I was last in Eden Prairie in early 2020, just before the pandemic started and I stopped travelling. I used to stay in Eden Prairie when I visited the Twin Cities. I loved it, but I wanted to be closer to Xcel Energy Center for Wild games and have been staying in Eagan and Bloomington instead. I returned to Eden Prairie last month. I needed a beverage before heading over to be an audience member on The Jason Show. I had also arrived early and needed to kill time. I found this Caribou Coffee nearby and hit the drive-thru. The woman taking my order was cheerful and nice. I rattled off my cell number associated with my perks rewards. I then ordered a large sparkling blackberry lemonade. I approached the pickup window to pay. This woman was delightful to chat with. I paid with a credit card and tipped. Easy peasy! I got my drink. I thanked her and slowly headed over to Fox 9, sipping it as I went. I love the sparking tea line. It's not overly sweet and the fizziness makes me feel fancy. The blackberry was yummy. I love this beverage so much! I'd return here when I'm back in this area again. I had a wonderful experience getting my drink fix at roughly 8:45 am on Thanksgiving Day (Canadian and a Monday). I've had nothing but good experiences here, my order has never been wrong here and I treat myself at least weekly at this Caribou. The staff is always friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that my order is correct. Can it get a bit busy, yes but that's pretty standard with any popular coffee shop. She's cozy, she's easy breezy and I'm always in and out of the shop in 10 minutes or less. read more

I was excited as there was a Caibou right by our hotel. One of my favorites when I come to the mid west. I walked in went right to the counter, ordered and then had to wait 15 minutes for two cups of coffee without any acknowledgment. Finally someone asked what I was waiting for and told me we have no coffee we are brewing it. When I finally got the coffee the order was wrong and instead of being nice about it they just gave attitude. Not something I ever expected. Of course this is a major chain of coffee stores. Remember, it's hard to let individuality shine in these situations. This store in Eden Prairie does a reasonable job of that, both within the venue and with the team members. My latte was good. My sandwich very good and the service excellent. All around great attitudes by the team. Of course, I came in grinning at them and then got to smile even more as I went on with my day. Reviewers, I think those of you might consider whether you're too strong with rough issues and negative comments and might be just a tad too " First World Judgemental" in your opinions. Each of you, please consider doing the jobs of this team and then taking the static produced at them over a drink that's mass produced and of course, at lightning speed because of guests' impatience. I stopped there on Christmas eve to get a few last-minute gifts and a light lunch and coffee. The employees were great and made the stop the best part of the day. The coffee is excellent here. I like the rewards program. The inside is starting to look a little dated. It's obviously a popular place because we had several people in front of us and waited for a few minutes. The staff was very friendly and got our order correct. I stopped at Caribou around 6 a.m before hitting the highway. It wasn't busy and the service was pretty fast. I enjoyed my ice coffee. The breakfast sandwich was average. They didn't have jelly so be cautious eating a dry biscuit. I couldn't eat my chocolate iced donut because it tasted weird, however it was extremely fresh. I appreciated that their menu also had non-caffeinated options and smoothies. Variety is the spice of life! The price point is kind of high but I don't think the prices are any higher than other coffee establishments. At home, my "usual" is four shots of expresso. When I am away from home, coffee disappointment is common, so I usually do without. Yesterday and today, I visited this busy Caribou Coffee. The decor inside is decidedly Minnesota, in a warm, north-woods kind of way. The staff, friendly and efficient, were well-trained professionals. The expresso was delicious. I freaking LOVE Caribou! I used to go to this location at least once a week as they have a drive thru and an iced coffee always makes a long work day more manageable. Now that I do not drive past to on my way to work I frequent it less often. But that is no excuse for you not to go there. NOW! I love coffee joints that offer drive thru. Why, besides being able to swing through on your way to an 8 hour shift that feels like 10 hours? Because they give your pooch a treat at the drive thru window! My previous dog (RIP) lost his mind when we pulled up to this Caribou. He just KNEW he was about to get a buddy biscuit. Now I have a new dog and this was her first trip to the drive thru. Of course the pleasant gal at the window asked if my dog could have a treat. Of course I said yes. But wait. I did not just get handed a plain old every day milk bone. This gal stepped away for a moment and returned with a cup filled with whipped cream and TWO milk bones!! I thought I had died and gone to heaven and that was not even for me! Service is poor. Unfriendly, abrupt. Perhaps it's due to few staff. Whatever the reason, it's not the ideal way to conduct business.

Unfortunately our experience was dampened by the barista. A young kid who was extremely rude and had no idea what to do. He didn't know what "a shot of caramel" meant and asked me in a very confused and snide way what I was talking about. What barista doesn't understand adding a shot of flavor means?! He also interrupted and asked what size when we ordered a kids hot chocolate... um, it's a kids hot chocolate. It comes in a kid size cup. Pretty bad when a customer knows more about Caribou orders than those who work there. Didn't smile when we ordered, didn't thank us, nothing. And because he had no idea how to enter peoples orders the line was insanely long. I suggest management have a talk with their team about customer service and perhaps makes sure this young man understands how to take orders in the future. Very disappointing. read more

Starbucks who??? Caribou Coffee is so awesome, I am disappointed that they don't have one in California. I had the iced chai tea latte and it was DELICIOUS! So much better than Starbucks. I really was curious about the mint coffee drink, but I'll have to save it for next time. It looked like they had really great frozen coffee drinks as well. The feel inside is so cozy, it's like a lodge with plenty of tables if you feel like working and couches if you want to relax. There was one wall lined with outlets just so you could plug in your laptop. To top it off, wireless is FREE! How awesome is that? I could stay there for hours! It was so hot outside and it was so nice and cool inside. :) The service is really fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend Caribou Coffee. read more

Another comfy and cozy Caribou to get your coffee at. I like the layout of this location... seems to be more spacious than others. Typical free WiFi like other locations. Plus they do have a drive-thru here, which is a bonus. It was a little "tricky" getting to this store though. Don't make the mistake by turning up by Smashburger, it dead ends. Normally I love caribou and always look forward to visiting family here so I can get my fix. Only have Starbucks in my hometown...sad... But, for the holidays, I stopped here three times and, every time, the men's room was filthy nasty disgusting. Sometimes I stop by here in the mornings. It's usually around 6 AM. I can see that the morning crew is a lot better than the night crew. Of course the coffee is expensive but that doesn't stop anybody from going. I like Caribou Coffee better than Starbucks. At this location I wish it was a little bit more cozy, but that's OK. One last thing, every time I come here you are out of light roast. Almost every Caribou never has enough light roast. I don't like my coffee to look like oil. i've had consistent issues with the service at this location. i work about 5 minutes away from this location and so i usually order online. almost every time i order they get it wrong. it doesn't take much to READ an order. i wouldn't be so livid had they gotten my order right. i get sick on any type of milk besides almond, and they gave me whole, 2 %, skim on many different occasions. they overall have terrible service read more

Pretty dang good. This is the first Caribou Coffee I have been in, and the atmosphere is one that you want to stick around and drink your coffee in. Also, the staff is very friendly...drink options are abundant. And if you just like the simple, the latte was pretty dang good. There's a drive thru and it's on the way to work. Convenient is what describes this caribou. It definitely get tons of traffic in the mornings so I find myself walking inside to order than to wait in the line of cars. Service is always very nice. There's a fireplace, lots of seating. And separate female and male restrooms. Patio seating is kinda limited but those that come here don't really use the patio. read more

I received a $25 gift card to Caribou and thus began my 3-4 week streak of using this chain coffee stores vs Starbucks. I found a drink I liked that really rivaled my long-term loyalty to Starbucks. Unfortunately, the streak ended today. As I briskly ordered in the drive thru as there was no wait. I pulled up to the window and was prepared to pay but, no one open the window and greeted me or attempted to take my payment. I thought that was odd but I said maybe they'll be super quick and hand my drink off and then take my payment. I sat and sat and watched 3 different staff people go by and interact without acknowledging me. Needless to say, I drove away without the drink as the wait and no acknowledgement was too much for me. I proceeded to try and call the location and talk to a manager but twice the phone went to voice mail and said the team members were busy helping customers. I thought what customers it was 4pm in the after and I saw no one inside and I was the only car in the drive thru. This is why I have been a faithful Starbucks customer. Customer service is a must! This is the last time I will visit this location. They are so focused on squeezing people through as quickly as possible that they forgot they are serving fellow human beings. I only order a large coffee with light ice and a breakfast sandwich. They have frequently given me the wrong sandwich, or put cream in my coffee instead of ice, or decided coffee with ice meant latte. They appear friendly, but it's just a front. They want your money and want you gone so they can get more money from the next person. They have average service time clocks above the drive-thru window in the store, but what good is speedy service if they consistently hand you the wrong food and drink. What is it with this place? It used to be convenient and super reliable. Now - there's SO much personnel turnover, they can never get your order straight. (It's an easy order). Sometimes the coffee's super-watery, sometimes they forget to add milk or sweetener. The drive-thru can take 15 minutes now that they have a confused, under-staffed, ever-changing and inexperienced service, who's more concerned with up-selling you on Amy's Blend or Reindeer Blend for the troops than they are getting your order correct. Lately, I've had maybe a 40% change of getting a good one. The rest of the time, it's sour, watery coffee, and/or missing milk and/or sweetener. I've been going there for three years, and the fall-off in quality has been precipitous in the past six months or so. I suspect "management" has picked up on this - there was a management-type working the drive-thru window a week or two ago, and I could see the staff hustle for a change. I'm not a "Perks Member" - I'm not paranoid, but it's a little weird to be next in line at the drive thru ordering thing and hear people give their cell number as ID. Anyway, not sure why the quality has fallen off so much. I know they're trying, but I'm not one of those half-caff/decaf/depth charge, whipped cream with cinnamon orders. Friday afternoon at 5:30 PM, the people that works over there at that time they are horrible people, two females one lady who took the order very grumpy lady a young grumpy lady. She don't smile she got the rude face zero customer service, The other lady who makes coffee the coffee taste horrible that lady give you a nice smile she have no customer service skills either. Friday afternoon is the worst time to go to Caribou Coffee. And the coffee taste horrible they don't know how to make coffee at all. I like most Caribous, but not this one. This is the loudest coffee shop I have ever been in, and its not the customers. I don't know if its the acoustics of the place or not, but the staff doesn't help. They bang those coffee drums constantly and LOUD. It seems like the grinder is always on, even when the place is practically empty. Loud! Do not go there if you are trying to study or work, which is usually easy in most coffee houses.
