This was the happiest and most friendly of the Caribou shops I've visited, (and there are many), the brew was perfect, choices pointed out. A few up-sale recommendations, brewed at correct temp, everything fresh, shop clean. So why three stars? The drive through and parking lot configuration and pedestrian access. Just driving in to the small parking area there is a cross over through the drive through lane and the short drive in too close for comfort. There are at least two doors for entry and the walker will have to cross over in the busy lanes. On one side it would be difficult for drivers to see pedestrians and people also drive in too fast. I would have loved to post five stars but that entrance avoids the stars. read more

This was my first experience of Caribou Coffee and I didn't get coffee . The place was clean with ample spots to work, eat, or hangout. Mr. Mike was the staffer that took my order and was super helpful. When I was asking about food options, he told me about what wasn't available and a secret menu option called the Honey Sriracha Bagel (bacon, egg, and cheese with sriracha on an everything bagel that's toasted). It was so good and hot that I forgot to take a picture of it! Compres to Starbucks, this place has better food options (just no egg bites). There's fresh bakery items too. I got a sparkling green tea lemonade from their boosted energy drink line. It has the caffeine of 3 shots of espresso. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice flavor. I would probably give it a 4/5. Since the service was stellar and the food was great, I stand by the 5 stars. I've read other reviews about the service and I can say for certain that Mr. Mike isn't the issue but the solution! read more

This particular location has gone down hill over the past few months. Miss the peach black tea, though all the coffee drinks I like are still available. The real bummer though is the service. Today in particular- the woman behind the counter was maybe having a bad day, but she was dismissive and really gave the impression that she was bothered to do her job. This has happened with other staff here too, though I will say the younger guy behind the counter was polite, friendly, and helpful, and was the bright spot out of the experience today. This place is super close to my house and great for a day working outside the house. The inside of the store is very clean and there is plenty of seating. They also have power strips for easy device charging. I haven't had the issues others have noted with long waits and poor service. While the majority of people working here are younger, I've always had great service and received my items quickly. I had one instance where my coffee was made incorrectly, but other than that, not much to complain about. They do have a drive thru and a selection of the Caribou retail items as well (cups, growlers, etc). read more

Holy cow, I was surprised to see nearly everyone having the exact same experience as me. (Slow, bumbling, almost inept service) The guy at the counter was very nice and took my order right away. After that, there were about 4 other people standing around tidying up the place (looking busy) but not actually making any orders. I stood around for a while and finally a guy (who was the lead, I assume) asked if I ordered the mocha - I nodded, and he proceeded to make a regular mocha even though I ordered a turtle mocha. So to summarize - slow service and I received the wrong order, but I guess the coffee was still good.. Will not visit again unless I am in dire need of a caffeine fix. read more

The Pros: This place is just dangerously convenient. Its the only coffee place on West Circle and it has a drive thru. The combo of chains is also nice for a sit down casual lunch. I was happy to see the Einstein /Caribou combo nearby (at a very convenient location) after loving the ones I'd visited in Ohio and Iowa. Sadly.... Will have to head to one of those instead, as this one is a wreck! Gave it a couple shots. Both times I counted at least five people working, but still had to wait and wait for service. (First time, one woman was ahead of me. Today there was no one in line.) Both stops were to pick up a pumpkin bagel like I'd enjoyed at the Des Moines location. Both times they were sold out (do they realize it's October?). OK. Fine...can call it poor planning or busy day. So today I tried something else, but yuck. Very little flavor. The worst part was the mess. Cups and napkins from customers left on tables, newspapers strewn about on the dining counter, it was desperately in need of sweeping, ugly looking smears all over the front order counter, garbage on the floor of the kitchen area, stacks of boxes of supplies in their walkway behind the counter, and... no TP in the ladies room! (thankfully I noticed and ducked into the men's instead!) I am a big fan of Caribou, but won't be back at this one. The last straw was when I finally did get my bagel and the bag she plopped on the counter was splotched all over with cream cheese! This place needs serious help. I recommend you keep right on driving past it and hit a better shop. I sure will. read more

So apparently their menu changed and their prices went up which did not reflect their menu prices in the actual drive thru. They said they can't take the egg off of a sandwich because they can't modify items. If we were wanting to swap items or whatever I'd understand but they really couldn't leave egg off? Ok. So we called and talked to someone and they said they were going to comp our entire order. The lady had attitude the whole time. When we went to receive our comped meals, the lady was SUPER rude, said there was no names written down, said she would only comp our food and not our drinks, and made us go on our phones to prove that we actually called and spoke to someone. The customer service is seriously lacking and I wish I would have gotten the lady's name who "helped" us. She was incredibly rude and clearly hates her job. read more

I guess I am done with the Caribou/Einstein combo places. I used to like their breakfast bagels. The menu change noted by Samie was not for the better in terms of food i liked. They got rid of my favorite sandwich the Chorizo Sunrise. They lost the jalapeño cheese bagel. I can deal with it, but not happy. So, I tried the Bacon egg and cheese bagel. First time was good but was a little dry. Today asked for a schmear on it. Sorry sir no modifications. Same as was reported. I asked why, they just repeated that they can't make modifications. It's a bagel store. I expect to get things the way i like them. So, I gave up, canceled the order and left. I went to the other store, same result, so, corporate change has ruined it for me. Never had a good experience there, though I like Caribou coffee. Sad, we have no real bagel stores in Roch anymore, very sad. read more

ss many times as I have given this specific location a chance the quality of the food has been a 2/10 consistently. my craft coffee was Luke warm (caramel high rise latte) and the last two times I ordered a blended vanilla cooler in the summer it was soupy liquid not blended properly. also the bagels usually come with just the smallest amount of cream cheese that I find it hard to believe this is acceptable. I am not impressed with this location. almost every other location has consistent lily done a better job. read more

HORRIBLE service. They are really incapable of processing more than one person's order at a time, and have no process to fill larger orders together. My family of 5 has been here twice, each time ordering 5 drinks and 5 bagels. Simple right? Food service 101. Each time it's been a cluster ef. The bagel guy randomly drops off a bagel on the counter, he will tell you what it is but not who it belongs to. Maybe he'll arrive later with more of your order, but maybe not. The coffee guy brings 2 out of the 5 drinks, then get distracted and starts making coffees for the person behind you. If you ask, they'll hurriedly make you whatever you tell them they missed without checking the order. Orders get lost, 2 to 3 items lay on the counter unclaimed at any given time, and half of my order gets cold while I try to get somebody's attention. read more

Convenient location but consistently slow. I have waited 10 + min sitting at the window when I have only 1-2 drinks ordered. There have been times when several orders behind me are completed while I wait for a simple iced tea. Often a frustrating experience that I have started to steer clear of. read more

The opening of the store was definitely a struggle with wait times and mistakes and staffing. I am sorry to hear about these experiences, but would encourage everyone to try again. I had a very positive experience today at this location. The cashier who was exceptionally friendly, greeted me upon arrival and asked if I was a perks member (usually I'm not asked) and proceeded to take my order completely and accurately. I am sorry to do this but I have given this caribou/bagel site plenty of opportunity to get things right. Just left, after waiting a decent amount of time, I ordered a hot apple cider and a breakfast sandwich to go...got to the car and headed home only to discover that I received someone else's coffee (after the employee yelled out "medium hot apple blast") with the apple cider whip/caramel topping...it was gross! Sadly this is strike 3 for me in getting the wrong order at this location. I can not waste more money here getting stuff I do not like or want. I like Caribou. I really do. I enjoy the coffee and bagel sandwiches. However, the drive through at the 19th st. location is infuriating. I have been there three times in the past three weeks and I had to wait in the drive-through for no less than 20 minutes each time. There is plenty of parking to move people ahead if their order is taking exceptional time but they have no interest in using it. They just keep that car at the window. Therefore, the customers behind whose food is ready, are sitting and waiting while their order gets cold. What is the point of having a drive through? Room for improvement here. read more

The service here is more often than not disappointing. Though they do correct their mistake after you have to park and go back inside and point out said mistake. With service already painfully slow, it's the bad service cherry on top of an ill managed Sunday . Coffee is usually right but for some reason they have trouble executing a plain, not toasted bagel with plain cream cheese. Which is probably the easiest thing you could make at a bagel shop, and what is usually wrong when I get it. One time there was no cream cheese! And literally two days later they not only barely put any cream cheese on but they also toasted it! I get you are busy, and things get lost through the cracks but so does McDonald's and they always get my order right. Take our money and precious time to Starbucks instead if I'm going to have to walk inside every time anyway. read more

While I love Caribou and Einstein Bros Bagels, this location is consistently slow. Having to wait at least 15 mins (and up to 40) every time is ridiculous. It seems there is always a few people "working" who are not doing anything while the 3 good workers are trying to get all orders filled and look very frustrated. My guess is poor management. This location takes way too long and I won't go back to this location again. So sad considering it is so close to my house. read more

I like the convenience of a drive thru but the wait time is a long one every time I go there. Today was no exception. But today when I was handed my order, a 3/4 filled "milk chocolate almond milk mocha" I didn't find out till I got home that it was not even remotely close to that. It was more like coffee with a little creamer. I understand that orders get mixed up (I'm hoping it wasn't actually intended to BE a mocha otherwise more training on how they're made may be necessary) but when I shell out more than $5 for a cup, it should be the right order and/or consistently made. Average prices for bagel, egg and cheese sandwich. Went here with my mother for the first time, wanting to give it a try. After waiting to order, her bagel and side of cream cheese and my egg, cheese, sausage bagel took about 5 minutes. The bagels are very skimpy, to begin with. I immediately noticed the cheese on mine wasn't melted, and took a bite to prove my theory correct: it was cold. I took it up to the register, had all 4 workers look at me multiple times, and eventually one worker was instructed by another worker to ask what I wanted. I explained it was cold (which is truly disgusting for a sandwich with both meat and egg on it), and asked for it to be heated. He put it in the toaster oven, asked if it needed to be toasted more but it was fine. The bagel was dry, the turkey sausage patty was literally less than 1/4 inch think, and it was overall much worse than I could have made myself if I were home. I won't be back to this location, unless it's to grab a coffee. There was A TON of garbage on the floor which was disgusting. The windowsills have sesame seeds, crumbs, and god knows what else coated on them. read more
