The pastry wasn't at all flaky or buttery but rather hard and biscuit-like. Maybe I went in with the wrong expectation of what an apple dumpling was but it wasn't what I had wanted exactly. This delivers a rich creamy nutty flavor. You won't pick any fruity flavor but rather dark chocolate. Along with their great menu options, they also offer some great branded merch options. It can be punched at 3 different locations, a cheese shop and a meat shop! The cheese shop downtown has been on the go-2 list. I know I'll be back here, for one of the pies, for real this time. There's plenty of space, so it didn't feel cramped at all, which I really appreciated. It's also located in the quaint Tosa Village, which is a plus too. We both ordered the Verano and it was incredible! Definitely something I'd come back for. The barista was friendly and available to answer any questions without making us feel rushed. Overall, a really nice, low-key place if you're looking for good coffee and a comfortable environment to sit for a while.
