in a beautiful and well maintained plaza. Gotta try the oxtails best I've ever had the cabbage was also exceptional and to just to top it off other than my moms, best homemade scotch bonnet pepper sauce not too hot but just enough to feel a little tingle, perfectly balanced and not that it's needed but takes the food to another dimension.
