This place is super close to my house and great for a day working outside the house. The inside of the store is very clean and there is plenty of seating. They also have power strips for easy device charging. I haven't had the issues others have noted with long waits and poor service. While the majority of people working here are younger, I've always had great service and received my items quickly. I had one instance where my coffee was made incorrectly, but other than that, not much to complain about. They do have a drive thru and a selection of the Caribou retail items as well (cups, growlers, etc).

Holy cow, I was surprised to see nearly everyone having the exact same experience as me. (Slow, bumbling, almost inept service) The guy at the counter was very nice and took my order right away. After that, there were about 4 other people standing around tidying up the place (looking busy) but not actually making any orders. I stood around for a while and finally a guy (who was the lead, I assume) asked if I ordered the mocha - I nodded, and he proceeded to make a regular mocha even though I ordered a turtle mocha. So to summarize - slow service and I received the wrong order, but I guess the coffee was still good.. Will not visit again unless I am in dire need of a caffeine fix.

The Pros: This place is just dangerously convenient. Its the only coffee place on West Circle and it has a drive thru. The combo of chains is also nice for a sit down casual lunch. Cons: I would agree with a previous reviewer that is odd that such a mom-friendly establishment has no high chairs. Hopefully this is fixed soon. Be sure to try: the tasty turkey sandwich

NOT busy, any of the five workers could've taken out garbage, cleaned the floor, or wiped counters. Rest was as bad.

My cookies 'n cream cooler was very sloppy. The drink wasn't blended fully thru. My drink was clearly not made with love.

The banh mi is indeed amazing. I had never had any banh mi before, but it was so good. I went with the "bacon" option and it was super tasty. Also, it was massive. Great portion size. My only regret is that I didn't go here for dinner the night before, because it would have made for a good dinner and leftovers. It was a bit hard to eat in the car on the drive back, so sadly I didn't get to finish it. The chips were also great. I also got two donuts (maple and the blueberry) to go. I inhaled the blueberry donut about 3 hours into the trip somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin, and the maple I managed to save until the next morning (I kept it in my fridge and then microwaved it for 10 seconds and it was delicious. I had to fight off my carb-obsessed cat, because she wanted it for herself). I will be back every time I'm in Rochester, probably multiple times per trip, and I will be buying a half dozen donuts (at least) to bring back home with me. I am eagerly waiting for the next work retreat just so I can come here. It's really that good.

"You can't refuse a request from a dying man." (Abe "Fish" Vigoda as Sal Tessio)…read more "I'm not dead yet!" (Abe Vigoda as himself, addressing rumors.) This super trippy coffee shop kills it harder than Abe in "The Godfather" when it comes to delivering the goods! Heavenly vegan donuts, that is. Wait...wrong Abe? My sister and I are not vegans, but we stopped here for breakfast several days in a row on our way to the Mayo Clinic earlier this year purely out of curiosity. It was really helpful in the ordering process to see the various pretty donuts labelled and strung above the counter. We purchased almost all the flavors to bring to the hospital for our family to try, and the consensus was that the ube and the plum lime were possibly the most delicious donuts we've had anywhere! Honestly! Other outstanding flavors included the tiramisu, the banana stand, and the blueberry crumble. As delightful as the donuts were, I was disappointed in my drink orders. I could only get through a few sips of both my dirty chai latte and the Almond Joy coffee. Old Abe gives some hardcore psychedelic vibes to the point that I wondered if a hallucinogen had been slipped into my coffee before heading into the ladies' room. 1,000 cats hissing at you from the walls will cause you to question your sanity! The rest of the décor was just as wild, from THE Minnesota Prince to an apocalyptic Godzilla declaring that the end was near. The question "1880's stage actor assassin or the bear" might apply in the polka dot room, so it's best to sit facing out with your back against a wall...regardless of which Abe the shop is named after. If the apocalypse, John Wilkes Booth, wildlife, the Chief of the Waponis, or the mob takes me out to sleep with the fishes, and I come back in my next life as the leader of a subversive cult, I'll have to revisit the book room of this shop to view their anarchist primers. Also, I'm sending these donuts to McConaughey as a bribe. He's a fan of Lincolns, so maybe he'll do an Old Abe commercial where he contemplates the meaning of life while noshing on a ube donut. Penny for your thoughts?

She never left us waiting for service and offered some great suggestions on the menu. While we know this is a brewery, they also serve batch cocktails, instead of a full bar. We started with their version of an old fashioned, which wasn't our first choice but they were actually tasty albeit a bit sweet. Since the weather was below 0, I craved something hot and comforting. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff which was tasty. Included braised local beef, mushrooms, onions, garlic, parmesan, cream sauce, dill, house-made fettuccini, topped with sour cream. The sauce was light so you didn't feel like it weighed you down. My husband ordered the birria tacos. Beef brisket, white onions, mozzarella, cilantro, corn tortilla, green salsa, beef broth, lime Although they were tasty, they were quite greasy. Prices were reasonable. I would come back again and try the pizza.

Management can make or break a restaurant- read for more!…read more My partner and I decided on a whim to try the drive-thru at this Panera location. We got to the menu and had hope in our eyes: we hadn't had a proper lobster dish since living on the east coast. Our mouths were watering and our stomachs were grumbling as we anticipated trying the advertised "new!" lobster roll and lobster mac & cheese. We started our order and asked for a variety of things, including one each of the lobster entrees. As we finalized our order, the first hiccup- they were out of the lobster rolls. "Darn" my partner said, "I'll get a lobster mac instead." We changed our order, confirmed all looked correct on the screen, then slowly approached the window. There we waited for several mouth-watering and stomach yearning minutes while it looked like they were prepping our order. We were then asked to pull into the drive-thru waiting spot while they completed everything. Fast forward about 15 minutes, and an employee finally brings us the food we had finally been craving! Second hiccup- the delay was due to them being out of lobster for the day, so they finally realized that and brought us the rest of our food, with some orders of regular mac and cheese as a substitute. Even after waiting all that time, we were asked to pull into the drive-thru again! This time, to get our drinks and a partial refund. At least they wanted to try making it right. After waiting a few more minutes in line, we were handed our drinks, and the manager mumbled to ask how many orders of the lobster mac we ordered to calculate the refund. With a bit under half our total refunded, we thought all was well and drove off. Then upon checking our bag, my partner realized the third AND fourth hiccup- they got her salad order wrong and forgot my sandwich entirely! After swiftly turning around, now more frustrated than hungry, we proceeded back to the restaurant and walked in this time. A very friendly employee greeted us and saw our bag in hand, asking "oh no, what's missing?" He offered us some tasty treats for our trouble, and asked for the manager to come make it right. Soon the assistant manager came over and attentively listened to our (now lengthy) story of our evening's journey trying to receive the correct order. She realized our missing sandwich was still on the prep line and saw that we were given the wrong salad. She promptly said the staff would re-make our entire order and refund the remaining balance of our bill. We were soon handed a bag of the finally correct order! (and several more baguettes) The same mumbling manager came over once again to complete our refund, only remarking that they were out of lobster but making no attempt to apologize or show any care or remorse for the mistake. During the whole encounter, my partner and I heard from a couple employees that the manager is not very well regarded, and that the assistant manager is much more liked and better skilled at running the restaurant. From this interaction, it's clear that she is much more adept at customer service and leading a team well. Had she not stepped in to fully right or wrong experience, I don't think we would consider ever visiting again. I hope she is soon promoted! We'll try back again sometime soon to get some much desired lobster rolls. Tl;dr: went through the drive-thru and ordered lobster entrees and other food, had a long wait and they ran out of lobster + got my + partner's entire order wrong, but ultimately comped the food and gave the correct order after all the hassle. Assistant manager was outstanding and friendly at making it right but manager was dry and not very helpful.
