I was very disappointed with the success and proceeds of our sale. I really expected to ar least cover the base cost.

Never heard back from them despite calling several times and filling out their forms online. Not good business etiquette.

    Estate Sales Made Easy

My Husband and I stumbled upon an estate sale this past Friday. The company that managed this sale…read moreseemed to be organized and professional, at first. Let me warn you, that you are treated with very little respect upon entry. First of all, have you ever had your purse taken away and stored while you shop? Yes. They ask that your purse be dropped into a bin for safekeeping while you shop. It appears that they fear the shoplifters. Oh, let me back up one notch. These people have you wait outside and have you come in to shop a few at a time. There are signs posted everywhere regarding their rules. One specifically stated that if you have a child with you (12 years old and younger) that you must hold his/her hand the entire time you are shopping. Really? 12 years old? How ignorant is that? Clearly these people have no regard for potential customers. After reading the horrible reviews here on Yelp, I'm going to assume that the lady we encountered was Beverly. It smells of her. This woman treated a customer in front of us, with the utmost disrespect that only she knows how. A young man with his 5 year old, Hispanic, attempting to make a purchase--- wow! She was so rude. She claimed that his son was scratching up all the furniture with a tin canned piggy bank, shaped like a train. We watched her claw into this young man, in utter disbelief. All the while the young man showing complete and total calm and politeness. She was beyond unprofessional and needs to understand, that her attitude and actions will not be tolerated by customers. Yes, I agree, that we are probably nobody to her when we walk into the homes she represents. However, if you are planning an estate sale, please reconsider your choice of this company. We were given a receipt totaling $12 worth of merchandise. The gentleman in the garage area suggested we could pay $10 as we are retired military and he was humble enough to offer us that $2 discount. He said to mention it to Beverly when we checked out. Upon approaching checkout, we watched her rip into the young Hispanic man over his son. Then she ripped into us over the $2 discount we were told to ask for. LOL! It was your very own rep that suggested the discount. We didn't care either way. Trust me, we had the $12! Again, I say, " shame on this woman," for her lack of professionalism and common courtesy. I clearly stood up for the young man as I left my goods at her table and walked out. Please, don't let her talk to you in the manner she is used to. I told her that if she ever talked to my Kid the way she did this man's kid, I would knock her out. Seriously, someone had to put her in her place. I'm so glad I did. Please please please.... look elsewhere, when hiring an estate sale company. If she can treat us like she did, what else is she capable of? Horrible experience and she is the winner of all the bad experiences we have EVER had. Grand prize goes to this company for rudeness and meanness. Fire them, before you hire them. Don't let them steal your dignity by making you wait in ridiculous lines and taking your purse from you upon check in. That should've been my clue to exit right away!!!! Shame on this company!!!! The African woman that follows you around with her high pressure sales pitch! Ha ha ha .... what in the world is wrong with these people?!?! What a joke. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! Don't say you weren't warned! PS I await her reply to my YELP review, as I am sure she has a mouthful! Shame shame shame on her!

OMG...where to start! Just don't. Don't hire these crooks. I started a "hold" pile at their hold…read moretable, only to come back and find they had removed price tags and replaced them with higher prices ($2-$5 here and there, hoping I wouldn't notice). Another shopper told me this had happened to her, too. If they rip off buyers, imagine what they do to the people hiring them to do the sale. They really need 1/2 a star or even a negative star to rate loser business' like this one.

I requested a moving quote through Yelp and heard back from several companies, but Spartan…read moreimmediately stood out because they were the most communicative from the start. Since I live alone, it was important to hire a company I could truly rely on. The owner, Christie, offered to come to my home to provide an accurate quote, which I really appreciated. Their pricing was very fair. On moving day, the crew arrived right on time and had no issue making an additional stop at my storage unit. They were friendly, extremely hardworking, and incredibly fast. They also took extra care while loading and unloading, making sure my furniture and belongings were protected and handled properly. Even with a long day that included a three-hour drive to a rural location, they arrived on schedule and maintained their energy the entire time. Everything arrived intact and was unloaded exactly as requested. I was very pleased with Spartan's service and I would absolutely use them again.

Monica says to Rachel, "I gave you one job." - "Friends"…read more Actually, my move involved multiple jobs but arguably one of the most important ones Spartan failed at. Initial communication was very promising. They had a solid price (I obtained multiple quotes), could do it on the day I needed it (which was evolving because of escrow close) and stated they had their "A-Team" available for my move. We ended up booking them for a March move which involved moving a townhome plus a 3 - 4 bedroom sized storage unit (10x20 efficiently packed)! Originally they seemed to understand the requirements as they brought two trucks but one truck was a 20 footer which turned out to be a tad too small. We ended up making multiple trips in our car to offset. Team was on time and did a solid job with the first part of the move. So far so good. But, I think they realized after taking lunch they were a bit behind and so when they arrived at the house started double timing, not always efficiently. To be fair, taking apart the Murphy bed at the new house cost some time but we needed the space for one of the king beds. Boxes we told them to place in garage but we had to tell them to leave spaces to walk in between. First attempt was just placing all the boxes together like a storage unit. Upstairs, we noticed some scratches all the floor when I had mentioned all through the process starting with bidding that we had wooden floors and please have experience at keeping the floors undamaged. They put the furniture together, helped out with trash pickup and I gave each mover $80 tip. That was a solid tip for an all day, three location move. But it might have been too much. From the beginning the master king bed just felt "off". Lopsided almost. We thought it was the mattress, and that we had to rotate and move the mattress. Nope. The bed wasn't re-assembled correctly. The slats were not properly reinforced in the center and the wood bent, buckled, and finally snapped. See photos. So I waited on this review, until we opened all the boxes, and I am glad I did as our bed crashed. In the end, cannot recommend this local outfit. My national mover that brought me back to S Cal did a far more professional job, even these Murrieta movers said "Wow, those guys stacked your stuff so well in the storage unit". I wish I had used them again for this move. Not recommended.
