a person taking a piece of chicken out of a pan

I can't believe these people have the audacity to sell this chicken! I had just tried the Caridad on Kingsbridge and loved it, so we decided to get a rotisserie chicken from this location. This chicken was inedible, it seem that it was cooked a few days ago and they warmed it up. It was so dry that it was flaky and looked like it was left out to n the counter for days. That was $15 wasted!! I hope they go out of business.

The baked chicken was good but everything else was terrible. My fiancé's chicharron was so hard and dry, week old it hurt my teeth. My daughter tasted the Pernil and asked why we went there. It was one of the few places open. My teeth still hurt.

Rude service from servers who act like you are interrupting their day. I don't know who wants their avocado in a styrofoam cup - looks very tacky. When asked why not a plastic container, the server replied that "those are only for beans". Reallly!

I was told this is where the locals go. The food is great and authentic. Perfectly seasoned, large portions. Nice staff. The deserts were fresh. If your looking for Spanish food in the Bronx this is the spot!

"I want... I want my Cuchifrito!!" -- Demetrius D. Caridad, is a franchise fast food Spanish restaurant with multiple locations. With my sweet 2013 Valentine along with his brother-in-law, we elected takeout for a whole chicken with yellow rice, salad with beet all totally approximately $50.00. Who puts beet in their salad? MEH. Neither of us request beet in our salad as it was automatically dumped in. Beet reminisce me of my former love's mother of Saltibarsciai, a traditional Lithuanian cold beet soup. Beet is not for everyone's individual taste or liking as I do not consume beet in any shape or form as it ain't to my liking. The chicken was prepared as rotisserie style, nothing uniquely Spanish as I'd hoped, but was very moist and somewhat salty. The yellow Spanish rice also leans on the salty side. This Caridad lies in East Tremont in the Bronx but sadly no Ceviche. It serves as a local hangout for the community and opens late. Atmospheric conditions are multiple TV screens all viewing Spanish sports. Seating is ample where the tables are embedded with the local favorite, NY Yankees player (past or present). This restaurant appeared somewhat empty on a Friday night. It appears to be dark, but clean and staff are fluent in Spanish as well as English. A bar in the corner of the restaurant serve patrons of mostly middle-aged men whose highlight of the week is a whiskey or a brandy to dispense their former glory life's adventures to anyone who listen staving off a mental breakdown. All alcohol genres at the bar are served in Snifter glasses. All patrons are subject to disclose valid photo identification in accordance with NYS law of age 21+ to be served. There were no Churros either as I have a craving for Churro covered with warm chocolate. I wanted to try Cuchifrito con Ajo (Puerto Rican style) but sadly my party of three opt for chicken, salad and yellow rice. Franchise fast food is not my pick for taste, but Caridad gets the job done to fill my hunger pangs, amid the fore mentioned. "I want my Cuchifrito uptown, downtown, Spring, Winter, Summer, or Fall I want my Cuchifrito mmm... always hits the right spot" -- Demetrius D.

This spot is one of my favorites when passing through the Bronx. Food is always fresh and very tasteful, prices are reasonable and they always have delicious family dinner combos. You will enjoy Spanish food and appreciate it!

This place has fell off. Use to always come here as a child and the food was amazing. Came here for Morcilla (aka black pudding or blood sausage) and guineo. The Morcilla was super hard inside and out and the guineo had no taste at all. The garlic sauce called mojito didn't have any taste at all. Nothing tasted fresh. Very disappointed.

    TISSUE MY FOOD

food is straight trash 1st of all, secondly i found tissue in my food, save your stomach and yourself the disappointment and just go somewhere else

Whole chicken with rice and beans..potato salad..plantains!! Great delivery service!!!

Try this place for the first time. I didn't like the service, eggs weren't cook to order. Very overpriced too. I wouldn't try it again.

The ribs will make you want to not share and their even amazing the day after The Lo-mein house special has so much flavor, the sauce is good, the pieces of beef and shrimp in it is my fav because it's packed with juiciness The rice is good it's definetly different from most Chinese cuisines but I'd like it with duck sauce or the sauce from the ribs The sizzling steak is juicy when it first comes out don't let it get cold The shrimp is nice and fresh but it could use alittle something but for the Chinese cuisine to make good food like this im not complaining

So first the place is a neighborhood place, so it is a simple nostalgic experience. We ordered a couple of things, I got general tso chicken with pork fried rice, my niece ordered a shrimp dish, I also order soup and a house special lo mein. The general tso chicken was really good, it was flavorful and the chicken was crispy. The lo mein was also good. The shrimp dish from my niece was ok but I would not order it again. The soup was also good but I would have liked it with noodles. The service was good, the waiter was attentive and kept checking on us. The place is old style and simple. There were a lot of families there eating. I would definitely one back and try other dishes.
