Just landed and came straight here from our hotel. Read the reviews as we wanted authentic Cuban food! The service was quick and we tried our best to speak Spanish but they understand English too. We loved our server. The fried pork (crispy on the outside and so tender and yummy inside!) Sunday special dinner! Fried plantains were scrumptious and the rice w/beans were delicious. Hubby enjoyed his Cuban sandwich was big and yummy too. The cut little French fries topped it off. It's a local favorite! But the wine collection! Wow! The desserts look amazing too! Hope to try !

Estoy esperando el día en que en este restaurante tu pidas un Sándwich Cubano y solo te den una tostada Cubana. Ya este Sándwich Cubano va por dos lasquitas de jamón un pedazo de puerco y una de queso.

the food was veryyyy good and fresh tasting, they were attentive, was not too busy for a weekend, i wish i lived closer to come more often

Nice Cuban restaurant that would be easily missed by anyone who blinks an eye. The restaurant itself is not too large so it fills up pretty quickly. The food is no frills delicious and packs a large portion. I've had the fish fillet, vaca frita, and lechon - my favorite is the fish, but everything here is delicious. Service is attentive and friendly. Will return.

Due to logistics and having to catch a plane home, we couldn't get over to Little Havana for our first choice of Cuban restaurants. However, this spot worked for us during a last minute pinch for our Cuban craving. We ordered a pastry, cafe con leche, and Cubano coffee to start. This was delicious and gave us a much needed caffeine jolt. For entrees I ordered a Miami sandwich and my BF had the Cubano sandwich. My Miami sandwich was absolutely delicious, it was basically a club sandwich but perfect. Just enough mayo and the perfect bite each time. The Cubano wasn't great and I was surprised. You'd think it would be the other way around at a Cuban restaurant. Also, there weren't any pickles on it and I'm pretty sure that is a missing ingredient on a Cubano sandwich. Odd. Overall, it did the trick in a pinch, but their signature sandwich was a let down.

What an amazing lunch! The menu, staff, and food were all amazing (plus it's a great price). We had a group of four and were seated and served quickly. We loved everything we tried (see photos) - the steak, chicken, beans, rice, and Cuban were on-point and 10/10 recommend. The only thing we did not like was the croquette - just not what we expected from having them in the past and was more just fried potato-texture with salty ham taste.

This Reconcito thang is either a chain of Excellent Cuban/Latin cuisine restaurants or they have bottled the mom/pop feel with home cooking selections. The taste and quality only mama or your grandma would have waiting for you during lunch or dinner. This location has a outdoor patio and indoor seating that gives you the feeling you're in Europe or Cuba, F#%K South Beach. Food is fresh and simple but only simple if you're generationally connected to the traditional recipes of faraway food masters. All dishes are yummy fresh and not over the top flavored l. Staff is funny and fast looks like a house full of my aunts.

Steak sandwiches are delicious! Nice thick steak and bread was perfect. We stopped by after a soccer game and my son loved it! Be back soon!

Her customer service and attention to detail was awesome, ensuring she stopped by multiple times throughout to top off water and check on my experience. I went with the grilled Chicken breast and double side of tostones which tasted fantastic. Of note, I covered the tostones in the garlic like sauce while they were hot, which rendered them a fine combo of crunchy and somewhat soft- in short, awesome. Personally, no meal is finished without some form of coffee at the end. I admit this habit stems from my upbringing and a penchant for American, French and Italian fare but this was no different. I enjoyed a Cortadito which tasted amazing and had beautiful presentation. If I could rate this experience 6 stars I would. They knocked it out of the park. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and we waited about 30 minutes to be seated. I honestly expected the wait to be frustrating, but the staff was so nice and they were constantly checking in on us to make sure everyone was being taken care of. The service was probably my favorite part of the whole experience. Every single person we came across was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customers. Even with the restaurant being so busy, they never made us feel ignored or rushed. You don't always get that kind of service anymore, and I really appreciated it. Now the food... everything we had was SO good! Yummy! The Nicaraguan churrasco was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The fish ceviche was absolutely delicious. I also tried cow's tongue, and I have to say, it was a real delicacy! The portions are big too, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The beef soup was another favorite. So flavorful and comforting. Make sure to save room for dessert because the tres leches is delicious. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best tres leches cakes I've ever had in my life. It's my favorite dessert and I have eaten it hundredths of times. So, trust me when I tell you, it's amazingly tasty! What made the night special was being there with my family and just enjoying everything together. Good food, a nice atmosphere, and people who actually care about giving you a good experience. That combination is hard to beat. I would absolutely recommend Madroño to anyone who enjoys great food. If you're visiting Miami, put this place on your list. And if you live here and haven't tried it yet, go! You won't regret it. We will definitely be back!

We were able to get one of the servers to look at us after a couple of minutes of sitting there. They brought us a little palate-opener of a small portion of a simple soup. They had a margarita special we tried, $5 frozen margaritas. The maracuya (passion fruit) one was a solid choice. I also ordered the mojarra frita with white rice, tostones, and salad. The rice was really undercooked. The waiter tried to appease us by bringing us more of the same uncooked rice. Unfortunately, what followed was a surprisingly disappointing experience -- and one that became harder to justify with every course. The service was slow and disorganized, our sangrias had to be returned, and the mixed ceviche was a very small portion with mostly tiny shrimp and very little fish. Then came the $110 parrillada. We ordered the meat medium, but much of it arrived overcooked and dry. Served on a hot platter, it continued cooking at the table. To make matters worse, it had taken nearly an hour to arrive, so sending it back simply wasn't an option we were willing to endure. The sides -- yuca, tostones, and fries -- were all underwhelming, and the sauces were so limited that we had to ask for more. Water wasn't replenished, and even the basic table service felt neglected. We eventually spoke with the manager, hoping for some acknowledgment of the experience. Instead, we were essentially told that we should have complained sooner. We explained that after waiting nearly an hour for our food, we weren't prepared to wait another hour for a replacement. We were offered complimentary desserts, but unfortunately, the churros were rubbery and seemed reheated, while the tres leches was just average. And then came the bill: nearly $200 for three people -- for lunch. Not dinner. Lunch. At that price, you expect the food, service, and overall experience to feel exceptional. Unfortunately, ours didn't come close. We didn't leave upset because the restaurant was expensive; we left disappointed because the experience simply didn't justify what we paid. We went in with high expectations and left feeling that Mordisco was not worth the price. Sadly, we won't be returning.
