Stopped in for a coffee on my way out of a doctor appointment, and was really pleased with my experience. I was greeted right away, and both of the baristas were super friendly. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk, and they filled it all the way to the top. Yummy, roasted flavor, and quick service. Plenty of seating in the area with lots of windows, if you feel like staying, but I took mine to go. They also have ice cream and really delicious looking baked goods. read more

This coffee shop has the absolute best location. It's tucked inside an office building on the ground floor next to Centennial Lakes. You can either look at the view from inside, sit outside or go for a walk. They even have ice cream! Next time I want to try affogato which is espresso pored over ice cream of your choice. I don't know that you need to go out of your way to visit here, but if you're walking along the path this is a very pleasant surprise. While in town, the path along the creek called Centennial Lakes was suggested as an activity, and as lunch neared & we weighed our options, we were lucky enough to be in front of Ambrosia Cafe. A ground floor cafe in a medical office - how good could it be, I wondered? It was quite good, actually: I had a turkey panini that was very flavorful and hearty. The iced tea was fresh brewed. With it being Summer, we ate outside at the many tables in front of the restaurant. (This might be the optimum time to visit - no ambience to speak of dining inside, but while there are tables and chairs, it seems more grab and go) Staff was very friendly. If you find yourself along there in agreeable weather, this is a very good option for lunch. read more

We found this spot walking along the Centennial Lakes Park trail. Heads up - if you put this spot into your GPS, it will bring you to the Alina Health building. This is around the back facing the pond. The staff is polite and the coffee was tasty. I opted for a cold brew and my companion chose a breve. She is a bit of a coffee snob and was impressed with the smoothness and lack of bitterness in her drink. As we were walking away, what I assume was the owner/manager made it a point to ask us how our coffee was. My only note was the prices were a bit higher than expected, but I guess I should've anticipated paying a bit more in this part of town. The space backs right up to some swings that face the pond (although they also have tables to sit at). I could not have asked for a more peaceful setting in the middle of Edina. read more

I'm not a coffee drinker and seldom find myself in medical- focused buildings but I was today...and I liked it! While waiting for a friend who was at an appointment upstairs, I wandered down and found Ambrosia. I was lucky. I found a clean setting that offered a very pleasant view (ok...a little snowy and windy) and two employees who were polite, eager to assist and smiling. I enjoyed a hot chocolate (with a touch of rasberry as I recall) and a fresh chocolate/chocolate chiip muffin...which was warmed by one of the staff members. This is not a setting that's going to generate tons of cash. However, it is definitely a place that likely generates pleasant surprises, and positive guest reactions. Congratulations! read more

I was near centennial lakes looking for coffee and found this place. I was a little confused at first when I pulled up and saw the coffee shop is in the medical center. The cafe is on the lower level of the building yet still has a very warm homey feel. The staff was very friendly and kind. The view out back of centennial lakes was so pretty and I can imagine In The warmer months taking the coffee outside and sitting near the water. They had the typical coffee choices nothing too crazy or over the top. Also very tasty breakfast sandwich and donut!! read more

I've been going to Centennial Lakes Medical Center for years and I live nearby. I've passed Ambrosia Coffee a million times. Today, after horrible service at P.F. Chang's, I wanted to get a treat. For some reason, I stopped here instead of my usual Starbucks or Caribou Coffee. What a gem! The Aztec Mocha with soy was fantastic, but the other find was this vegan Cranberry Orange cookie made by Alternative Baking Company. It was really good! In following my theme of various doctors offices, clinics, etc following a compression fracture in my back (T12). I had to return to an orthopedic surgeons office to get an x-ray done (2nd trip this week). This place backs up to the absolutely stunning Centennial Lakes in Edina, great place for a walk or to go skating in the winter. It's in the bottom floor of the Centennial Lakes Medical Center. It's a Coffee shop but, I was here for Lunch. They had 5-6 Sandwiches, 5-6 Salads, fruit, bars, treats of various types, 2 soups, and tons of Coffee. I had my caffeine supply for the day so this is strictly for the food, specifically the Italiano Panini at $5.50. Ham, Genoa salami, with Provolone, tomatoes, and a FANTASTIC Pesto/Mayo sauce, heated and pressed in the Panini press. Great sandwich, came with kettle chips (or salad) and a pickle. Not a horrible atmosphere either kind of coffee like, not sure if they had wi-fi or not. They appear to have a rear entrance from the Centennial Lakes Park not sure when it's open or not (I'd hate come come in from the park only to find out I have to walk around the massive building). read more

Saw this place as we were walking around centennial lakes and thought it was worth a shot. Got an iced mocha for me and a vanilla latte for my husband. The mocha had some sort of grainy powder in it and the latte had a weird taste. After a few sips we both threw our drinks away as they were too gross to drink. If there's any upside to having to go to the doctor's office, this place is it. I've always gotten friendly service from the nice gentleman behind the counter. I usually only get a vanilla latte and a pastry or dessert (always tasty), but at my last visit I decided to try the food, and I got a hot turkey panini. It had a really delicious spread on it (some kind of pesto mayo, maybe?), and the salad it came with had high quality greens. I was surprised at how tasty it was because having worked in medical facilities before, I'd learned to not expect much from the food service. Ambrosia Coffee exceeds my expectations, and then some. I'm really glad they're there so I can enjoy a coffee to take my mind off the inevitable, painful medical bill that will soon be coming my way. read more

This place is beyond 5 stars!!! Their service is awesome and they know how to take care of their customers. I ordered a turkey panini with pepper jack with pesto mayo on the side but unfortunately was given the wrong sandwich (had swiss instead and pesto on the sandwich) but I really didn't realize it was wrong and decided that pesto mayo on the side was my way of thinking I could make this sandwich healthier. Either way I ate the "wrong" sandwich not knowing it was wrong and I didn't regret taking that first bite! It was delicious! The grilled paninis has different option meats and cheeses for you to choose from. Meats included: turkey, ham, chicken, and salami, and cheeses were: swiss, provolone, pepper jack, and I think one other. It came with the standard tomato and pesto mayonnaise, and was grilled press to perfection. Not to say that I need to visit this medical building more often but man, centennial lakes, I'm going to have to go ice skating more often and run into this little gem for a pick me up coffee and lunch. read more

This place is hidden, but I saw it from the paddle boats on the water. We had coffee and sandwiches, it was honestly amazing. I didn't expect anything really, a club sandwich and a chicken salad sandwich but it might have been the best I've ever had. My friend and me even commented on how great the coffee was before we had our food. You can also sit outside by the water and trees. Definitely worth a visit, if this place was in a business area it would for sure me the favorite lunch spot of many people. It's kind of hidden with a small sign so look for it! read more

Wonderful, delightful little coffee, pastry and sandwich shop located on Centennial Lakes Park, lower level of the doctor's office building. I love to go to my doctor because, after my appointment, I can go to the coffee shop and talk to Dave, the manager, who is dedicated to running his shop to the highest quality standards and customer service. He wants us to be happy and it shows! It's really fun to eat a blueberry muffin and then walk outside around the lake during summer days! It's convenient because the door to the park and lake is connected to his shop and when I'm done walking, I can walk right in and get an iced latte to go. I love it! It's the best!
