    Vaca Frita

Good food! I ordered the Vaca Frita and it was delicious. Also ordered a Caesar salad that was ok. I read some reviews saying there was no air conditioning. They had air conditioning on when I was there and it was nice. Very friendly staff. The manager or owner came to check on me as well and you could feel the genuine hospitality when he spoke.

This waitress was the nicest person I've ever met

Super friendly staff. Went over backwards to make sure everything was delightful and perfect. Lots of warm smiles happy people. The food was quite delicious with hot and it got to my table quickly. The coffee is fantastic and Cuban bread was something else. I'll give this place a 10 star rating. Come on coffee for $.95 and two americano coffee's for $3.18. This place has the best prices ever. Also we got five scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, potatoes and Cuban bread for $12.49. I hope this place starts charging more because her not charging enough to stay in this kind of business. They are awesome.

Tambor- layered with rice, red beans, pork and topped with fufu de platano and red peppers.

A co-worker brought this to our work for one of our company's luncheon. I along with the rest of the team couldn't stop asking what exactly we were eating as it was dubious. For months after, I kept asking him where did he get it from and what was it called. Well, finally today, before he left on vacation I asked him again and he game the details. I immediately called thinking that this was made on a special order basis and I was surprised that they said that it would only take 30 minutes for me to pick up this delicious concoction. Although, I barely drive to that area of my city, the craving was so bad that I went(alone). The restaurants itself is in a not so nice location, off of flagler street and 72nd street. The staff was friendly and since there were no customers, I didn't have to wait at all. I had order a Tambor for 5 people and it cost $45.00. plus tax. So not too shabby. I hope you get a chance to try it someday, I really like it. My review is solely on my order out experience!

Very cozy place in a small plaza! The sandwich menu includes pan con bistec and medianoche! Plenty of servers were around and seating was adequate! Great for a sandwich for lunch

The menu is extensive, offering so many authentic Cuban favorites that it can be hard to decide what to order. I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it does a great job accommodating guests. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall experience and gives you a true taste of Miami's Cuban culture. Don't leave without stopping by the bakery next door! It's the perfect way to end your meal, with an incredible selection of pastries, desserts, coffee, and other sweet treats. Even if you're already full, it's worth grabbing something to enjoy later. Great food, generous portions, a rich history, and an authentic atmosphere--Versailles continues to be one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Miami.

We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely outstanding and one of our favorite dishes of the night. I also ordered their take on a Moscow Mule, and it was refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. For the main course, we shared two of the specials--the red snapper and the meat platter. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough to comfortably feed our group of six. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The live Cuban music, energetic entertainment, and vibrant ambiance create such a fun and memorable experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. A couple of things to know before you go: reservations are definitely recommended because the restaurant is very popular, and tables are limited to a two-hour seating. If you'd like to continue the night, you can always move over to the bar, which keeps the great energy going. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, fantastic cocktails, and a lively night out, Café La Trova is absolutely worth visiting!

An older waitress served our table. She first brought us calamari that was undercooked, sticky, and raw. She replaced it with octopus, which was more expensive, and we agreed to keep it. We also asked for tap water, but she brought us bottled water instead, which cost $10. The restaurant was very dark, making it difficult to notice these things right away. Before we had a chance to review everything, the food was already served. When the check arrived, she pressured me to pay quickly, so I didn't have enough time to carefully review the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for additional side dishes that we never ordered, which increased the total significantly. This restaurant is wonderful and doesn't need these kinds of tactics. I only wish they employed more honest waitstaff. My advice is to carefully check your order and your bill before paying so you don't end up spending extra money or dealing with unnecessary stress that could ruin an otherwise enjoyable evening. I truly loved the atmosphere and the food, but I was very disappointed by the service. For me, the ambiance and food deserve 5 stars, while the service deserves only 1 star. That averages out to a 3-star review.

Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
