My favorite place to eat... The food is fantastic everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel at home. I have a service dog and they remember that his favorite thing is a full bowl of ice.that means everything to me that they are so kind to my max who takes such good care of me. I wish that I could give them 10 stars. If you haven't been there you are missing out. Very ignorant employees that work there. One in particular that choose to park in the handicap parking spot and I said something to him and he was ignorant as anything. And then the owner son didn't seem to care too much. Told him I'm gonna be calling the police if it's not moved the car since it's parked illegally. Took pictures of the vehicle and everything and the guy who owned the vehicle was ignoring her sick. So the food is somewhat decent, never had an issue with it, until today. Ordered something new off the menu. Tuna melt, was so excited because subway was closed and I couldn't get my regular sub. So we ordered from Carini's. I'm expecting a tuna melt with the lettuce and everything on AFTER it was toasted. Absolutely was not. Lettuce was disgustingly brown and chewy. Onions were whatever because I prefer them a little warmer and toasted. The tuna has that sweet Mayo in it. Which is not my favorite but it over powers the tuna taste. I got not super upset but somewhat sad because I wasn't expecting it. Told my boyfriend that I was okay I'll eat it but he insisted on going back. We were NOT MAD, not one bit! We just moved to the area and this is the first Tuna sub that has the veggies warmed up with the sub. He called ahead before heading down there just to see, because if they weren't gonna replace it and make a new one I'll just eat it. They offered to make it new and for free as well. We were pretty happy about that. Until my boyfriend got there. The "cook" which I'm assuming was the owner came out, and put his hands out to my boyfriend and said "don't ever say my foods disgusting". First of all, we didn't say it was the food. We just never seen a sub like that before. So we were a little thrown off. Second of all, don't be grabbing towards someone who just came in about a sub they were upset about but not hostile. Third of all, next time we'll just go 5 minutes more down the road to slice of Brooklyn because I know we won't get that service there. I'm sorry y'all have a "tight nit" facility but y'all just need to learn some respect. Especially the people who take your orders. The woman who took our order was severely rude. If you are not from the area this is a small town with a gem . The food is so good and fresh. We started with the Italian wedding soup and let me tell you it's definitely home made and delicious. Then we got the garlic bread with cheese the bread was so soft the cheese was just perfect. The last thing we had was the cheesesteak Stromboli another 10 I am definitely going back. Yesterday evening I placed an order delivery. Food arrived very quickly so we were thrilled. The food was horrible! I ordered Sicilian clams for my meal and it was an ample ordered of clams floating in a greasy broth covered in fresh tomatoes. I was unable to taste the dish as I am very allergic to tomatoes and the description of the clams on the menu did not state that there were tomatoes, it merely said white wine sauce. I also ordered Chicken Buongusto. The chicken is described as being in a creamy Marsala sauce with mushrooms and bacon, sounds delicious right? Negative! The order is huge pieces of steamed or poached chicken breast. Breast are straight out of the package, untrimmed. The chicken is not in a creamy sauce and is definitely not in Marsala wine. The bacon is the type of bacon you purchase when sautéed bits & pieces and was tough and completely disgusting. This pile of horse slop was floating on top of pasta, also not described as part of the order. Sadly for me, gluten allergy and I would have told them to not add the pasta. So, I called the restaurant. When I was directed to the owner & asked politely asked him about the food he merely said, "Sorry to hear that" & hung up. What I told him was that I am allergic to tomatoes and could t eat my food & had to throw it away. He was completely unapologetic & made zero effort to remedy the $63.00 order and I went without dinner. I would not recommend this establishment. The food was not good at all. We used to love to go here but our last two visits the food was not great. I literally got a chicken cheese steak wrap that had 4 bites of chicken in it, the rest was wrap and lettuce. It happened twice now. Once can be a mistake but twice Nope! It used to be our favorite thing here and favorite place to stop, Do not know what happened but for the price it wasn't worth it either time to eat a lettuce wrap. What a horrible experience, we arrived just before 8:30 PM to a restaurant that advertised that they closed at 9:00 PM on a Friday night. We could clearly see the main dining room is closed, all the chairs were up on the tables. We were asked if we were dining in or taking out, we said dining in, the girl said we could only do take out, she handed me 1 menu, I took another one for my wife. I was just passing through, driving along with my wife through rural Pennsylvania, and we got hungry enough to stop for lunch here. Carini's was a pleasant stop on the journey, with colorful decor, tasty fries, and generously portioned sandwiches. My wife had a cheesesteak, and I had a meatball sub. I'm not sure about this place. I like the food sometimes but then other times not so much. I normally get a sausage and peppers/onions. The sub is now $11. The price keeps getting higher and higher and the quality is not the same too. We pick up pizza from them pretty often at one time but I can't do that anymore. Why? You ask... I've gotten sick each time. The first few times we blamed it on everything else then them but it has to be them. I'm not sure if it's the dough or cheese but something makes us sick from them. We used to live in the New Holland/Blue Ball area, and this was the only pizza shop we would go to. There were PLENTY of options for pizza, and we tried many. Carini's was always tops. We even had them supply pizza for birthday parties. Any time we had friends up from out of the area, they would beg to order from there. Solid little Italian joint. I would say the best pizza along route 23, considering there are so many! I have never had a bad meal from there, so this has become one of my "I'm too lazy to cook" go-to spots. All of the staff I have met are very friendly and polite, and my food is always hot upon pick-up. There is something on the menu for everyone. Carini's has my vote. read more

Disappointed. This is my Go To place for pizza. I drove all the way here for a pepperoni mushroom pizza, passing other pizza options, because Carini's is usually soooo good. Tonight my pizza was burned and 'orange' from all the pepperoni grease. I opened the box expecting to see melted mozzarella, and pepperoni and mushrooms and all I saw was a over cooked pizza and grease. And pretty sparse on the mushrooms. I used to live around the corner from this place, this was a few years ago. At that time I would have rated it 3 stars, but after tonight, there's no way I can give anymore than 1. Went in with my family, the place had one other 3 person family there and thats it. I counted 6 ppl working behind the counter. Our waitress, came and took our drink order, then was back a few minutes later for our food order. We got a kids chicken fingers and fries, sampler, chicken parm sub, wings and fries. Food came out about 10 minutes later at roughly all the same time. The sampler, for $6 was two pierogies, 3 small breaded mushrooms, 2 mozz sticks and 2 onion rings. Wasn't much for the price. The other food was pretty basic, not horrible, not great. My husband said his wings were bland. Our waitress was only seen again at the very end of our meal (other than when she sat at the next table to eat wings with the bus boys) to give us the check. Other than that, we had no service. They weren't busy. At all. Like, the phone didn't ring, nobody came to pick up food, yet there were a bunch of people working, (well, the only person I saw working was the cook) goofin around, whistling, and on their phones. Two couples came in around the time we left, that was it. A pizza place being that slow on a Saturday night should tell you something. The worst part, was our check was $40! For what? This was super duper basic food. Way too expensive for what it was. Between the service and the price, we won't be going back. Ever. read more

Have gotten their pizza and enjoyed it but yuck the Stromboli. Asked them to make a meatball Stromboli which they did. My mistake thinking an Italian restaurant should be able to make a decent meatball, they can't. Store bought frozen meatballs would be better. This also had VERY little sauce just a ton of tasteless cheese. The little sauce there was caused a puddle of water on the plate. Would I get any dish there that required meatballs or red sauce? NO!! I worry now their pizza will stink but I will just try a slice first. read more
