Please stop littering and putting trash on people's cars in the nearby area. Several times when I come here, I get trash put on my car, including advertisements from this restaurant. It is waste

Cuban comfort food goes a long way... With daily specials priced so attractively and served so generously, this little spot in SoMi has become my refuge for my Cuban yearnings quite often. Personally, I'm not really into beans so they've offered to replace that side with the soup of the day which I find quite fulfilling honestly. I've had their picadillo, tostada, palomilla, pan con bistec, and their medianoche and have had a great experience each time. While I do wish they made their own shoestring potatoes for the pan con bistec and also served fresh mariquitas, I'm okay with it because the prices are unbeatable. Everything I order is ready within minutes which is great for people on the go like myself. They offer delivery during certain hours of the day but I've picked up all my orders in person because I find it faster. There's outdoor seating available which is great during the cooler months. It's reliable, affordable, and centrally located so I'd give them a shot when in the area.

In town on business and co-worker recommended this place. I had the Cuban Steak Sandwich. It was so good! The Cuban bread was awesome. I also had a Cuban pastry with cheese and guava. So good. The wait staff was very friendly. My food came out quickly. There was tables outside that I ate at. Really nice place to try the sandwiches.

As a vegetarian it can sometimes be hard to find veg-friendly bites, but Mojito Grill came through! This is the perfect spot to grab a quick meal and the food is super filling and so tasty!

I enjoyed my chicken bowl which consisted of fresh grilled chicken and onions, beans and rice, and sweet plantains. The black beans were delicious and the chicken had just the right amount of seasoning. The service was pleasant. The young lady took my order, relayed to the cook to grill chicken and the rest was already prepared. It took less than 10 minutes. It was an generous amount of food for under $10. I will definitely go back I would say this is a take-out more than sit down restaurant. There are a few barstools and a counter and several tables and chairs outside on the sidewalk. Some refer to it as a "hole in the wall", mama, papa, no frills type place with descent food. They are right, and that's a good and positive generality. There is parking in front if you get lucky, or street parking.

Eek. Not great. We came in at a very slow time, so I can't blame the food quality on them being rushed. I ordered a pan con bistec, which was very tasty and quick, but I tried my friend's 'cheeseburger' and was very confused. First off, the burger was put on the same long cuban bread as my sandwich.... this meant that there was a hamburger patty in the middle surrounded by a ton of plain rectangular-shaped bread. Another friend ordered their Cuban Bowl, which consists of rice, beans, grilles steak, and plantains. We were all surprised when he opened the container to see one tiny shriveled up plantain. Luckily, they gave him another plantain when he asked about it, but it was very odd considering he had made a point to ask and make sure the dish came with plantains. The bigger issue to me is the condition of the restaurant. We're talking dirty, falling-off ceiling tiles, filthy AC vents (which didn't seem to be working very well- it was sweltering inside!), and an overall dingy interior. This is basic stuff that has just been left to get dirty and stayed that way- doesn't build confidence in the food.... This place is in need of a serious cleaning and some TLC and though their signature pan con bistec was very flavorful, this does not make up for the rest of the food/cleanliness/heat of the location.

I regret this so much and that's unusual, I'm a fatty when it comes to food

So, let's get into it: I don't know about you, but the one thing I do not enjoy doing is driving and circling around, being lost, just to find an establishment. So, I love that this restaurant is so easy to find with good signage, lots of nearby parking, both street and lots. Anywho, once I parked, the manager Judd was so friendly and kind and directed me to the table where my friend was seated. He overheard that I was kind of speaking loud over the music when I barely had a voice due to losing it from another event, so he kindly turned down the music for us. Once there, service was quick and attentive. I got a Fresh Paloma for my drink and the Seared Salmon for dinner. The drink was a good size and tasted good, no complaints there. As for the dinner, WOW. This was delicious, I would get this again. The flavors were there and the portions were just perfect (not too much and not too little, I usually never get enough or leave with leftovers). Also, not overpriced for Miami in my opinion. Aside from that, I did try some of my friend's off-menu pasta and it was really yummy. Furthermore, they have great weekly specials: (Note, subject to change. Please check Instagram or call for Current Week): Tuesday: Burgers and Bottles, $10 Burgers and Half off Select Bottles of Wine Wednesday: Double Loyalty Points and Fire, Flour & Fizz ($12 Pizzas, $12 Aperol Spritz, $7 Prosecco, 5pm-close) Thursday Ladies Night: Complimentary Bubbly for Ladies 4pm-7pm Sunday: 10am-4pm Bloody Mary Bar Go check it out, I don't think you'll regret it. Not to mention the amazing looking pastries and coffees when you first walk in. I ordered the steak sandwich and have no complaints. The vegetables were roasted perfectly, the bread had a great toasted crunch to it, and there was a good amount of steak in my sandwich. In addition, the sauce that they put on the bread was so good! The portion size was great and I find the price point here to be pretty fair (~$21 after tip). It was really busy when we came in but there was still some seating open for us and we were seated right away. The food came out quickly and the staff is very friendly. You can grab breakfast or lunch here Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 2:30. With lots of other dining options around the area it seems like it might be difficult for this place to really thrive but only time will tell! I headed to the alumni center today for no other reason than to try this place out. I opted for a Hurricane Toasted Salad which sounded exactly like something I like to order at Niko's at the UM foodcourt. It's one of those items that throws the word "salad" in the titel to make it seem like what you're getting is healthy, when it's really not. It's foccacia bread laid out, topped with mozarella cheese, chicken, and olive tapenade that is toasted. Then that is capped with mixed greens and balsamic vinagerette. While it may not be the idyllic salad, it certainly is delicious! Although this one was drier and not as tasty as the one from my beloved Niko's... I opted to take mine to go but there is plenty of seating inside this place and a TV if you're looking to catch some news in the morning. Although the menu is small, it offers tasty subs, grilled sandwiches, wraps, and toasted salads. Their breakfast menu is quite extensive too and they even have cortadito's! Would I go out of my way to grab lunch from her again? Probably not. But I'd definitely come hungry to a meeting or event that I ever had to attend at the alumni center and swing by here before!
